How would you say your stress levels have shifted between each rank and promotion on the site, such as from local to global, global to admin, etc. etc.? Any year in particular that stands out as the most stressful on the site, regardless of rank?

Allysa8th : I really appreciate this question for making me think about each rank I've had on the site I think it's super interesting cause I've now held every site rank in terms of site staff, local, global, and admin. As site staff I think I only ever stressed myself out and got in my own head so definitely not site staff. As a local I honestly didn't do much or take it to seriously probably even less serious than I should have cause I really missed out on fully understanding a local's power which I've payed for recently but even still as Local I was never really stressed. So I guess that only leaves only Global and Admin and as I'm typing this I realized I'm kind of mixing the 2 questions so uh to try and answer the first question as a Local I was super carefree as a Global I honestly at points I stressed myself out by embarrassing myself in front of the team and I honestly was way harder on myself than anyone else was and as an Admin for the most part I'm somewhere between the stress levels of Local and Global for most of it I mean there's been some things that have stressed me a bit decision wise and preparing for worst case but I've also kept what Ian told me in mind to not let it stress me out so I've kept that in mind and stuck to it as much as I can. In terms of a year that was most stressful I would say probably 2017 or 2018? Where I just didn't like the site as much due to things happening on it even if I was no where near staff rank at the time. In terms of actually being on staff I would say 2020 was the most stressful as when I got Global I was really inexperienced still and probably not fully ready.

What’s your favorite fruit, if you enjoy fruits I don’t know? People hate being healthy, few hate the sweetness of fruits, others are just veggie people like okay?

becerra95 : I love fruit vegetables are the food I hate the only veggie I actually like are potatoes. When it comes to fruit I guess currently I'm in the mood for some strawberries so I'll say that is my current favorite since anytime I eat Bananas I feel sick to my stomach anymore which sucks cause I love Bananas.

SonicOlmstead : Is Ohio your favorite state in the union? Or is there another state you think would be a more ideal place to leave? Different countries you have interest in would also be interesting to hear.

skippercapt : Ohio is my favorite state without a doubt I know most people that live in Ohio hate the state but I've never really had much issue with the state. To be fair the only other state I've ever been to is Pennsylvania which was beautiful Ohio felt completely flat in comparison which was fun but with Ohio between my diabetic camp and THE Ohio State Buckeyes it would just be weird to live somewhere else. I don't know where I would live to make this more possible but I do have some interest in living close to Canada because I'm told it's cold there and because insulin prices are way cheaper but I'm not sure if I would wanna live in Canada or just close to the border.

SonicOlmstead : I see, that's some interesting insight! I was just in pennsylvania the other day and I gott say, what a beautiful state. It has this iconic classic america feel to the landscape and the cities, love it. I'm glad to see you happy with where you live, it's always good when you know the place you are at feels like home. I lived in Miami all my life until recently I moved to Tennesee. I definitely feel more at home here than the stressful Miami life, once you become an adult you can't do a damn thing there unless you're wealthy. Living paycheck to paycheck and in some cramped run down apartment in the hood wasn't for me, so I'm in knoxville now and loving it. I'm still gonna visit the beaches sometimes along the coast in florida tho. I'd like to try living in a northern state too in order to experience what it's like in a place with polar oposite weather of miami

SonicOlmstead : Another one, what is your favorite game or video game series?

