What luck! I just saw the goriest thing I ever saw on a tv show. It was an HBO show so I think it counts. I believe the series is called "Rome" but I'm not sure. Anyway, a woman was praying for her and her son to be safe and a cow was sacrificed right on top of her and all of its blood fell on her for a good 20 - 30 seconds. Very gory.
