Final Fantasy 2 for the SNES is a great game. Unfortunately, this is the easier version but either way it is still a great game. So to keep this short and sweet, I've colored coded this guide to help make it easier to read. I've titled each part with just an enlarged bold standard color. Main bosses are indicated with an orange color and are enlarged and bolded as well. Recommended purchases will be indicated by a light blue color. The red color will indicate main points. Green will indicate the items that you can collect. Yellow will indicate extras. I also took the liberty of labeling specific weapons, armors, accessories etc. For example: Ninja is a multi-use word that is a Shuriken, Helmet, Armor etc. So if you were to find a "Ninja" in a chest, I label it like...

Ninja (Helmet)

If the chest has monsters in it, I will label it like...

Ninja Helmet (Monsters)

I won't label all the weapons and armor. Some of them are self explanatory like Tiara goes on the head; Headband goes on the head. Similar items will be distinguished in case you have missed an item that way you know to go back and keep searching. Also, items are listed in the order I found them in except if there are multiple of the same items, I just listed those together like 3xCure1 for example.

Baron Castle
The king strips you from the right of commanding The Red Wings, so you will need to head into the room below from where you can start moving yourself. To the left is the path to your room, to the right is the path to another tower (take note that there's also treasure in there. There are some items to the immediate right that if you press the action button on the wall with the little switch should open and you can grab treasure. Afterwards, you must walk to your room, which is located at the top of the top left tower of the castle.

Items: Cure1, Tent, 300GP

Baron Town
Once you wake up, you're sent off on a grand adventure (determined the previous day). I suggest you visit Baron Town. Search the pots inside and outside the buildings, inside the inn there is a wall opening (like inside the Castle), in the building behind the INN there are items in the pot and inside the bookshelf, if you go into the water, there are 2 items in the water and lastly, if you go to the back where there is an opening to leave the town, there is a path hidden in the trees that takes you to the grassy area where more items can be found. This will be the example for the rest of the game of all the locations where you can find potential items. Pots, hidden in grass, bookshelf looking object etc.

Items: 3xCure1, 4xTent, 3xHeal, Ether1, Life

Chocobo Forest
Now you must make your way to the cave in the west. You can do that by walking or taking the Chocobo hidden in the forest to the southwest. If you do go to the Chocobo Forest, there is an item there. That item is used to summon the Big Chocobo so that you may store any of your extra items with him (you won't need this right now). There are 4 total Chocobo Forests and at least 1 carrot in each of them.

Item: Carrot

Misty Cave
Just collect your treasures and head to the top right. You will engage in a boss fight with the mist monster. This is the standard for the rest of the game. It doesn't really challenge you to find items later but it might have you walking back and forth at times.

Items: 2xCure1, Heal, Tent

Boss Fight: Dragon Mist

First boss fight. The best way to defeat this boss is to attack the Dragon when it's in a physical form. If you attack it when it turns to mist, your attack will miss and there will be a counter attack that does considerable damage.

After the battle, continue making your way to the Mist Village. Follow along with what happens until you find yourself separated from Kain. Afterwards, you must take yourself to the next town just northeast of your position.

Kaipo
As soon as you enter, you will be taken tot he INN. While you're sleeping Baron will have sent men to kill the girl that's with you. If you kill 2 of them and attack the officer, you will earn extra exp. Rydia joins you. Continue to search for items. If you go to the top right building, you'll find Rosa in a bed and has become ill. After you're done in Kaipo, you will want to head Northeast into the next cave to get to Damcyan.

Item: Ether1

Recommend you purchase Shortbow and 30 or more Iron for Rydia (Her physical attack is useless either way at this stage)

Watery Pass
Try to collect all the items you can because you may need them later. Also recommend you keep Rydia alive so that she can build up some much needed health. Tellah will join your group here in the cave. Don't bother trying to level him up, his experience is way past this point in the game and his MP won't increase. Use Tellah's Cure2 to heal Cecil and Tellah when their health is low and use Rydia's Cure 1 to heal herself (This way you get the best out of your magic).

