So, I went to Best Buy yesterday after I got off of work intending to spend no more than $700 US including tax on a new laptop. I preferred an i7, but I was willing to accept an i5. I also wanted 8GB of RAM so I could play games on it. I also wanted a nice chunk of internal memory. 

Well, I was going to settle for an i5 with 6GB of RAM and 500GB or Hard drive memory for $600, but the associate that was helping me went to go check the open box section... 

He found me a new Dell that was a display laptop but was never touched or looked it. It's an i7 with 8GB of RAM and 1 TB of memory. It is normally $889? Or $829. One of those. I got it for $612 plus tax. 

I went ahead and bough a cooling fan to put under it for $40, and a new mouse for $15. I spent just around $710 on a new laptop and stuff for it. I think I got a heck of a deal.

Congrats, I'm jealous. XD Do hope the fact that it's a Dell doesn't come back to bite you, just from my own experience. PC's have been fine, but every Dell laptop I've had over the years has been gremlin-infested upon buying (new, mind you)  and turned out to be lemons. 

I sincerely hope this isn't the case for you. I hope your experience COMPLETELY contradicts mine and that you are able to play all the games you could ever want on it. Because really, you did get a good deal there, and I want it to be worth it for you.

That is a good deal for a laptop. Usually that much processing and Ram power will cost you a lot when jammed into something small like a laptop. Congrats... what games are you playing?

And the reason it was so cheap is because it was a display laptop that wasn't even getting looked at, so they boxed it up. XD
