There's a fun glitch that I read about online that you can do during the second battle against Ganondorf (Ganon). It doesn't accomplish or damage anything that I know of. It's just for fun
. I advise reading the entire post before trying it.
When you knock him down the first time, the flames disappear and the Master Sword becomes available. Before you grab the sword, check Ganon's position on the ground. To even attempt the glitch, Ganon's tail must be facing towards the Master Sword.
If he is not facing the Sword, wait around until he gets back up
. It won't take too long. He should only need 3 or 4 hits before he falls again. Just make sure his tail is facing Zelda (and the Master Sword) when he falls. You can redo this step as many times as you want
.
Now go and grab the sword. Rather than running back to him, walk out to the very edge of the platform, then turn around. Here's a picture of the platform:
Equip the Light Arrows and aim an arrow at his tail
.
Now fire the arrow
.
If you miss, just try again. It could take a while
. I got it fairly quickly because I used the
Smooth X and Smooth Y Technique to make aiming more accurate
. I also had him in a very good spot and at a good angle, so it was easy to aim at his tail.
When you hit his tail, he stands up and the wall of fire reappears
. Because Link is outside of the ring of fire, the game gets a bit unhappy
. Link is picked up and dragged back into the battle area by the fire
.
The only effect that I know of is that you lose some health because of the fire
. Besides that, it's just for the fun of glitching the game
.
That's all for this thread. I just finished the game, so I thought it would be fun to share this glitch.
P.S. Those blue words link to the thread I made about the Smooth X and Smooth Y feature that you can toggle for your own personal use. Green looked ugly, so I changed the font to blue.
