I didn't quite get to finish this game yet, but I think three paths probably wasn't necessary. More specifically because you go through the same early Disney worlds several times. The only real interest that ends up leaving me with, is in the very well done command system. Combining commands is very fun. But by the time I get all the cool stuff, I'm already about to beat the game again, it feels pointless.

While I can see what they were trying to go for with it, I didn't really enjoy it that much although later on down the line I ended up getting kind of addicted to making and maxing out as many commands as I could in each path. Kind of addicting. XD

I liked Birth by Sleep, but the three paths took too long to integrate, and as a result, it stands as one of my least favorite KH games (Dream Drop Distance is the only one I definitely have below it).

Part of it is that the main gimmick is seeing the story from three different sides. That's all well and good if you do it well. They didn't.

it didn't bother me much personally, considering that the game isn't very long. i think it's better this way: it is the same story but from different perspectives, and yet the game can be finished in 8-10 hours i think, max 15 hours. I finished all 3 paths but never unlocked the final episode, instead i watched it on youtube hehe.
The command system was nice, as well! the way you could battle in this game is flexible.
