Sonic 3 & Rainbow Dash

A Bronies work.
If you fit the description of your common 'brony' you're in for a treat. Sonic 3 with Rainbow Dash is exactly what it sounds like, a Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (and Knuckles) hack with Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony thrown in there.
If you know anything about bronies you'll know that they put pony's into almost anything you can think of, from Final Fantasy to, well, Sonic the Hedgehog.
Although in reality Rainbow Dash is just a re skin of Tails, thus she controls exactly the same as he does. Oh, and her Super form is her flashing with cupcakes circling around her instead of flickies, Yeeaaah...
Overall if you're a bronie you'll probably enjoy this hack.

Sonic 2 - Robotnik\'s Revenge

Boss Run!
Get ready for a boss run everyone, because Robotnik's revenge is exactly that. This hack includes all the boss battles from not only Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but also it's predecessor, Sonic the Hedgehog as well!
The game controls just like Sonic 2, with the option to play as sonic or tails. As you progress the games order of bosses will be a sonic 2 boss, then a sonic 1 boss. It's set in the Death Egg, with various texture and level alterations to fit the style of the Death Egg as well as the mechanics of the boss fights.
There are also two modes:
Time Attack: a mode in which your goal is to get the shortest amount of time. For every boss you defeat you get three rings.
Survival: Essentially the same as time attack, except you don't have any rings, providing an extra challenge.
I recommend this game to anyone who wants a challenge.

Sonic - Return to the Origin

Backwards.
It's a simple hack, all it has to offer is that it's Sonic the Hedgehog with reversed levels, not in reversed order of zones. You make your way from the finish to the start. It's a mildly interesting hack, but not something I'd play again.
It doesn't provide much in the means of challenge, although some levels are rendered unplayable, so I wouldn't recommend spending your vizzed on it.
