I don't really have a favorite Ice-type per se, but I really like Abomasnow/Mega Abomasnow, Mammoswine, Cloyster, Glalie/Mega Glalie, Beartic, and Walrein. But if I had to pick one Favorite, I'd have to pick... ...maybe either Cloyster or Mammoswine.

My favorite Ice type is Glalie (why would I ever like a thing that beats me every time on Showdown, looking at you Furret). It's Mamoswine. I like its design a lot and suits perfectly for an Ice type. Its movepool and stats are very good too. Thick Fat works really well for Mamoswine (bye bye Fire types). I really like Ice types in general, many of them are nice looking but also very powerful.

Ooh, ooh!

Weevile. Dark/ Ice, and it can learn Thief! (If I recall correctly, that is...)

Sometimes I wish I was a Weevile. A free one, not one in a Pokeball, though.

I would probably have to say Glaceon, it's spectacular special attack makes it the perfect Dragon Killer. Glalie would be a close second, its balanced stats of 80 make it a good overall Pokemon.

Out of the ones I haven't yet used or faced, Vanilluxe also seems a good choice, with some stats better than Glaceon but some clearly worse. I definitely have to give this one a try if I have the chance, even though Glaceon seems more battle-oriented.

My favorite ice types are Glaceon, Seel, and Mammoswine! I always liked Glaceon's design. It's so pretty! And I've always liked Mammoths and Seals so...Naturally they would be my second and third.

Glalie and Mega Glalie, hands down.
Very underrated and forgotten mega evolution. Refrigerate double edge / return / and the almighty explosion hurts like crazy and can practically OHKO anything except for some tanks like Cloyster and Aggron who resist it. At least 90% of the metagame dies instantly.

It also gets access to Ice Shard and moves like Earthquake, Freeze - Dry, Crunch, Super Fang and Iron Head.
Not to mention the shiny version looks so much cooler than the original.

My favourite to use ice type attacks is Starmie. I know it's not a ice type but i like the variety of the attacks it can use. you can teach it water, ice, psychic and even electric attacks. That's why I like to have it in the harder battles, it's equipped for every opponend.

My favorite ice type pokemon would have to be Cloyster. I definitely think it is underrated because if you use it correctly and teach it the right moves, it becomes an absolute monster to deal with. Its defense is already through the roof, so a little special defense investment is all that's needed to make it even more tanky.

My favorite legendary ice type pokemon however, is Kyurem. I really like Kyurem's design as well as the fact that it can split into two other possible forms. Overall, it is incredibly powerful and it has a great stat distribution and movepool.

Dewgong will always be my favorite ice Pokemon. Its also the first Pokemon that I got to level 100. I remember way back when I was playing Gold/Silver, I found out the only way to beat Lance was to ice beam the crap out of his dragons. I tried looking for an ice type and the first place I went to was the Ice Cave (duh). Once Seel evolved into Dewgong and learned ice beam, the rest is just history.

Wow everyone has different tastes and all due to their preferences! Although we named a good few Ice Type Pokemon I don't think we've even scratched the surface yet! Can anyone name an Ice Type pokemon that wasn't already said? It doesn't have to be your favorite but I'm just wondering how many ice types there are that are known!

Sneasel is my favourite ice type. It used to be Lapras (gorgeous pokemon and good fun in the anime), but I used a Sneasel in my play through of Pokemon Crystal and fell in love with it after it took down Lance's Dragonites single-handed with good old ice punch. Dark type was also great against the psychic trainer in the Johto elite 4 (I can't remember his name).

Vanilish actually is one of my favorites, dunno why but I just love the little guy. Though my overall favorite is a tie between Dewgong. Seriously, Dewgong is so adorable!

Unpopular opinion here: Jynx. Jynx is my favourite Ice-type. It's not the strongest of the bunch, but I guess I just have nostalgic feelings towards a lot of generation 1 Pokemon, and Jynx is the Ice-type I went most with in the early generations.

I would have to say either Vanilluxe or Walrein. I think I would go with Vanilluxe. I used these two Pokémon in Pokémon Light Platinum and Pokémon White, respectively. They are both great Pokémon, but Vanilluxe's design takes the cake for me. I mean, who doesn't like ice cream?

I'd definitely have to say that Mamoswine is my favorite Ice type because not only does it have super high attack, but it can also learn Ice Shard, which even though that move has low power, Mamoswine's attack is high enough to make that move be able to one hit KO pokemon like Garchomp. It's the perfect dragon slaying Pokemon for that reason.
