This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed a Game Boy Advance game, I really have to have patience when doing games like this, or games with extra buttons in general. I’m actually more familiar with the Animated Series than I am the TGIF sitcom (the only character from the school that made it onto the cartoon was Harvey, and they weren’t even dating in it, one of these days I will find the time to finish Zapped and Spooked) and the recent Netflix series, but kind of knowing what I know about the sitcom, I am now so confused because the animated series really screws with the Continuity, and well because of the TGIF sitcom the fact that Hilda and Zelda are cursed to be young is now part of the lore, what I definitely do know is that Sabrina goes through more friends than boyfriends (seriously even in the sequel animated series she’s besties with someone else, why is it that Harvey always carries over?). now if only there was a way to get the show on Pluto TV in my country

Gameplay and Story: It all started when Hilda got envious of Sabrina’s dating life. While trying to make the perfect date Hilda accidentally petrifies herself and causes inanimate objects to come alive and attack people and now we have to find ingredients to de-petrify her, now you’d think that once Hilda is de-petrified the problems are over right? Wrong, this sets up a domino effect that will effect the rest of the game, Hilda turns Zelda into a fish after an argument and we also have this quiz master that challenges Sabrina in order to strengthen her magic, though she had her witch’s license for quite awhile though, and then within every stage we get cursed and we can’t use a certain spell unless we unlock it, this game is so complicated.

Graphics: Kind of well what you would expect for a game boy advanced game, something I kind of noticed when playing GBA games, it makes me wonder how are the games really advanced? I mean yes they actually are better than the graphics on a game boy (of either regular or Color) but it shows off better in the cut scenes rather than the game itself

Depth: There are four stages in the game they take place in the Spellman home, Sabrina’s High School (I guess this takes place while she's still in High school since she was in College by the time the game was released), some weird plant world and a pizzeria called The Slicery which is actually a nightmare to get through in the last level, there are 4 mini games to play to help strengthen Sabrina’s magic and if we’re not successful we have to try again until we get it right. Also with the spells there are a certain amount of spell orbs in order to do something like the sleeping spell will take 3 zaps or the plant will take 4 zaps

Addictive: I played and completed this game a second time in order to do a proper review of it it can be addictive when you've mastered some parts but the last level really sucks the fun out (especially since there's a morphing piece of dough that's used as a platform

Soundtrack: Whatever it is it kind of does fit within the game (I can't call it the Sabrina verse because it's part of Archie comics)

Difficulty: man that last stage in the slicery is a pain in the butt, it’s a long maze all of your spells are in curse mode, and you are totally lost you don’t even remember where you started (a map would have been so useful here) oh yeah and if things aren’t difficult enough there’s this golden line that chases you at least once per stage yeah that’s fun NOT! (when this happens I advice to use those orbs sparingly) on the upside everything regenerates after you’ve done these minigames…problem is it also includes the objects you’ve zapped

Post review follow up: Well the game is a harmless distraction and like I said in the intro game boy advanced games really do have to take alot of patience