**There is also a secret passage hidden in the waterfall of the first room. Make sure to check it out.**

Items: 4xCure1, 2xHeal, Tent, 120GP, IronRing, Elixir, Cure2, 1000GP, 3xEther1, Icerod, 200GP, Leather (Helmet), Darkness (Sword)

Watery Pass Part 2
Items: Darkness (Helmet), Darkness (Accessory), Darkness (Armor), Ether1

Boss Fight: Octomamm
I recommend you have Rydia and Tellah use Lit1 while Cecil attacks. You shouldn't need to heal if you attack fast. Once you defeated the boss, head North to Damcyan Castle.

Damcyan Castle
You will need to head to the top of the tower to find Anna and Edward (The Bard). Edward joins the group. Afterwards, you will be given a hovercraft that you can use to hover over the shallows. You will want to go north with your hovercraft to get to the next cave.

Items: Tent, Crossbow, Leather (Helmet), RubyRing, 2xCure1, 300GP, 200GP, Ether1, Life**, 20xWhite (Arrows), 10xIron (arrows)

Antlion Lair
When you arrive, you will want to perform your usual duties of claiming treasure, make Edward stronger and follow through to the boss. Edward has this special ability to hide when he's low on health, so he won't be much use if he is always hiding. Use Rydia to heal and when you arrive at the save point, use a tent to restore health and MP.

Items: 3xCure1, 190GP, 2xTent, 210GP, Charm (Harp), 2xLife, 250GP, Heal, Ether1

Boss Fight: Antlion
Every time you attack with a physical aattack (Sword, Harp, Crossbow, etc.) the Antlion will counter attack. Try to have Rydia use magic or Chocobo (works well here) while Cecil attacks. You can have Edward attack or hide because he's useless for the most part. You should be strong enough to deal with the Antlion without needing to heal. Afterwards, head back to Kaipo by use of hovercraft and heal Rosa.

Kaipo
Once you're back here, you will need to go use the Sandruby on Rosa. Afterwards, Edward engages in an easy fight. Take this time to gear up on anything you need for your journey and sell items you might not want or won't use again. Once done here use the hovercraft to take you Northeast of the Antlion's lair.

Mt. Hobs
Not much to say about this. Collect treasures and continue until you meet up with Yang where together you will fight a boss. Yang joins the group.

Items: Tent, Cure1, Heal, 350GP

Boss Fight: Mom Bomb
At first you will fight 1 foe. If you are strong enough, you might defeat this foe before she explodes and creates more. When she does explode, she'll take off a chunk of health (Around 50 on each). You'll then fight 6 bombs. Try to kill them off as quickly as possible, otherwise they might explode. Head East to Fabul.

Fabul Castle
You will need to talk to the King of Fabul so make sure to buy your weapons before you go to see him. You can also check out the towers for items. After talking with the king you will engage in a series of fights up until you lose Rosa. You may want to take her equipment off of her.

Collect any items you still need to get (look to the right in the throne room for hidden door). Afterwards, make your way to the INN. Afterwards, you can talk to the King. He gives you a sword and a ship. During your ride on the ship, you will lose Edward, Rydia and Yang so unequip their stuff so you can sell it.

Items: 500GP, 2xTent, 4xCure1, Heal, Black (Shield), Ether1

Recommend you purchase the Black gear (Helmet, Armor, Accessory) and maybe one of Yang's weapons you like

Mysidia
After you get onto the ship, it runs into Leviathan and you end up on the shores of Mysidia by yourself. When you arrive, head to the elder and talk with him. You will be partnered with Palom and Porom. You might want to buy them some better gear.

