Tetris the puzzle game that started it all

Tetris, what is there to say about such a game? All have played it and all have enjoyed it. This was in many respects the game that got puzzle games into the minds of many people. Up until this point not many puzzle games where out and let alone not many like this.

Tetris is a game in which you try to line the bottom of "The Matrix" with different shaped "tetrominos". Think of it like stacking boxes into a crammed car. You try to get them as tidy as possible with no spaces in between any of the tetrominos or that could spell trouble for you. The tetrominos come from the top and there is the Cube piece which is a 2 by 2 block. A line piece which is a 4 square long piece, one square wide. As well as the J piece which is 3 down with one block jutting out the bottom. There is also the T piece similar to the J piece it is 3 long except one sticks out of the center. Lastly there is the Z piece with 2 pieces down 1 over one down. In case you didn't get what they all look like here is a picture.



The board is I have no idea how tall but it is 10 square wide. The game may sound easy in concept but really it is quite challenging. The game speeds up the longer time you play it. The game starts slow but will move so fast at one point that you will pretty much have to tap out and let the blocks stack. The game is a masterpiece of the Russian mind!

The game also has some pretty rocking beats! The game's music may stay with you for a long time after playing the game and honestly you will not care. The music is good and it goes well with the game. Though if you get tired of one tune you can switch to one of the other ones. The game is good sounding as well as good looking.

The graphics may look a little dated but this game does not matter so much about the graphics. If the game was really fuzzy and strange looking but the shapes were still there this game would still work. The game has the most solid game play out of any game in the world. That explains why it has been copied and ported the most out of any game. This is still one of the most solid ports if not the most solid port I have ever seen. The game is great and one that all should play.

I give this one a 10 out of 10 just because I could play it all day long. Then I could play it again the next day and still have as much fun as I did the first day. Did I mention the ending of the game in B mode? You see some old friends from the NES playing different instruments for some reason. Weird but it is nice fan service.

I liked this game and I still do like the game,there is a online game of Tetris,I can not remember what website it was though
