something about a song copy write.

Umm I can really see a earthbound 3D,it will probably mess things up.I think they should just remake the game like the same earthbound from SNES for the wii or 3Ds BUT, add some special features and modes. Like it would be AWSOME if up to 4 people could play as Ness,Paula,Jeff and Poo and adventure together!!!.Also mini games would be nice.If Nintendo did that I would buy it instantly!!!!!!!!

I don't care what system they make it for (clearly Nintendo) JUST MAKE ANOTHER ONE!!! I was so disappointed when Earthbound64 was scrapped. I don't know how they couldn't keep on with this series!

The only reason (hope and dream) I could come up with was that they are secretly working on this game and are keeping it very secret for many many years and when virtual game play comes out that's when it will release. I think it'd be awesome. But what I think people are forgetting is that the Wii is basically done with any major releases, if there was to be a remake it'd be on the Wii U. Or more likely, the 3DS. Now that, Earthbound 3D, would be amazing. And I would buy it and enjoy it. Maybe with an online function too? Pure sweetness.

Considering that we haven't seen an American release of an Mother game since Earthbound, I think we're due for another game on any system.
Even if they make it a port of Mother 3, that'd be fine on my book, at least then I'd understand the dialouge.

There is no debate needed. EarthBound will NEVER come to Wii as a game, or as a download on Virtual Console. Why? Copyright issues.
Earthbound music is ripped from many of the Beatles's songs, which are under copyright. Earthbound sales back in 1995 where also crap, so that just made it worse. Mother 3 coming to America is just as likely as snow in Scaraba.
Also, Itoi had stated the night before Mother 3 was released that there would be no more sequels.
Not that I don't want the series to succeed, but it's the truth, in case you haven't seen the constant wars between Starmen.net and Nintendo.