skippercapt : So for the short answer Persona 5 Royal and the Persona series for the long answer....
For the longest time I couldn't decide what my favorite game was and I had about five different games that it could be but I could never pick one those being Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3, Mario Kart Double Dash, Sonic Heroes, Super Mario 64, and Kingdom Hearts 2 sometimes I'd add another one but for most of my life I was stuck between those games not being able to say for sure I liked any of them more than another. So fast forward to 2018 probably around September I was watching this Mario Kart Wii speedrun of like 200cc so it had mods and the guy had replaced all the songs with different songs and the one song got really stuck in my head and with how lucky I am the song randomly showed up on my youtube recommended within a couple days and that song was Time to Make History from Persona 4 Golden which hearing the song made me kind of curious about Persona but I didn't really look into it or anything I just enjoyed the song until Joker was Revealed for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I was really curious about the series after hearing all the songs in Smash and while I thought Joker was cool I didn't wanna main him because unlike the other characters I didn't have any memories of his game so that summer of 2019 when I was deciding what I wanted to buy for my main game for the summer and Persona 5 was on Ps3 for 15$ even though my only rpg exp was Pokemon I ended up buying it. To say the game stole my heart would be an understatement xD I really connected with a lot of the plot and characters and I just knew instantly it was my favorite game of all time. Though that doesn't cover Royal so uh in Nov 2020 I asked my uncle if I could buy Royal and play it on his PS4 which he said yes so going into it I was nervous that even if it improved it wouldn't be able to match playing the game for the first time but I was really surprised all the added content and slightly changed things made it feel like I was exp it all again instead of just playing a game I've already beat a 2nd time and so the only game that could beat Persona 5 was itself Persona 5 Royal. Not long after me playing 5 I'd say within about a year it took my spot as my favorite game series as I played 3 FES and 4 Golden I still need to play 1 and 2 but I'm not in a rush for that to be honest.

SonicOlmstead : Very interested there man. I first played persona 5 back when the og came out on ps4, I was in love with the game but fell off of it without finishing the game due to personal reasons and not being in the mood to play games in general. I just recently purchased a ps4 pro with Persona 5 Royal and I am loving getting back into the game. As you said this game has the potential to take your heart, and this game is without a doubt one of the best ever made. It's really high up there for me. If I had to choose I favorite game I couldn't choose, but P5 Royal would be super high up there, Along with Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, a childhood favorite that I love to replay every few years, Harvest Moom Magical Melody also on the gamecube, the original Animal Crossing I have tons of amazing memories with as well. Generally my favorites are the ones I have the most nostalgic memories associated with. Team Fortress 2 is also high up there for the same reason, and I have over a thousand hours logged in the game on steam, tons of memories there as well. Ocarina of Time is still amazing today, there's some more but I'd have to go through the inner workings of my brain, or google to remember them.

skippercapt : You know that's the funny thing with Persona 5 I was stuck between these games I had so much nostalgia for and then Persona 5 showed up and blew all that away to the point I can't imagine any game ever topping what Royal was for me like the only thing that can come close is other Persona games.

Alright Artist/Band is easily Crush 40 I love almost all of their songs even when it's not for a sonic game and funny story I even got popular at diabetic camp I go to for a while based on me singing some Crush 40 songs.

When it comes to Genre I'd have to say Rock and give an example I like really energetic tracks like anything from the early 2000s Sonic games.

Song is a interesting one based solely on the fact when I was younger it used to change every couple of years but now it's been the same since 2016! my favorite song is XY&Z the Japanese opening to Pokemon XY&Z which isn't the easiest to find on youtube so I'll even provide a link in case your curious I find this song so energetic and between the memories of it from the show and then my own memories of playing minecraft mini games with a close friend I used to always listen to this song while playing and I always think of amazing moments me and a close friend had hearing it. The only song that has come close to passing it in the past 5 years is Life Will Change from Persona 5 I could see it someday overtaking XY&Z as my favorite song but that day has yet to come. I'll also say my favorite Album is the only album I've ever owned being The Best of Crush 40: Super Sonic Songs

SonicOlmstead : I gotta hand it to you, you have some well though out choices for these. Crush 40 is a solid choice, my favorite genre is Rock as well so I can always vibe with some classic sonic jams. Those are my era, from my generation, so I'll always feel a bond with music from that area. Also very interested to see you've had a favorite song for basically 4 or 5 years. I'd say that's pretty rare, at least from my own perception. It's a really hot song though, and thanks for sharing cause that just got added to my hype playlist! I'll take heed of what you said and ask the next question in this post.

If you are into anime and/or manga, what have you been watching and reading recently? And which are you top series?

skippercapt : I oddly don't watch a lot of anime anymore I mostly just watch the Pokemon anime, though recently I did watch a few anime films for the first time which I thought were really good being A Silent Voice and Your Name. When it comes to manga I do still read Dragon Ball Super every month I just want the anime back so badly. Probably unsurprisingly my all time favorite series is Dragon Ball and between the different animes I like OG Dragon Ball best though that being said Dragon Ball has been my all time favorite series in all of media since I was 3 years old. I'll also give you the 2 non anime films I've ranked a 10 those are Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood which at this point I don't remember much of but I still trust what I thought of it back then even if I don't remember why I think this it's not my favorite anime but looking at it trying to be objective I view it as the best anime I've ever watched. The other anime I've ranked a 10 would be The Disastrous Life of Saiki K which may be a surprise compared to the other animes I've talked about here but it's hilarious to me I adore it.