Recommend you purchase Gaea (Armor and Helmet) and Silver, plus I'd buy the FlameRod and Cure (staff) as well. You might also want to buy your Paladin gear ahead of time as well, you will need this soon

Mt. Ordeals
Your objective here is to climb to the top and collect items. Once at the top you will engage in a boss fight with the Earth Fiend.

Items: 2xCure1, 2xEther1

Boss Fight 1: Milon
I recommend you use the twin combo to kill the zombies and use fire magic on Milon. After this battle heal up and switch the formation. You'll be attacked from the back.

Boss fight 2: Milon Z
Use twin magic and fire to defeat this guy. He will poison you but if you can use the Twin magic twice, you'll beat him quick. After this fight, you may want to take off all the equipment you had on Cecil that way you can sell it for GP. Go into the door to find yourself in some sort of crystal shrine. You will become a Paladin and engage your former Dark self.

Boss Fight: Dark Knight
In order to defeat yourself, you must not fight. Only heal yourself and parry. After 2 or 3 attacks he will bestow his remaining light on you.

Chocobo Forest
Afterwards, you should leave Mt. Ordeals and head south to the Chocobo Forest and ride Chocobo back to Mysidia. You need to talk to the Elder back in Mysidia.

Item: Carrot

Mysidia/Baron Town
Once you're back in Mysidia, you should buy any armor that you didn't get to before you left for Mt. Ordeals. After talking with the Elder you need to use the serpent's road to teleport to Baron. When you arrive, visit the INN and talk to Yang in the back room. You'll engage in a little skirmish so you can either obliterate him or attack him until he regains consciousness. After talking with him, he'll give you a key and join up with you. You need to use this key on the weapon/armor shop and the door beneath Cid's house to get inside the Castle. Make sure to grab the treasures sitting by the guys running the counters.

Items: 2000GP, Thunder (Claws for Yang)

Recommend you purchase your Paladin gear in Mysidia. In Baron you should buy Cure (staff) for Tellah and the White Mage (if you hadn't done so in Mysidia), Thunder (Rod) for Black Mage, Silver (accessory) for anyone and buy Karate (armor) and Headband for Yang only.

Old WaterWay
It might be wise to equip thunder elemental items because most enemies are water based. There is a hidden path behind the save point that leads to Ancient Sword. Please note that you're at the end of the Old Waterway and that by going into Baron Castle you can still fully recover in Cecil's room on top of the left tower without need of a tent.

Items: 1000GP, Cure2, 2xEther1, 3xLife, 500GP, Ancient (Sword)

Baron
Your job here is to see the King.

Boss Fight: Baigan

He's pretty easy but if you use spells on him when he uses wall, that can kill some of your party.

Boss fight: Kainazzo

Really easy. Have Tellah use Lit 3 just before he gathers up water and have Palom use Lit 2. Lit 2 will do 2700+ damage.

After you defeat Kainazzo, you will earn yourself an airship. You should go back into Baron to obtain treasures that you couldn't get before. By going into the back right tower, you will encounter the spirit of the real King. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to explore the rest of the world. You will lose Palom and Porom before you can leave Baron, but Cid will join you. When you're ready, you will need to head to Toroia and talk to Edward.

Items: 4xEther1, 3xCure2, 3xLife, 3xTent, 2xCure1, Heal, Elixir

Silveria
You may want to buy some of the silver gear that's found here, but it would be useless against the anti-metal area that is next on places to go. I also advise against it. When you progress past Toroia, you obtain better gear for everyone that exceeds the Silver gear.

Items: Silver (Staff), Silver (Knife), 5000GP

Agart
Monsters outside of this town are powerful.

Item: Cure2

Mist Village
Items: Cloth, RubyRing, Tiara, 100GP, Cure1, Heal

Eblan Castle
To defeat the monsters in the chests in this castle you will need to use Tellah's powerful spells. Use Weak on Ogres while healing Cecil with cures. The reason why you heal Cecil and not the others because he will defend the weak so it's less damage taken and only 1 to heal. Use Fire3/Ice3/Lit3 on the other monster chests. Restore HP/MP after every battle.

