Oh boy... where should I start with this? First of all...

Now... to start the reminising...

I joined as a COMPLETE NEWBIE on September 14th 2010. I had been in college for a few weeks now, and was bored in my dorm room. Things were simple. Classes had just started and I needed something to distract me for the coming months. This something was video games. So I hopped on my computer and looked up (as odd as it sounds) pokemon hacks. Yeah, you heard me right, Pokemon Hacks. I stumbled upon a fail of a hack (by my estimation) Pokemon: Chaos Black. I played for a while, and noticed I only got a certain amount of credits. I learned I'd get to play forever if I joined. So I joined very cautiously. I usually don't join any sites unless a friend reccomended it. After a while, I noticed it cost a small amount of Vizzed to play a game. I started to run out so I invited guests, and I had Viz flowing in by the EARFUL (I was a newbie, during the summer bash or whatver it was that David threw, so I got 3000 Viz if a person posted) I ended up making a ton of Viz, and basically able to play forever.

I seriously had enough viz, that I could consider playing EVERY game I ever wanted to play. Things were good. Then... one day... something happened to this.

I got bored.

Bored of gaming all day.

I needed interaction. I needed friends.

Remember this? This is one of my most cherished threads. This was where I met the first REAL friend I had on Vizzed. Casy and I go back a bit. All the way back to our "newbie" days. We SPAMMED the HELL out of that thread at the time. Big was NOT happy with us and complained. I believe he called us spam bots! Rofl. Things have changed since then, we will look at that in a bit.

Around this time, I felt more welcome, between playing games and posting in the forum... but it wasn't enough. No. Not for me.

I never thought they would end. Things were finally ok for me, a guy who always had problems talking to people in real life.

After a little more time posting and chatting, I met the first real power on the site.

DH and I have a shady story. One that has been repeated numerous times, in both truth, and rumor, although these days it's hard to tell who is telling the truth and who is just uttering a fool's rumors.

When I first met DH, I'll admit, I didn't think much of him. People worshipped him, and praised him, and to me, he seemed kinda high on himself. I didn't like him at first. And I believe the first thing he did when I asked "Who the hell he was", was say he was "more powerful than I would ever be" I took it as a challenge and a joke, and thus began my desire to be more respected in chat and on site. He struck a fire in my competitive heart.

At first... didn't help me out much, I at the time did not know of the way he joked. It was the day AFTER I met DH ironically, but I remember entering chat and being completely ignored. No one said "Hey legacy" when I entered. And then I saw the names, geeogree, DarkHyren, big fat cat, and alexanyways, among many other respected members. It was my first trial with seeing numerous people at once in chat. I felt bad about being "ignored" and I said something expressing my distaste of it. Then geeo said something I took as rude at the time, but looking back, it was just part of his way of joking, which I cherish now, it's one of the many things that makes me enjoy geeo's company in chat.

Once a few days passed, I saw I was getting these things called, "Trust Points." I asked DH, "What the **** is a Trust Point?" He explained the system to me, and showed me his TP reserves. I got very excited over collecting these strange objects I had no idea existed. I became a trusted member in a few more days. A whole week after I joined chat.

About two weeks after I became trusted, something big was going down...

Mod applications.

I saw that, and asked DH what a mod did. He explained the job of a moderator, and then I thought, this is a chance to become respected like I had hoped for a few weeks. Feeling I had no chance at being selected, I made a very modest application. I posted in bunches following this and came under my first OPS. This was my first time ever hitting more than 100 posts in a single day. Then I talked to metal, DH and LYNDZ about mod apps FREQUENTLY and was noobier than I had been at any point since joining. About a week later, I was on MSN chatting, and then DH told me to refresh my vizzed homepage. I saw the change he wanted me to see.

I was named Local Moderator, along with sophie and

I was proud to finally be among the elite core on the site. I was a moderator, a whole 2 months after joining. After I was picked, a lot of more known members had gotten upset over my being picked for modship. No names will be named, but you will know who you are.

Needless to say, there were people happy for me irregardless.

Who has since been given a severe perma ban, was one of the people who supported me most. I had become fast friends with him a few weeks before. Even joining his little group. "The Droog Embassy" (note- See Clockwork Orange. Good Movie)

I posted about 300 times in the next 5 days, even once hitting ravering. I wanted a layout. so I asked for my first one from alexanyways.

