What's up, guys! I'm quite concerned on the longevity of joining this community, but I've been looking for some retro-gaming communities to delve into. The activity levels seem a bit low, but I'm excited to see what the site has to offer!

I've been collecting retro consoles for a little bit, but the economy on them seems a bit rough at the moment!

I'm 22 years old and have been collecting retro consoles since my dad introduced me to them when I was about four years old!

Looking forward to see what kind of other people and possibly like minded individuals there are around here!

As you've said and what Sonic mentioned above, the activity levels on here aren't exactly at its peak right now here, however don't let that deter you. There are still a lot of people here that are more than willing to communicate in here and help get some discussions going, including said people in this thread right now. Feel free to post in the forums and take a look at the RGR if you're interested in playing some games from the past that you might not have right now and/or would be interested in adding to your collection in the future. Feel free to ask if you have any questions and hope to see you active here in the very near future.

I don't think you need to be quite concerned with the longevity of this community - in my almost-twelve years of experience here, there will always be a few people who keep the site going, even if it's nowhere near its hayday. Of course it's no ResetERA or anything but I also like to think the experience here is at least ten times better compared to over there. More of a family-ish feeling I think.

Regardless, hope you have a good time here. I'm sure you'll meet plenty of people with similar interests - even the owner of the site himself is a huge collector. You should see if you can share your collections with him, lmao

Wow. A collector! I've never "collected" game consoles, myself... I just happened to own at least one of every console that has ever been released (Except for the recent Xbox One and Playstation 5), so you sure as heck can call me a gamer, that's for sure!

Nevertheless, you are welcomed with open arms, regardless of your hobbies! Though meeting a collector is always nice.