Items: 6xCure2, Heal, 2xLife, 2xCabin, x10Mute (Arrows), 2000GP, 4xEther1, Slumber Sword (Strong Monsters), 600GP, Drain Spear (Monsters), 800GP, Elixir (Monsters)

Toroia
It might seem tempting to buy the pass here, but I gotta recommend against it because you get nothing from it, 10,000GP for a pass is too much to spend to watch dancers... I'd recommend you just head onto the Castle.

Items: 1000GP, Ether2, Ether1, Cure2

Toroia Castle
You will need to talk to Edward who is bedridden. Unfortunately for you, the crystal had already been stolen and you must go take it back fro Cave Magnes on an island inaccessible by airship.. To get to that island you will need to find the Black Chocobo Forest in the Northwest area of the forest. You will need to fly a black Chocobo to the island east of your position. Only black Chocobos can get you there. Make sure you buy non metallic weapons and armor for those who rely in those.

Items: 2xRubyRing, 3xEther1, 2xCure2, 2xTent, 3xCarrot (Black Chocobo Forest)

Recommend you purchase enough Leather gear and RubyRings to equip to your whole team. Also Greatbow and Arrows for Cecil

Cave Magnes
Welcome, please leave your shoes and your weapons at the doorway, we want to be respectful to the owner of this cave... sike.. Unfortunately, this cave prevents you from using any stuff that is metallic. Don't worry though, you should be able to handle it because the monsters are pretty weak. Make your way to the end for your next boss fight.

Items: 2xCure2, Heal, 2xEther1, 500GP, Life, Cure3, Ether2

Boss Fight: Dark Elf
At first, there's nothing you can do, the battle is lost before you even attack. When your guys die... Edward's harp will begin to play. This will restore your lost health and magic. Equip your regular metallic weapons/armor and have at em. After you win, take the Crystal and bring it back to the Castle.

Toroia Castle
Go to the room with the 8 women and Kain will call you from his airship. If you leave the room and go back in, the woman in the back right (second to last) will grant you permission to the treasure in the dungeon.

Items: 2xCure2, 2xHeal, 2xEther1, 2xEther2, 2xElixir, 2x1000GP, Greatbow, 20xFire/Lit/Ice

Tower of Zot
This is the only time you can come to this area of the tower and this applies to all the times you arrive in a tower so grab all you can. Some treasures aren't possible to get until later. Climb to the top to rescue Rosa.

Items: Fire (Armor), Fire (Sword), Poison (Claw), Earth (Mallet)

Boss Fight: Delta Squad
Ok in this boss fight each enemy has a specific task. The little one attacks and casts magic on the overweight one. The overweight one will use remedy to revive the others. The tall one will cast wall on the overweight one. I'm not sure if they revive each other when the overweight one is dead.

After the battle you will engage in a fight with Golbez. Tellah dies. Afterwards, you save Kain and Rosa. Isn't that nice? Before you do anything else, make sure you equip Rosa with gear. If you took stuff off Tellah, you can equip that onto Rosa. If you also went to Eblan and obtained Drain (Spear), that will boost make Kain stronger but he will miss his attacks more too. Once you go to leave, you will be attacked.

Boss Fight: Valvalis
Fighting her can suck. What you want to do is have Kain always jump and keep Kain's health up so he doesn't die. When Valvalis is in spin mode, Kain's jump should stop her even if Kain misses. She can turn people to stone and make people weak, so if she lands a weak on kain and hits him, he dies. If she keeps spinning, she's also faster so she'll attack more often and it might keep you from catching up.

After you win, you will escape to Baron. That's where you'll be given the Magma key to the underworld. You should take that to Agart to open the path to the underground.

Agart/Underground
Once you arrive in Agart (This is the town with the somewhat circular mountain range). Take yourself to the well in the middle of this town and drop the key in it. A hole will burst through the mountain range so you should enter it to go underground. Once underground, you find yourself in the midst of a war, Red Wings vs Tanks and your airship goes down. Go into the castle and talk with the king.

