First of all I would like to thank the site staff for making a page for this game so I could do a review for it(and so that the collection would be complete), this summer I plan on doing a full playing of it so I can add it for a video submission in the future (if it will ever be counted as an action in the TDV ever again. So yeah this is the last Cluefinders game ever made
Gameplay and Story: The game starts off with the Cluefinders getting an urgent call for help from Joni's uncle (because there might as well be a callback in the last game ever) but it turns out to be a trap set by 4 big bads from previous games (3rd grade, 4th grade, 6th grade and Incredible Toy Store) but come on, when you think about it only Limburger and Pericles have a real right to have revenge on the Cluefinders because Loveless was thwarted by the dude he was trying to summon, and Ms Rose was actually grateful to the Cluefinders for their help, why didn't she ask them for help again? oh actually the baddies were actually brought together by a mastermind in the shadows (who could it possibly be? The apprentice from Math Adventures? the Monroe siblings from Search and Solve adventures? the aliens from 5th grade adventures, the nasty thing from Reading adven- oh wait she's still trapped inside that medallion..it actually turned out to be someone that we never saw the Cluefinders ever faced before, BUT anyone who has ever played an Educational game has, and I won't dare spoil who it is) Basically the kids are trapped in their own individual escape room that is in an arcade format, like for example Santiago is trapped in a pinball type game and you have to move him around and collect items in order to help Joni who is trapped in a labyrinth yeah that's where she is and it's full of the nasty creatures they encountered in 6th grade adventures. Owen is trapped in a skateboard obstacle course that looks like a pizza (why didn't he just eat the course instead? that would save some time) and Leslie is trapped in the only place you could trap her...a library! And she has to dodge gargoyles. I like the concept here so I'll give it a ten
Graphics: They are the same as the average Cluefinders game I'll give it a 6 out of ten
Sound: Well I haven't played the game enough to establish how good the sound is, I'll give it a 5 out of 10
Addictive: Well it definitely kept me coming back, it gets an easy 10
Depth: Well this game is not in the traditional cluefinders format (three act structure) in this one you have to choose an activity to do and there are four of them. I'll give it a 9
Difficulty: Well let's be honest this game is probably the least educational game in the franchise. And well I'll give this a 2 because it wasn't that hard
Post review Follow-up: Well this was the last Cluefinders game ever made at least they went out with some sort of Bang, and a twist to end all twist endings, I actually own two copies of the game because this was part of the final cluefinders re-release in the early 2000s after that the learning company remastered all the grade based Reader Rabbit games and made games based on properties they don't own (ie, Batman, Powerpuff Girls, Scooby Doo, even the Rescue Heroes of all things), it's just a shame that they opted not to make games centered in Junior High or High School. So why do I have two copies? because all the re-released cluefinders games came with a copy of MMA.
This concludes my review, tomorrow is Sunday which means I will do the last of my Summer Gaming MAME-ories I will do Superman for MAME. And it's a good thing I pre-wrote my review because I don't know how I'll feel tomorrow since today is the day I get my second COVID shot, and then in two weeks I'll finally be protected from this damn thing.