He gave me an html layout which he coded based on the design that,

I didn't like the blockieness compared to the CSS layouts on-site, so I turned to someone who was making very quality layouts...

I thank her for giving me my first face on Vizzed. Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass) is one of my favorite anime characters, and some people said I resemble him, both in looks and personality. I don't know whether to feel honored or horrified...

Well the layout stuck until I started learning to make layouts myself later. (the one you see now, is an example of what I do.)

Being a mod was fun. I wasn't well respected at first, mostly because people were bitter I was made a mod over them, but praise started to come, and before I knew it, people were starting to make me feel real special. Before I came to Vizzed, I saw myself as a nobody, but after being treated in such a way? Yeah, I grew the infamous leggy ego.

Also at this point, I needed a nickname.

So I turned to a few friends... lyndz.. and she gave me my nickname which sticks to this day... leggy. DH called me Doc, for various reasons which will be explained. So some people called me Leggy, some called me Doc, and Some called me Doctor Leggy. All this, and I thought, wow, I'm making a name for myself.

Some time passed, in what my friend Casy has coined "The Golden Age of Vizzed", which I see as a perfect description. There was not much fighting in chat, the mods worked well together, and everyone did their own thing, so everyone was happy. It was definitely the most peaceful time I had here on Vizzed.

Then came the horrid month of January. This was the worst month of my Vizzed life.

I was well respected, both as a mod, and a user at this point. But a lot of that changed.

I won't bother posting the story again, because everyone knows that something happened. No one tends to want to remember it anyway between those involved. It was no less than a tragedy.

Just know this is the basic story
1.Month starts
2.I get upset
3.I feel I'm not getting what I deserve in terms of friendship
4.I start to collapse
5.I do collapse
6.I start drinking
7.I get pissed at DH
8.I tell his secret (which i regret today)
9.Huge fallout between us
10.DH leaves Vizzed. Possibly forever.

That's all that really needs to be said about the worst month of my life.

Finally, we have the month of Februrary, which I see as the month of the Search for Truth.

The above incident had such a ripple, people are confused as to what actually happened. Maybe everyone knows, maybe no one knows. Maybe it's better left unsaid? Who knows. I'm just telling it as "I" see it.

People have started to accuse me of being a trickster. Called me a liar. Deceitful. I have never once backed away... except for that time I left for a few days to try and collect myself.I have since been active and answered all questions from my point of view.

Yet, despite all that, I continue to be happy. I continue to come here every day. Because one thing hasn't changed since I joined on September 14th 2010.

The people. The games. The fun.

Sure things could be different. Sure I wish I could take back some things I have said. But when it boils down to it, nothing we can say will change what happened. In the end, what are we? Just humans.

Vizzed does have a good future. The first thing that needs to happen is we need to find someone to follow the lead of. We need to get AWAY from the past, and stop the hate. We need to unify, and band together. It sounds corny I know, but the strength is in all of us to make a better tomorrow, both in our lives and on this site.

You could say Vizzed has changed my life.

You could say I have changed lives.

You could say that things will never be the same.

But I say, that I am legacyme3. Doctor Leggy. I'm just another of the near 100,000 members on this site.

I came, I got to a relative top. I loved, I lost. I became a mod, I quit my job. I betrayed a friend, and I saved another. I gained public approval, and lost it as well.

I may at this point be controversial. I may at this point be "unsavable." I know there are some people who wish I would just go away. I am a cancer, they will say. But I'm just being leggy, trying to right the wrongs, to bring the truth to light. I'm just doing what everyone else has been doing from day 1.

I am Jake Kostik. I am 18. I have seen things here, that some should probably never have to see.

But I'm happy with who I am. I'm happy with where I am at. I have made mistakes like any other human has.

WOW Leggy. I am so glad you posted this. I wasn't here from the "beginning". But I have seen a lot. I wish we all could get along. Leave the past where it belongs. But unfortunately some people just can't let things go. It's a sad truth. We live in a world where people tend to focus on the negative. The world would be a better place if we all looked more at the good, and let that out way the bad.

Regardless of what happened I still consider you as a friend here on Vizzed. Hopefully everything works out for the best for everyone.....I appreciate you mentioning my name as someone who influenced your life here.