Dwarven Castle
You should take Cid's stuff off of him because he's about to leave your party. Once here, you should talk with the King. That's when you find out that the Crystal in the castle is in danger.

Recommend you purchase Wizard (Armor), Wizard (Helmet), Rune (accessory)

Boss Fight: Calbera
Starts off as 6 dolls, once you kill so many dolls it will turn into the big calbera. She's not that powerful and don't worry about healing because it's not really necessary. After this fight you will fight Golbez.

Boss Fight: Golbez
He's not that strong but he does kill most of your party. Rydia saves Cecil. You should revive everyone that you can and have Rydia use Titan and attack a few times, Golbez will die. He will still take the Crystal anyway. Afterwards, search the castle for treasures. Later, prepare to head to the tower located at the north of the underground (Take the tunnel to get here). The King will keep the tower distracted while you sneak in to grab Golbez's crystals.

Items: 1000GP, 2x500GP, Cure2, Bl. Belt, 2xEther1, 2xElixir, Dwarf (Axe), Ether2, 3x Carrot, 3x Cabin

Underground Tower of Zot
Climb your way to the top! Most enemies here are weak to Ice it seems.

Items: 20xIce (Arrows), Ether1, Blizzard Spear (Monsters), Icebrand Sword (Monsters), Catclaw, 2xCure2, 2xLife, Archer (Bow), Ice (Shield), Ice (Armor), 2000GP, Ether2

Boss Fight: Dr. Lugae
The first fight is meaningless, don't bother with this fight really. The second fight, he turns into some skeleton zombie thing... and he poisons you but that's about the extent of his powers really. Just attack him with your best stuff and he should die in 2 turns.

After the battle you will want to head back down to the locked door. When you go in, you will lose Yang, he sacrifices himself so take his stuff off if you want to earn some extra GP. Then you'll need to leave the tower. When you do, you'll fall onto the Enterprise and you'll lose Cid. You'll find yourself back in the overworld where Cid asked you to go to Baron to add a hook on to the Enterprise to carry the hovercraft.

Baron
You will need to talk to one of the crew over on the right side of the castle, they will attach a hook on to your airship. The purpose of this is to take the hovercraft over near Eblan Castle, there's a cave nearby the shallows. You should go inside that cave. If you hadn't done so already.. now should be the time you explore Eblan Castle.

Eblan Cave
Just travel through the cave collecting everything you can. You will come across the Eblan people so buy anything you need. Eventually you'll meet up with Edge and he'll join.

Recommend you purchase Black (Armor), Poison (arrows) if you use Bow

Items: 2xShuriken, 4xCure2, 1200GP, 2xCure1, Ether1, Tent, Cure3, Cabin, 2xElixir, 800GP, 850GP, 2xLife, Drain Sword (Monsters), Ether2

Tower of Babil
Well, you're screwed... Just kidding, go against the wall at the end there and press the action button on the wall and you will go through it. Climb the tower and collect some treasures.

Items: 2xCure3, 2000GP, Middle (Ninja), other item I got but forgot to type?, 82000GP

Boss Fight: Royalty of Eblan
Just damage them... Eventually they'll gain consciousness and wish Edge some good luck.

Boss Fight: Rubicant
You do not need to heal, he will heal you for you. Have Kain jump. Use offensive non-fire based elemental damage and attack and heal your gang. Afterwards, move on into the next room and fall..

Underground Tower
Welcome back! Start descending! When you descend like 2 floors, you will encounter a new airship, Aren't you lucky? Take your airship back to the Dwarven Castle and talk to the King, he will give you the key to the sealed cave. Before you go to the Sealed Cave, you need to talk with Cid napping in one of the rooms. He'll add the ability to fly across the lava to the Falcon airship. I also choose to explore some of the nearby regions.

