When you check your team, you will see that one of your Pidgeys has turned into Mewtwo, and an Ultra Ball is missing from your items.

after this the pause screen will come up, exit and you will run into a shiny mew. You must catch it while only using your Clefairy, and then you must release it right away, if you use more than 3 Pokeballs (must be caught in a regular Pokeball) then you will ahve to do the entire cheat over again.