SonicOlmstead : A silent voice is one of my favorite movies of all time, an easy watch imo yet meaningful enough to care about. Brotherhood is a great show.

One show I'd like to recommend you if you haven't seen it yet is attack on titan, one of the best shows ever made imo. Season 1 seems like a pretty typical shounen anime at first, but in season 2 things change really fast and lemme just say it gets better every season. You should be able to tell if you are interested by episode 2.

An absolute must watch classic is death note, if you havent seen it yet and are into slower paced or crime drama, give it a shot. It's better than im making it sound.

Also check out FLCL a.k.a. Fooly Cooly. It's a 6 episode series with a cult following for good reason, the show is insane, hilarious, and awesome. It's short, but sweet so i always recommend to someone looking to get into anime that isn't bothered by insanity lol.

With the theme of the week being remake media, what would you say is your most favourite remake/reboot attempt? How about your least favourite?

Note- Stuff like HD trilogy type rereleases and other things that don't stray at all from their original release are cheating and don't count, lmao.

skippercapt : I completely missed the fact you asked a question at the end of your post so sorry about that for holiday I would say either Halloween or Christmas I lean towards Halloween since it's the day I was supposed to be born on and it's closer but now that I'm too old for trick or treating it's kind of boring because I don't really like scary things tbh. xD Time of year is definitely winter nothing better than the icy cold snow because it's the one time of year where I sometimes feel cold though that being said it's been 30 degrees all week and I've not been cold enough for pants instead of shorts so it's not cold enough for me yet.

Allysa8th : This is a tough one since even with you noting the things that don't count I still have to think like how would you classify something like Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix or Persona 5 Royal? I mean yeah it's pretty much the same game with added content but maybe because it's early and I've not slept well in weeks but I can't think of what to consider it tbh but for the sake of argument I'll say those also don't count. After looking through the list of games I've beat I've really not beaten many remakes the only ones that I can even think of considering are Pokemon games so my favorite Pokemon remake is definitely Omega Ruby it's weird to say because after playing Emerald with a friend earlier in the year I can say I prefer Emerald but I put around 400 hours into Omega Ruby as it was my 2nd Pokemon game, but it's still weird cause I don't really have the experience of playing a game when I was young and then later getting to play the remake I hope that changes someday hey Sonic Team do me a favor and remake Heroes. xD Least favorite is easy it's without a doubt Super Mario 64 DS this game is the closest to the situation I described of playing a game when I was younger than playing the remake but with that I didn't play 64 till 2012 and then DS for the first time till like 2014 so I don't really have the experience of waiting for a game to be remade, but to get on topic on why it's my least favorite remake I've played... I just don't think it feels right control wise in 64 if I wanted to stop on a dime to do side flip I always knew that I was in control but in DS trying to do that without falling off the map in tight spaces is a coin flip. My other issue is the added content just isn't that fun to me like Yoshi and Luigi can be fun but Wario just sucks, and the added stars don't really add much to the game though I do enjoy a few of the added levels.

becerra95 : She's a newer member of the site who has been extremely helpful on the team and when she applied for Global after Boured's position became available it was decided she was the best for the job and she's done extremely well so far. Shockingly at least to me is that you're not the first person to ask this I've seen this said a few times and I'm always surprised because it's been years since the female Global color has been seen on the site so I thought people would notice instantly but she was promoted to Global in early October so I guess it took a while to notice.

I'm trying to think if I've ever been in a full fist fight out of anger I've had a ufc fight with a friend before but with that it's like we were trying to win cause it was a competition and we did it on a trampoline so getting knocked down didn't hurt and we weren't trying to actively hurt each other so I don't really count it. I'm not sure I should really get into the full details but when I was 6 years old I once was felt my life was threatened enough to run into the kitchen and grab a knife because I didn't plan on going down without a fight but that's the only time that's coming to mind where I would of actually fought someone that I can think of.
