Every year for the last few years I went to watch the big Macy's Fireworks celebration. I never watched from a rooftop, or a bridge, or a park. I always went up close to the action right alongside the east river to see thd fireworks. This year was even better because I got a ticket to be at the actual taping for NBC's fireworks display.

I was there for about 3 hours with live music, and tons of free food and drinks. There was a burger and hot dog station, a buffet, and a crazy bar with all kinds of drinks. Yes I got drunk for the 1st time ever at the party. When it was time for the fireworks, it was crazy. Each time I go, I'm always in shock because they're always so loud and big when you're watching from a few blocks away.

But this time I was literally right under them and about 4 stories off the ground, so they were even louder and brighter. Here's a quick video along with a couple photos.