Items: 2xCure2

Kokkol
Items: Heal, Cure2, Elixir

Tomra
Items: 470GP, 2xCure2, 490GP, Cabin, 480GP

Recommend you purchase Mute (Arrows), Chain

Cave of Summoned Monsters
You will need Float to handle this place, the flashes on the ground will sap 50 health every time you walk over it and easily reduce hundreds of health for each person on your team. Without Float, you will run into a lot of difficulty here. Try it out anyway!

Side note - The back attacks are really annoying...

Items: 3xCure2, 2xLife, Ether1, Cabin, Cure3, Poison (Axe), Ninja (Ninja), Defense (Sword)

Town of Monsters
Collect items. Starting at the entrance.. go down the stairs and head to the right, go to the top most part of that bottom area and it will take you to the area with 4 hidden treasures. If you head down to the 2nd floor of the town, you will find shops.

Items: Ether1, 3000GP, 10xSamurai (arrows), Samurai (Bow), Elixir, Ether2, 2x2000GP, Heal, Life, Rat Tail

Recommend you purchase Aegis (Shield), Sorcerer (Armor), Blitz (Whip/Kinky Right?), Charm (Arrows)

Boss Fight: Asura
This is an optional fight. Fighting the Queen will provide Rydia with something to cure her allies if others are incapable. In this fight, you are required to have wall, otherwise, you will lose. Cast wall on her and she can't heal herself.

Boss Fight: Leviathan
In this battle, it should be pretty easy, just have Rosa heal every turn. Have Edge use his Blitz, Rydia with any lightning spell or summon, Kain and Cecil should attack. Soon enough, you'll win.

Sylph Cave
In this cave, it's kind of a maze, keep track of where you're going. When you reach the bottom, you'll find Yang is there. I will also recommend you bring a lot of heals here, the Molbol love to use breath and sometimes they will change 3 of your team into charmed, silent, toads etc in a single turn. If you go to Yang's wife after talking to the Sylph's she will give you the frying pan, your job is to take that back to Yang. Afterwards, take it back to his wife, she'll be grateful.

Items: 5xCure2, x10 Charm (Arrows), 1000GP, Cabin, Elvinbow, Mute (Dagger). 4xElixir, Catclaw, Poison (Claw), Heal, Charm (Rod), 3xHeal, 2000GP, 3000GP, Cure3, 2xEther1, Fullmoon (Ninja), Avenger (Sword), 10xMedusa (Arrows), 10xLit/Ice/Fire (Arrows). Bunch of monsters on some of these.

Sealed Cave
Another cave... So travel deep inside to obtain the last crystal. Be stocked on Life and make sure to have your party as powerful as possible. Enjoy. Those trap doors will most likely kill somebody and turn into the Green Chimera unless you are fast.

Boss Fight: Evil Wall
This boss is fast and if you aren't faster, it'll start crushing you literally. You need to put out all the best you got. Attacks, best summons and you should be good. Once you're about to leave this place, make sure to remove Kain's stuff because he's about to go AWOL. Afterwards, take yourself back to the Dwarven King and you will get a drill to leave this place.

Items: 5xLife, 3xEther1, Long (Ninja), 2xCure2, Light (Sword), Ninja (Shuriken), Elixir, 5000GP, Long (Ninja), Ninja (Helmet), Ether2, Cure3

Mysidia and Extras
At this point you can go every where on the Earth except you can not get back into the Towers. One thing you should do is take the Rat tail to the cave nearby Silveria Town with the Hovercraft. You can exchange it for ore. With the Legend sword in your inventory, you can upgrade it now in Kokkol (Underground). When you do this, most of the time you will have to wait a few days to get your sword back but for the first time ever, I walked downstairs just now and it was ready lmao.

You may also want to talk to Yang's wife and get the frying pan now. You can smack Yang in the head and I think that will give you the Sylph summoning. If you take the frying pan back to the wife, she'll give you the Spoon, which is a throwing item for Edge to throw. It causes 9999 damage.

