I'm not afraid of death.

When it is my time, I will go. It's a concept I embraced relatively early in life.

Death is part of life. All humans go through it. There's no need to fear the inevitable.

Not really...what will happen, will happen. That simple. We are all going to die one of these days, and trying to avoid facing our mortality will make death a lot harder, and life a lot worst. Whatever comes afterwards...will come, and I will face it when the time comes for me whether it be tomorrow or in 50 years. I will walk down that Autumn path with death when the time comes as equals and inferior, but I do not want to be dragged across scared disbelievingly. My only real fear, i would suppose, is being unable to say my final words but if I can't, then that simple.

In the end...who wants to live forever?

Why be afraid of death? It's going to come anyway. There's no stopping it.

For me it depends on how i die. If there someone pointing a gun at me i will be scared to die like that or if i am drowning. But if it is like peaceful then i don't mind. So in a way i will say i am afraid of death.

The thought of death scares me slightly...then I think about it. Who wouldn't want to be in the Kingdom of Heaven with God? That thought surpasses my slight fear of dying.....so I'm OK with it. We all gotta go someday...

I would like to say no but I am a little bit afraid of it. I do not want to die right now or anything so really I would have to say yes a little.

Right now? No. Some people are lucky enough to have money, a significant other, kids, etc. I have none of these things, so if I died today, I'd lose only my video games.

Now, in 20 years I might be a bit worried, if my life gets better I'll have more to miss.

I don't fear death. Actually, I'm rather curious about it. Like, what happens after you die? Is there really a heaven and hell, or is there really reincarnation, that sort of thing. I've had family die and be in near-death situations, but I guess I just don't see it happening to me anytime soon.

I don't honestly feel like I'm afraid of death so much as the unknown. Death IS inevitable, but I'd kinda like to know what happens afterward... =/

Scared? Perhaps. I hope I live long. But why I say "perhaps" is that, I've always wanted to know is there anything after we go,
an afterlife blablabla, so many theories people have. And we have to be dead to find out

Its hard to say whether im afraid of death or not........i can say no and just finish it but if it actually happened then i might be.........but like most people. im very curious about death...other than suffering and pain.........ive already felt that. but still......Always curious, if theres an afterlife? or a rebirth? a question that comes in my mind when the topic comes up. but to be honest, i say i really dont know for sure yet.....When the time comes.....then i will know, hahaha till then i live like i normally do.

Snowdeath : I am not afraid of death, and i have faced a life threatening situation. To me my life is not really worth that much compared to someone else. I have never had a job (not from my own doing). I have no family that care for me. etc basically i wouldn't be missed

Basically what i am trying to say is that if i could sacrifice myself for someone else, i would gladly do it. I don't care about the after life or if i spend eternity in hell. All that matters to me is making sure that other people have a decent life.

The only thing that is guaranteed when you are born is that your going to die. (well at this moment in time)

sonicmcmuffin : Same goes with me, that I've faced a life-threatening situation. My family cares for me, but only actually cares for my grades and my career in life, which brings on severe stress to me. I've never had a job, not a volunteer one.

I would completely sacrifice my life for someone else I know and love, but I don't see myself throwing myself into a bus to save a stranger. However, we're all curious about death and afterlife, but think about this. What if there were no afterlife, and only nothingness? Or it has Heaven and Hell, or you would respawn as someone else. Who knows? It's all interesting, but you can't exactly "look forward" to that afterlife unless you were suicidal.

Also, what strike me as wrong is that... You think you have a duty to make other people's lives better than yours. Why would you want to do that? Why can't you just try to make YOUR own life better?

Snowdeath : I just think its my upbringing i spent all my childhood looking after my brothers and sisters. After i moved out i felt as if i wasn't doing enough to help others so did about 3 years of charity work. I have tried making my life better. but it conflicts with the part that wants me to help others.

Think of it in this sort of deranged way. Im a father with his kids, but i dont want to get promoted or get longer hours because my kids will suffer

I do not fear death as much as fear that will be no afterlife.

I'm not scared of death, I know that nothing lasts forever, but I don't want to die an untimely death.   I want to live all my dreams and all that before I die.   The thing that shakes me up about death is that people will be mourning me when I die.
But I wonder about what it's like to die and if there will be an afterlife and if I will be reborn someday.   I would sacrifice myself for someone else's life.
