I believe SilverMaestro had the right idea with his post. Pokemon like the starters and psuedo's are already strong as is.

However think of some pokemon like lets say Butterfree? Or Beautifly? It doesn't even have to be a 4th evo, just a 3rd on some like Ursaring.

There are over 600 pokemon now, yet why are only a fraction of them able to be used competitively? By advancing the ones who aren't up to par, you are increasing the difficulty and making it more strategical and fun.

Hmm - a fourth evolution sounds interesting but I don't think they have finished making final/pre evolutions for some Pokemon.

For example - Quagsire doesn't seem as though it is finished yet. I would really like an evolution of that.

However I love evolving and it's awesome to see that my hard work has paid off. Maybe only a few can have four evolutions. Or even they can have about 10 evolutions but it shows it gradually changing. I can imagine some of them looking extremely disgusting if you see each small stage of evolution. xD

I've seen the 4th evolution that the person intended to be an evolved Raichu and it look pretty cool. I think most pokemon are overpowered if they reach the fourth stage of evolution so I'd probably like it to be alternative evolutions instead. Gotta maintain the balance of power.

To beat the game you need some really high levels, about 70 to 99 or so. So it usually gets boring levelling your guy for about 50 or 60 levels for no gain. So I think an addition of another evolution would be pretty nice. It would be good in the fifties range. I just feel like it would make the game more fun later on in it.  That isn't even going into the aspect of the TV show and movies. Would be a lot more interesting and more pokemon to catch. Not to say the people who own Pokemon would love it because they could sell more products and tada more money!

Idk, imo they should focus on the pokemon that have only 1 evolution to no evolution first, and then after that if they wanted (since it is their game) they could make a 4th evolution for some things, but I personally believe they should stick with the basic form and then the 2 evolutions after that, because really a pokemon only has 1 or 2 evolutions, not 3 because the basic form is an evolved form so it wouldn't be an evolution so really the 4th evolution would be a 3rd evolution.
