Its wrong, no ifs ands or buts about it. I think that the only type of racism I'm apart of, is the one that's against people looking down on people with other religions and what not. It's stupid. I think that if people dislike another race that much, then they should work on making a whole country just based on their selves. It's not fair for others to suffer the wrath of prejudice, especially the younger ones.

I'm sad to say it, but I've got a huge racism tolerance (no doubt due to the fact that I've been watching South Park since I was 13) and have even been known to say some racist things myself. I'm not proud of it, and I know it's wrong, and if I had the chance, I'd take back a lot of the racist things I've said. I have been the subject of racism too, but I try not to show any problems it, but deep down, I've felt it. Racism is a huge topic of jokes, but it really isn't a joke, and some people (including, for a while, myself) just don't get that. 

In short, racism is bad, here's a sad example. In-till recently, a air-line (not sure of name)would only hire you as a flight assistant if you were between 20 and 30, Female, and single. That's a big example. But you still can't help judging some people. Its when people start treating people differently because of skin colour, eye colour and hair colour.(PLEASE NOTE: I'm australian and "color" with a u is spelled correctly ) 

I could go on about how I believe it is wrong, and why I think it is wrong, but in the end it just comes down to this: I think it's wrong, because I don't feel that is right. And I also strongly believe that it is simply a fact that racism is wrong.

Yes, racism is definitely wrong. I mean, basing people on their race? How ignorant can racist people be? We're all people who coexist with one another, so why should someone with another skin color be singled out? I guess I can understand if the person who is being judged tolerates it and takes it as a joke, but even so, racism is bad and not how someone should judge a person.

Racism is just wrong it does not matter about the colour of the skin its there personality and feelings that matter

Racism is and always will be stupid It's retarded people focusing on the aspect that doesn't make a person; their skin color. Oh, how I wish we lived in a world where racism didn't ever exist.

Skin color is one of the most basic ways of judging people. That being out there, I think that if the only way you judge people is by skin color, then you got problems man.

I think racism is wrong no matter you put it. Now I've heard of certain problems arising like death crime high among the black and hispanic community, but that is due to dumb decision making rather than their race.

I think our country takes racism way to seriously I know its wrong to be prejudice and I'm not racist but I believe its not that much of an important subject anymore

Well it might not affect you personally, but racism is something bad that still something bad and it should be made clear that it  is unacceptable. And when people start to take it lightly, that's when it can resurface. Oh, and I'm going to delete my earlier post because I think that It contradicts itself.

Racism is bad. We should all be able to agree on that. But, some of us cannot escape it. If you live in the bad part of L.A., where African Americans and Hispanics shoot each other because of race, do you really think that you will not be racist? Anyway, even if you try your whole life, everybody is racist and stereotypical. Warmaker is correct in what he said. If you really think you would think of the two people as the same, you are either stupid or Jesus.

I hate racism I think that God has made us all equal and the fact that someone would hate an equal is stupid. Now if the person has done something that is a different story.

I am not just going to say racism is wrong and why its wrong, as enough people have said that already.

@ the person who said everybody is a racist, and then cited the example of black man vs white lady at night. If I encounter a 6 2 220 man at night,  I would have the reaction that your saying, but not for racist reasons. It wouldn't matter if the guy was white 6 2 220, I would react the same way. If it was a black 50 year old female, then I would have the same reaction if it was a white 50 year old female.

JUDGING: there is a difference between judging and CONDEMNING. When judging, you are trying to determine if something is good,better,best,bad,neutral. Condemning is where you not only judge the actions of somebody or something, but you say the person or thing is bad, and condemn them(say that they should be punished and or punish them in a extreme way.)

Everybody makes judgements, some good,accurate,some bad, that's why we have to be careful in how we judge,because bad judging can lead to condemning

But despite that we have to judge, otherwise everything would be chaotically bad.I judge peoples actions, and say they are wrong or right, so that I follow their good example and don't follow their bad example, and don't let their bad actions hurt me, and let their good actions help me.

So please don't go saying never ever judge. And that scripture that say "judge not,lest ye be judged" has other translations and meanings, one of which means "judge not unrighteously, lest ye be judged, or "condemn not, lest ye be condemned" that's what that scripture really means.

So good judging is ok.


Now to the person who said we are all racist., and that a person cant say they are not a racist. I understand that even if one is not racist like 99.999% of the time, that they can have racist thoughts, and or do racist actions once in a super great while, because of temptation,sin, societal, and cultural, environmental influences, no matter how unracist one is.

Even though that's the case, that person is not a racist. There is a difference between having a racist thought, and or doing a racist action, and being a racist.. Being a racist means there is  at least a semi consistent pattern of having at least somewhat some to lots of racist thoughts and doing racist actions. Having a racist thought or doing a racist action, can mean that someone is a racist without realizing it, and that they have just kept their racism to themselves,etc, but doesn't necessarily make that so.

Like take me for example. I say I am not a racist. I say this because growing up my parents taught me to not be racist, and because I have had some of my best friends growing up and in my adult life that are black, when I am white. And I think racism is wrong. But even that being the case, I have had at least 1 racist thought and probably 1 racist motivated action(don't know or remember what that was), that I have probably done in my 40 years of life.

Does that make me a racist? No Why not? Because I have,had black friends, was taught that racism was wrong by parents, and think racism is wrong, and no consistent pattern of racist thoughts,words,actions,etc

So I am not a racist, and it is insulting to me and others non racist to call me and other non racist, a racist when they are not a racist. So please don't call me and other non racist, a racist.

I'd like to mention the concept of Bagism. It is a term created by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Imagine you are speaking with someone, except they are sitting inside a bag. You cannot see their appearance, their race, the length of their hair. Thus, you cannot judge them based on these things. You can ONLY judge them based on what they have to say and the way they say it. This is total communication. The internet is a form of bagism in some cases. When people choose to remain anonymous, all we can judge them on is their behavior.

This is how we should judge people, based on who they really are, not based on external appearance. Because in the end, that's all race really is; Your external appearance. Because it is not even indicative of culture or upbringing 100% of the time.

Hmm, I'm not racist, but a lot of my family members are white supremest-skinheads... I just have to deal with it at family gatherings, but I don't hang out with them otherwise, which is awkward because they are my family...
