I went to the same elementary school for kindergarten to 5th grade, and all of a sudden, I get a letter one day telling me that I need to transfer to a new one for 6th. Even though my original elementary school was LITERALLY right down the street from me, they told me that I HAD to leave because I was within the school limits or something. Same district, but I had to start riding the bus. -__- I'll admit, I made a lot of new friends at my new school, but it was still a hassle. -sigh- Luckily, we all came back together for middle school.

I lived in a part of town for and went to an elementary school until after 2nd grade. We then moved into a house that summer, and I went to a new elementary school starting 3rd grade. It isn't as dramatic as transferring in the middle of a semester or school year, but I still had to make new friends in a group that already had friendships established.

I moved after the 1st grade, I didn't care that much then I mean it's easy to make friends at that. Then I moved again in the 4th grade I got mad then but I loved the school I moved to then I moved after the 1st quarter of 8th grade and I was really pissed off about it and I'm still pissed off about it but at least I can still talk to all of my old friends and I'm making new friends now I hope I don't have to move again and if I do I'd like to move back to my old school.

I haven't switched schools unless you count going from elem. To high school. I did think that I was going to have to go to a different high school than I normally would have when I found out I was going to move, but I got lucky and only moved about 2 blocks away from my old hoouse.Sucky thing is, my new house is RIGHT next to my old school, and my old house was pretty close to my high school.

pulled me out of that awful place. The kids there were always picking on me
because I acted differently and thought differently then anybody else. The school
I finally graduated from was called Academic Achievement Center. It was a school
for people with learning disabilities which is one of the reasons I was picked on in
Tomlin.

I did! Last year they built a new school like, literally next to my house. I had been going to another one for 4-5 years. Well, I transferred and moved back to my old school within 3 days. The new school was messed up with the schedule. Besides, my teacher was mean-like demon mean- and all the other teachers were psychos. *shudders* Now I'm back at Mary Blair Elementary school. THE BEST SCHOOL EVER! I will just have to leave all my friends here next year, when I go to middle school, which is also right by my house.

I have only transferred schools once. It was in the 7th grade. A lot of drama went down and we wound up having to leave my birth town and travel to the tiny little town of Leitchfield. The kids were not very welcoming because I was a "city girl". But that's all over now so I don't care too much.
