What do you think is the most important item in the series? This is excluding Key Items, berries and Poke Balls. I understand Poke Balls are probably the most important since you need them to catch the Pokemon. But out of normal items, what do you think is needed?

My vote goes to the TM/HM families. By learning new, stronger attacks you are eliminating the chances of being fainted or losing. Of course you need speed to go first, but thats what training is for.

I agree that TM/HM are the most important items in any Pokemon game. Especially, HM because you need them in order to progress and get farther in the game.

I would say pokeballs, but since you exclude them, I'll say rare candies. They're very useful for me, because they save my time and help me level up easily my pokemons

I say that the potions are the most important. You will have a hard time getting through the Elite Four (especially in the 4th gen) without them. TMs/HMs are also important.

I like rare candies and all, but the stat gains that you get arent quite as good as if you were to just train them by battling. I use them to level up pokemon for evolution to complete my pokedex. I am going to have to agree that TM/HM's are the most important items in the pokemon games.

Well yes Potions are important but think of it like this. Dont you all stay near a Pokemon Center to heal and train? So you dont waste money and Potions? Exactly, so theoretically, you could train enough where you wont have to worry about low health or being hit too often. If you overlevel youll be outspeeding them and causing extreme damage. And kinda off topic but im reading 8-Bit Theater and it re-ignited my love for Black Mage. He is so lovable, he has my anger issues

I will say Max revives since they fully heal any pokemon that has fainted excluding pp. Other wise sacred ash for same reasons.

I agree with you and say HM's/TM's. You need HM's to get to the next town, and TM's can teach you some overpowered moves

Yea like i loved getting Surf in Hoenn since Swampert doesn't learn any good Water moves until Muddy Water. That means your using Water Gun. And its a big step up from 40 base Power to 95 base Power

When you lvl up a pokemon with a rare candy, it doesn't get as good of a stat boost as it would of if you just leveled up through experience. So I make it a point not to use them. I'd say EXP Share, Running Shoes, or HM Fly

Hatch my egg, please!

In most games, the Bicycle. It's fun!

In Heart Gold and Soul Silver, the GB Player, hands down. Definitely required for a fully enjoyable experience.

If I'm just doing it to fill up my pokedex by evolving, it's exp share since I'll put it on a pokemon go a round or two with the elite 4 and BAM. But if it's for actual battles and what not, you can never go wrong with a good old fashion max elixer specially if you have pokemon who only have 5-10 moves, 1 max elixer a hyper potion, and a max revive with one very awesome dagonite will get you through any situation.

Currently, the most important items in my opinion are Power items. They really help with EV training which can be a pain in the butt without them.

I think potions are the most important, i mean sure there are lots of pokecenters but sometimes your Pokemon just wont make it because of random battles or you are in a big battle (for example: the Elite Four).

I agree that Potions are useful and all. But i still stand by my reasoning that with enough training and the proper movesets, complements of TM/HMs , that there won't be need for Potions

I think the Ethers and Elixirs can be the most important. Full Restores can also be useful. Those are practically requirements for Elite Four battles unless your Pokémon are severely overtrained or you have a ton of Hyper Potions.

Max revives are probably the most important items, especially when in the Elite Four. In Generation 2, the TM Rocksmash is the most important because you really need it but there is only one.

I'm going with some of the rarer more overpowered held items. I mean, Pokemon's all about being the best right? So what's the point if you can't beat you're friend in that lvl. 100 match?
