Some are good and some are not, just like originals, so I don't see a problem with them.

In some movies, it is good, but some would be bad.  I personally think that making a movie that is suppose to be related to the movie and changing it up a bit like different actors and different scenes just makes me sick.  For example, Evan Almighty and Bruce Almighty.  When I heard about Evan Almighty, I would never want to see it.  Never make a movie that is related cause I would not watch that.  Bruce Almighty is like 10 times better than Evan Almighty and Bruce Almighty was made before Evan Almighty.

the majority of remakes are awful and they don't represent the original well take king kong for example the 1933 classic was so impressive even today, the 1976 remake was lousy. Karate kid was probably the best remake I have ever seen

I think most remakes stink and insult the originals, but there are some that are actually pretty good. In my overall opinion I think Hollywood should concentrate on making new movies instead of just remaking movies -___-

It depends on how the remake is, and which game they are remaking. If its a popular game, then it has potential to be a good remake, but then again, it could be a disaster as well. If its an underrated game, then it could be overlooked, but it could be a good game and get the original game some popularity. So it really depends. It can be good or bad.

Really,it depends on how good the remake is gonna be.Spider-man 2 was a remake of Spider-man and it was a really good movie. It could also be a remake into a video game if the remake of the last movie was popular

Personally there are some good remakes, like the first remake of the Thing or the remake of the Italian job, but there are some remakes that make me want to start a chain of murders, Like the recant remake of The Thing, It was Terrible (capital T for a reason). Another thing is that there are so many movies being remade now a days that I think that the media industry is being run by a bunch of idiots that pick a random movie title out of the worlds largest top hat and say
"Okay, people. The next remake will be," looks at paper, "Alice in wonderland"
"But, sir. We just did that"
"Shut up! The top hat of movie picking has spoken. Now get to work!"
Now that puts a pretty picture in your head, don't it?

remakes are okay If you look at Dawn of the Dead they're both good and Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory but then there are loads of horrible remakes but I don't feel like listing them all.

I don't know. I've seen several remakes and most were fine.
Rob Zombie's remake of Friday the 13th is pretty freaking good!

Honestly, I think it depends on the remake. I can't say all remakes are good or all remakes are bad. The remake of True Grit  was way better than the original, but the remakes of Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street were horrendous. Sometimes you can find a director who can make a remake work, and sometimes the director will rape the story line. It all depends.

I think it all depends on the movie and or the game. Most remake these days are somewhat better than the original.

I don't mind remakes if they are actually well done. The issue is that lately they haven't been. A lot of the movies are just cashing in on the name slapped on the poster/DVD's

Take Karate Kid for example. It's so different I don't know why they even bothered to call it that...except for we know why. The cash-in.

If they would at least stay true to the source material, I'm sure fans would be a lot more accepting of them

I hate remakes or anything that had to be redone with different cast members, plot, etc. Take the Titannic 3D movie, Biggest waste of time and money; if I want to watch Titannic, I'll watch the DVD version. I mean imagine if they remade Citizen Kane, Casablanca, or Gone with the Wind; those remakes would never have the same out of talent, script, plot detail, or acting that the original made.

Depending on the movie if it was on something that didnt need a remake then it might be bad.But remakes are good and bad depending on the movie so I am a bit neutral on good and bad remakes.

Theirs a lot of factors that go in to if a remake will be good or bad such as what movie is being remade, who's the director and producer and also what actors are playing what parts could either make or break a remake

They can be good or bad. Most of the time bad. The thing I dislike the most is that these directors are running out of original material and are turning to remaking movies than end up screwing it up.

I think a better question would be name the remakes that have been made that were actually at least AS good as the original. I think if you really thought about it, that number would be very, very low.

I remember watching the newer Dawn of the Dead, I do not believe I actually watched the original one. I personally think that remakes are okay as long as they incorporate newer technology and actually improve upon the movie. There are some movies in which the way they were done was great and the producers can not really make a creation nearly as good as that one.

If they can improve upon or at least keep the movie comparable to the first one, then yeah. I just do not think that many movies are truly able to.

To me, it basically depends on what movie is remade, and how well it's done. I generally enjoy watching remakes of older movies to try and point out any major differences between the two, and which one I like better.
