Well, I just got around to cleaning up the inactive post layout shops, and found that we have 3 open slots. Any trusted+ member is welcome to apply! To apply, simply post here stating that you wish to apply with at least 3 examples of your work either linked or shown in your post via photo. We need to have easy access to at least 3 examples of your work. Remember, the layouts you show us will be what we use to make our decision regarding who gets the shops. Posting here with a layout that YOU have made will count as one of your samples, unless you give at least 3 more in your post.

In addition, we have 3 openings for profile layout shops. Please share at least 3 links to profiles containing your coding, or PM me at least 3 samples of your work (send the coding over, 1 code per pm). These are SEPARATE from post layout shops, meaning that you don't have to have a post layout shop if you have a profile layout shop (nor do you have to have a profile layout shop if you have a post layout shop). Apply now!

Failure to give samples in a way specified will result in your application being ignored until such time as you give samples.

Well, I would like to apply.

I'm pretty well versed in html and I know some css coding. I know how to make fiery text shadow, regular text shadow, Layouts with audio, Scrolling text box layouts, and Stretching text box layouts. And I am currently learning how to make round text box corners, and a few other things.

Here are my 5 most recent layouts.

It was also my first try at a text box inside a text box for a double border.

This layout shows that I know how to do flaming text shadow.

Well, I thought I would apply for this and stuff. I'm getting pretty good at profile coding, but I haven't figured out how to color things like the profile comments. I can do cursors, text, links, audio, and the like though.

And, That's pretty much the end of the app. I'm on pretty much every day for about 6 or 7 hours a day, And I'm not too busy so I can get the layouts to the people pretty fast.

EDIT: I know, I hate editing apps.. It looks so unprofessional.. ugh, But I forgot to mention I know how to make extended layout backgrounds for post layouts.

Yes, I did show interest last time and I am still rather interested, however I refuse to change my layout as an example this time so I would probably just have to send you some examples even though I do believe I happened to give one or two last time, but are you even sure I would be all that fitted for this? I mean I'm not even all that good with coding and layouts to begin with after all. On the other hand you know I could really use the Viz due to my deal with Zanderlex and all of that so I might have to jump right on this. Well, what do you think about this Mrfe? Think I should personally go for it or what? I mean you're the one in charge of this thing after all, that has to count for a lot more than meets the eye.

Frodlex : I think you could do well, provided you keep up with it. You have the potential to do great, it'll more be whether you invest the time and such to actually reach your potential.

Show off your samples! It can't hurt, right?

mrfe : Actually, there is a bit of harm actually, and a point of uselessness. First off, I don't really like using layouts, especially now that if you equip a new layout all your previous ones disappear, yet I still have my old ones because I have not changed my layout at all yet. It would be deleting my history on the board, just don't feel comfortable doing that and this here isn't worth it.

I have no other means of sharing but to send it to you, perhaps you can set it here for public display. However there is a problem there, layouts change everywhere now, so it creates more problems in the long run and I am just not going to do that, so I won't really do it that way at all.

Oooh, I've been wanting to open a layout shop for awhile! I always use basically the same coding, so I hope you accept. There are a couple works of mine that use completely different coding, but I accidentally broke most of them while playing around with the coding...

Anyways, here's 5 examples. Note that the signatures DO WORK, just not in the layout shop or on profiles. And I'm too lazy to post with each layout to prove that the signatures work >

I know, not much of an application, but I didn't have much to say.

I've changed to a less stupid-looking layout style. These examples are a lot better. There's my current one, the Xemnas layout that uses a better textbox and negative margins, and there's also an Axel layout which can be found here.

In the post right after yours TheFadedWarrior uses Fadeface's Stinky Layout and then 2 posts later switches to the Nothingness is eternal.. layout.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying but "Stinky" didn't disappear when Faded switched to "Nothingness".

thephantombrain : Honestly I'm confused now too, Eirinn told me that if I were to change my layout all my previous posts would be changed to my current one, however this doesn't seem to be the case at all and I'm incredibly confused now, it just doesn't make any sense anymore and it just doesn't seem to be how it actually works. I'll have to share some sooner now I guess, shouldn't be too hard I guess. But yeah, this has had me thinking a little myself. Almost forgot about this thread though, thank you for the summon.

There is an option to set layouts to auto-updating, which is probably what Eirinn was referring to. You can choose to have them set to not auto-update though.
