Hey everyone, vizwiz123

Name your favorite Final Boss themes and describe the feeling you get from it
and how well it fits the final boss it's used for.

My favorites are the HAG 1 from Banjo-Tooie because it induces the fear of of being
obliterated by a TANK, Big Arm from Sonic 3 because the sky darkens, and it sounds like the....apocalypse, and The Doomsday Zone fro Sonic & Knuckles because you're flying through space as Super Sonic, trying to end Eggman once and for all!

I don't know the name of the theme, but the final boss fights in Xenosaga 3 had such epic music you really felt like it was serious business and almost sacred in it's necessity for you to beat the boss. I seriously recommend the Xenosaga series to anyone who enjoys RPGs, and if you've ever read the bible you'll recognize a lot of names.

The Suikoden series also had very good music, and some of the ones I bought even came with the soundtrack inside the game case. The music at the last fight of Suikoden 4 really made it feel like if you destroyed the evil guy, there'd be no more wars or anything and you better not mess it up.

My favorite Final Boss Theme is Skies Of Arcadia Legends Final Boss against Ramirez. The battle took place in a big battle ship. The sky was gray and the music was magical, you can say. The battle was very hard because the boss always strikes a 1-hit KO. My tactics were attack, attack, revive, attack. XD

Good thing, the characters had a variety of moves, with the melee, magic, and range. The special moves were Epic, and the battle was very hard and long. I would say it was a Legendary Battle for me. I like the overall of the game too. I wish they can make a sequel to it.

I liked the final boss music for Earthbound. Strange, yet so alluring. I can't describe it really well; it's spooky, but the more I listen to it, the more I WANT to listen to it again. Its pretty much my favourite FINAL boss music, but not really my favourite boss music.

I agree my friend, the final battle theme(s) against Giygas was breathtaking.

Nostalgia creeps when I listen to the theme(s).
It's such a wonderful and soothing, yet dark and creepy track(s).
Just play the game and you'll understand.
Shogo Sakai really outdid himself, not only on the Giygas theme(s),
the whole EB soundtrack was simply amazing!

This isn't my favorite boss theme, but you know which one is actually really good?

The Last Mario Bowser battle. The fast Pipe Organ really sets the mood.

But as for my favorite, I'm really not sure. It's not something I can just think of.

I like the Elite Four music from the 3rd gen pokémon games & the Champion music from the 4th gen games. They sound epic(for a pokémon game) & you just know you're at the end of the game.

The themes involving Metroid Prime/Dark Samus are good too. They just let you know there's impending doom on the horizon.

Yes, Xenosaga does have some good final battle music. After reading your post, BTowns, I can't seem to recall what the final boss music sounded like. Xeonsaga 1 has my favorite final battle theme from the series. It has a church-like feel to it. Go figure, since the series is all about pseudo-biblical names.

A theme that is still definitely one of my favorites is the final battle in Final Fantasy 6- the one right before Kefka, when you're attacking the column (of Kefkas). Sqaure did a wonderful job on that score and having the transition from one music track to the other as you moved up the 3 battle spots of the column was pretty awesome.

Secret of Evermore also has one of my favorite final battle themes. It's seemingly lengthier than most video game scores of its time.

My favorite, though, is the Summoned Beast Battle from FFX.

Cyro Xero, I totally agree with you on the FFVI thing . The entire track is called Dancing Mad, it's like 15 minutes long... totally insane. If you see the sheet music for it you see so many repeats of sections, and there's already like 6 pages of it. The "organ solo" as i'd like to call it gives me this chilling feeling. That is definitely one of my favorites. Others would have to be One Winged Angel(except that's kinda overrated...)and the last battle theme against Lavos in Chrono Trigger. It's got such a driving rhythm/bass and the percussion is pretty sweet. Also I like music in the end of Super Metroid when you go against Mother Brain and the whole deal because it's got this freakish sound to it.

My favorite final boss theme is Dracula from the Castlevania games. I think this battle is epic because when you play this game you know that you're in his castle making your way through his minions. Then as you beat the stage bosses you get a sense of suspense, knowing that you're getting closer to facing him. So the final theme in Castlevania is always a culmination of the game.

Mine is The Place Where Evil Sleeps from Panel de Pon. The final boss is the goddes of light, and the tone of the song personifies that perfectly.

Another awesome one is The Final Conflict from Treasure of the Rudras. Although I have yet to GET to the final boss in this game, i've heard the theme, and I absolutely love it.

Skies of Arcadia Music - Final Battle Theme

This final battle music is unique because rather than give the feel of something insanely powerful that you are clinging to a thread of hope to beat, it harnesses the momentum of the story to that point, by practically announcing that this is an equal battle, something that both parties can win. You feel the strength of equality throughout it, as it's emphasis isn't on the final boss's power, but that this struggle will be remembered throughout history. This is a fanfare of finality. It also sounds so awesome that I listen to it everyday.

My favorite theme is Kuja's theme from Final Fantasy 9. His theme music is the only music in the game that has the eerie feel to it.
