Vizzed Activity was alive, although it was brief. While a long life is preferred, we measure lives by the quality with which those lives were led.

While a sustained bout of activity lasting two or three days would have been preferable, Vizzed Activity died at the tender age of two hours.

Born at roughly 11:25 server time, and dying at roughly 1:33 AM the next morning, Vizzed Activity had many friends, lovers, and children, all of whom have been asked to attend today's open casket funeral.

While we hope Vizzed Activity will prank us, like it is prone to do, and jump out, and say "Gotcha", we also recognize that what was may never be again.

So farewell, Vizzed Activity, for now, anyways. May our next meeting be more prolonged, and fun.

Vizzed was an inside job

Oh... I... I don't know what to say, except it was gone so SOON! It was just a boy! So much great potential, all snuffed out, after 2 hours of life.. it didn't even get to see what it's parents and ancestors were like at their peak! It had the potential to be even GREATER than those that came before it... but now it's gone.

I was going to do a post spree today anyway, but this thread has motivated me even further to do so. Especially after reading all the posts in "that thread".

Barathemos : Nighttime is likely the only time users have for posting anymore actually.

There's only so much I can do myself! Now get back to not talking.

Pacman+Mariofan : I actually think spreeing is counter productive. You post 50+ times and then run out of stuff to talk about...

It would be better if more people posted 5-10 times a day regularly instead.

I would agree. It's great to have a person like you or I spree for 25-50 posts, because it brings a sudden jolt of life back to things. But that's all it is, a sudden jolt.

It's like a defibrillator. It can bring you back from the brink, but you need someone with actual skills to sustain the life for very long.

Hopefully, from this sudden jolt, comes 2 or 3 people who will do that, and post 5-10 times a day for a month. It would go a long way towards helping the struggling activity.

geeogree : You have a point there. The only reason my post sprees prove effective is that I create new threads during them, which other users and I reply to for days or even weeks until they fall inactive.

I've actually been doing both for the past month most of the time: post sprees and taking a break by making a couple posts each day. It's caused my post count to add up quickly. Plus, my sprees aren't giant amounts of posts like they used to be, they're nowadays usually 30 or less since I don't have time for "50+ sprees" every week.

And finally, I've been hoping that my sprees will catch on and encourage other users to post like that regardless of whether or not they get a rectangle of color around their name.

Barathemos : Pretty much. If I tried being active this year, I would have done sprees of 10 posts almost every time, due to lack of time.

legacyme3 : Like I began saying to geeo in this post, the last part of your post has been my point. It's harder to post this much in non-TdV months, but I want my drive to post to catch on with other users. Only one user doing so doesn't benefit activity much, but if 10 users are actively posting each day throughout the month, that leaves an impact on activity levels.

Meh, I try to post at least 3 times a day, I suppose I could try and post around 5-10 times a day.

I feel like this thread is stupidly unnecessary. This is what we need for Vizzed Activity. We can bring it back, with the love of God...And the love of hugs. No group hugs, just 1v1 hugs. Also, did I mention that this thread is weird? Haven't read replies yet. I love you all~
