Mankey was caught off guard, and a critical-hit Tackle knocks it out cold. Only one Mankey remains who uses a Low-Kick on Shinx, knocking it to the ground. Munchlax sees Shinx in trouble, uses Metronome, and hits Mankey with a Giga Impact. Shinx's Tackle finishes it off.

Suddenly, our itemfinders explode with noise and beeps. After Rhyhorn smashes a few rocks apart for us, we find a stash of heart scales! These are completely useless to us, but I have a friend in Pewter City who has an interest in those sorts of things. Maybe we can get a trade for these later on.

We come across a Geodude. He is munching a Oran Berry, and a pile of berries lies next to him. In the pile, a Rawst Berry is unmistakable. Do we knock out the Geodude and get the Berry for the burnt Riolu (as well as a few other berries we can see in the pile) or do we avoid provoking the Geodude?
