It's got to be Lucario for me... There's so much you can do with that pokemon: you can make it a physical sweeper, special sweeper, or mixed sweeper, and it can learn moves of all kinds of different types. The fact that one of its types is the highly resistant steel type is just icing on the cake.

If it's not a starter, then I use on of the Link-Trade-Evolution Pokemon (Alakazam, Golem, Haunter, Machamp). Those are the two Pokemon that make my party pretty unstopable. Especially when my Pulaski is really wimpy
