Light Knight : If you want to avoid mainstream anime/manga(even though the later episodes of Naruto and Bleach get pretty intense in my opinion), I would suggest History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. It is a martial arts manga that chronicles the advancement of Kenichi who is studying under five master level fighters who train him in varying styles like karate, judo, muey thai,and jujitsu. Another good one is Deadman's wonderland, I do believe they just started showing it on adult swim. It's all about torturing inmates and using blood magic. It is a bit on the dark side but you learn to relate to the characters rather quickly. You really can't go wrong with anything Shonen.

Most recent I saw Was Shuffle! I really liked it, I really liked the characters and grew attached to them. "Monster".
I like it for its deceiving slow beginning, it turns out quite differently after the seventh episode, it does allot with a little.
I wish there was more anime like it, it doesn't use anything surreal (much) or fantasy or sci-fi, its just fantastic.

That and finishing up "Durarara!!"

I finished Trigun a couple months ago. That anime was so awesome... Awesome beyond words.

After I finished that, I moved on to The Slayers. I'm on season 2, now. Pretty funny stuff XD Definitely recommend it if you like action-comedies
