I have been a Skillet fan since their first album.  They are by far my favorite music group.  I'm curious on how long you have been listening to them and what you think of their new drummer Jen Ledger.  I like the versatility they get with her singing some of the female vocalist parts along with Korey.

Everything I've heard from Skillet has been introduced to me by the WWE. 'Hero' and 'Monster' were both used as ppv theme's and I loved them. Their music kind of reminds me of Evanescence, who I love. I just listened to 'Comatose', it's a great song. It's not really my kind of music, but they've got some really good songs.

I guess I am in a love/hate relationship with the band. I enjoy some of their songs, mostly from the Comatose album. Once they released the Awake album, I began thinking that this is all just depressing. As I reflect on this, I guess the reason would be what KlwedFlaw said Skillet being a grunge band.

I discovered Skillet on some online-fan radio and although they have religious messages (I generally get put off by that), they have remained as one of my favorite groups. I mainly liked the "Comatose album," especially "The Last Night." That and "Monster" caught my ear, mainly because at one point when it says "inside of me" my mind thinks dirty and think it's saying "sodomy," and I giggle. (I also laugh at the word "Duty," so yes I' am easily amused).

I do not listen to them too often, but occasionally get a song of theirs in my head. "Those Nights," "The Last Night," and "Whispers in the Dark," tend to be the ones that get in my head, with "Hero," coming on rarer occasions, but I don't know that song as well as the other three.