There's also a couple other summoning to get. The first one you can get is Odin in Baron Castle. Another one is Imp? or so I have been told. Mage is another rumored to be a summon and Bomb is the last one. I've never attempted looking to get these summons, so if someone reads this and would like to confirm that for me, that would be great.

Mage can be found in the cave Northeast of Toroia. Bomb can be found on Mt. Hobs? Northeast of Damcyan. Imp can be found in front of Baron castle pretty easily although I can't imagine how strong Imp would be...........

Head to Mysidia and talk to the Elder and you will also earn yourself The Big Whale. Your objective here is to rush to the Moon and meet someone awaiting you.

Lunar Path
Since you are a guest of the moon, please be courteous and respectful at all times (by slashing as many monsters as you please). There are a few caves you will need to follow by the Crystal Palace to get to it, I suggest you go to the Crystal Palace. Once there, you find out you are Lunarian and FuSoYa is your uncle!!! Although they don't technically say that but he is the brother to Cecil's father, so yeah, logically stating you got family. Anyway, he commands you to return to Earth, do it.

Items: Elixir (Monsters), Cure2, Heal

Earth/Inside the Giant
So everyone shows up to help you out. So you decide you'd like to see the inside of the giant so there you go, now you gotta work your way to the core.

Items: Shuriken, Cure2, Ether1, Cabin, 2xLife, Elixir (Monsters)

Boss fight: Four Fiends
Starting with the Earth Fiend, he is weak to Fire. If you use Fire 3, it will cause 9999 damage easily. 2 Fire3 and this guy is gone. Edge can use Flame.

Fire Fiend should be weak to water/ice elements. Flood from Edge does about 3000 for me. Leviathan will also do a considerable amount of damage too. Ice3 did 9999

Water Fiend is weak to lightning obviously. Lit3 should do you the most good here. Edge can Blitz.

Air Fiend is also weak to lightning. Same rule as Water Fiend. She also takes more damage to Excalibur if you forged it.

Boss Fight: Core
Normally I have trouble with this one, but it wasn't troubling at all this time. Have Edge Blitz, Cecil attack, Rydia use Leviathan, FuSoYa use Meteo and Rosa revive anyone who dies. When FuSoYa can't use Meteo anymore, just use him to defeat the defender. You'll be set and with maybe 2 KO's. FuSoYa assaults Golbez and breaks the telepathy between Zemus and Golbez. This also breaks the connection between Golbez and Kain. Golbez and FuSoYa rush off to the moon to defeat Zemus. You should go to the Crystal Palace and move towards it's core. You may also want to go hunting for Bahamut who is inside one of the other caves

Cave Bahamut
Items: Samurai (Accessory), Samurai (Shield), Samurai (Armor), Samurai (Helmet)

Boss Fight: Bahamut
It's best if you put your everything into this fight because Bahamut packs some serious fire power if you don't kill em before he attacks you. Kain - Jump, Rydia - Leviathan, Cecil - Attack, Rosa - Aim, Edge - Throw anything that does more than Edge's normal damage. After the fight, head back into the Crystal Palace to the last place on this game.

**Behemoths are just "regular" monsters who counter every time you attack and have a really high magic defense**

Lunar Subterrean
There's nothing much to say here. Your job is to descend to the core. I suggest you spend as much time collecting items and training as you can. There is a "Boss Fight" here, but like I didn't include the battle with Odin, I figured that you can just go all out hog wild on these bosses. With Pale Dim, I will recommend you cast Float before you engage in battle. In order to get to the Crystal sword, you will need to go to the room after it and find the stairs that look like they go up (They look like they lead up to the area above it). There is an invisible path to get there with 2 land pieces separated. There's also a save point here where you can restore some life before you battle another Boss that I didn't include here.

