I just played this game and for some reason I found myself wondering if I had been ripped off for years...or so I thought. Forgive me if I reference the SMS game several times.

Gameplay and Story: It's the same as the SMS game except it's a coin-op and there's an additional character to play (the same girl abducted in Shinobi world?).

Graphics: It feels like they are showing stuff that the SMS game was missing, in the monster level it actually does look like I'm in the body of a monster, it looks like there is something actually being digested, and in most rounds we actually get a good look at what we are really up against.

Soundtrack: It's the same as the SMS but it switched up the songs in level 2 and 3 and as a result it did the same in level 6 and 7, oh and he definitely screams differently in this game. It's a little less annoying.

Addictive: it's not as addictive as the SMS version.

Depth: You see stuff here that you don't see in the SMS game, like for example the swimming level actually starts off on a dock. The whole thing isn't even laid out the same way.

Difficulty: It's actually harder than the SMS game. As this time you have lives to potentially lose, and you don't have a life level here, I can't really imagine anyone having the patience to keep playing, oh btw you don't keep the smoke stuff you gain you lose it after awhile, and you will lose it the second you scream.

Overall: A part of me wants to say that I want a new version of this game with these graphics but we keep the Master Systems Time Bar and keeping the enhancements for a longer period of time.

Although I couldn't finish this game I'll give it a good score anyway because I like seeing what's different.