If you are interested in hunting for the legendary and notoriously difficult to obtain "Pink Tail" you will be able to find that in the room located at the bottom of Lunar Subterrean B5. There is a single chest in the room and the room is small. Pink Puffs will rarely appear in this version of the game and they rarely drop the Pink Tail. Those can be taken back to the tail collector and will lead you to get Adamant Armor which is the best possible armor to obtain in this version. I have never earned a Pink Tail or encountered a Pink Puff, but I've never tried either.

Items: Ninja Armor (Monsters), Murasame (Boss), Flame (Whip), Dragoon (Shield), Dragoon (Helmet), Dragoon (Armor), Dragoon (Accessory), x20Artemis (Arrows), Elixir, 2xCure3, Stardust (Monsters), Crystal Sword (Boss), Crystal (Helmet), Crystal (Accessory), Crystal (Shield), Crystal (Armor), 2xCabin, 3xNinja (Shuriken), Life, 2xRibbon Helmet (D. Dragon), White Lance (The EYE), Heroine (Armor), Masamune Ninja (Boss), Elixir, Whistle

**Note that if you train here and in the Crystal Subterrean, you may encounter monsters that drop stronger items than what some of your gang possess. Dragon Whisker, Glass Helm, Protect (Accessory), Heroine (Armor), Artemis (Bow/Arrows) and possibly more.**

Crystal Subterrean
You're nearing the end! Keep working hard. Train if you must! Climb to the bottom, you're almost there!

Final Boss: Zemus
As you arrive, Golbez and FuSoYa engage Zemus. Together, the 2 work hard and fast to destroy Zemus. They defeat Zemus but Zemus doesn't die, his hatred takes form. Golbez and FuSoYa fail the second time. Your gang goes to engage Zeromus but it does you no good. You're given the crystal and the prayers of all those who you've encountered throughout the game revives everyone in your gang. Use the crystal on Zeromus and he transforms.

Now, for the main event. Hopefully your team is leveled up to a good level. I'd say shoot for 60 to be on the safe side. If you took the time to acquire the weapons and armor throughout the Lunar Subterrean, you should be more than powerful to take out Zeromus with little or no trouble. Kain should use jump as often as possible. Have Rydia use Bahamut, Leviathan, Meteo or Nuke if you didn't fight Bahamut or get to a high enough level for Meteo. Cecil should attack as often as possible (if a second healer becomes necessary his Cure2 should help 1 person alone). Rosa should be your healer and I recommend you use Cure4 and Life2 but if you see an opening to get in White, do so. Lastly, Edge who would be good to attack would do better to throw some of the stronger weapons you should have in your inventory. If you keep everyone alive and let Rosa heal, you should win this battle without any issues.

XP Faster/Earn More GP Tip
Here's a little thing I did to gain levels faster. When I made it into the lunar subterrean, I had my character move back and forth while holding the fast forward button and the action button. What happens is you go into combat and you will fight the monsters without needing to control them specifically. You can also use this method to find Pink Puffs sooner too. I'd increase in level once every several battles (which might be 2 mins) but this depends on what level you are at. Use cure as needed. (Also earns you GP really fast).

I hope you find this guide is useful. If there is anything wrong, needs edited, missing information, questions, comments, fixes, flaws and so forth, please feel free to leave a message here on the topic or private message me.

Great job I love how you used colors to label boss fights and important items in each destination it really helps locating important things and main quests.

DARKANINE : Are you asking about Final Fantasy IV After Years? Honestly, I've never played it. I did watch my brother play it several times though and it struck my curiosity but he plays it on his PSP and I'm not really into the hand-held consoles right now. All I know is there's a lot more detail that goes into that and the more recent versions of the SNES Final Fantasy 2. I know there's Lunar Ruins. I know there's suppose to be something about the second moon being identical to the Red moon of the first game and there being many many more floors in the second moon with all new stronger gear. If I create a walk-through for that, it may be a long time from now lmao.
