Here's some brief TdV info:

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Most CP in a day
Green Jersey: Most CP actions in a day

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with the Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)
Gray Banner: Veteran member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who signed up more than 7 years ago)

Tour de Vizzed Rules:

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in one of the following forums: Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, Video Game Craziness, Newbie Forum (unless posts are made in your own thread then it's 50%)
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-You're caught cheating or unfairly earning Contribution Points
-You're found to be reviewing games that you have not finished
-You post twice in a row on a thread
-Your posts are found to be below site standard to unfairly gain points or are completely off topic
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in the same thread (your own thread and staff threads are an exception)
-If 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day
-Staff members are not allowed to feature their own reviews during the Tour de Vizzed

Reminder: Be sure to PM the RGR Staff if you want a game page added to the site that the site currently doesn't have.

Additionally:
If you get DQ'd just once from a Jersey, you can no longer get points for that Jersey for the rest of the month. We will be very strict from now on with the Tour de Vizzed. Only CP actions which you earned CP off of count toward the Green Jersey.

If you get DQ'd from too many Jerseys in too many TdV competitions, you'll be DQ'd from the TdV forever. Also, if you get DQ'd from a single Jersey in too many competitions, you'll be DQ'd from that specific Jersey forever.

Also, if 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day, you'll be DQ'd from the Yellow Jersey. Too many users have waited until the end of the day to submit a bunch of reviews to the site and that's unfair to users competing

Additional Tour de Vizzed Info:

Some CP actions only count as 1 per day. In other words, any action in the below list can only increase your Green Jersey points by 1:
Forum Navigation, Review Rated, User Referral Posted, Video Rated, Post Spell Checked, Visiting Vizzed, Screenshot Rated, Post, Game Commenting, Thread, Thread Reply, Chat Room Minute, Staff Forum Post, Staff Forum Thread and Screenshot Details Added.

These CP actions do not count toward the Green Jersey: Game Content.

Also the following types of threads have been restricted 1 post per day.
This Thread, ABC, Elimination, and Hangman style threads. Currently ask me anythings not restricted unless abused.

Each day there will be a specific CP action which will be worth doubled the points which benefits the Red Jersey competition. Below is a list of which actions are worth doubled on which days this month:

Wait this isn't just because of the April Fools prank I've been competing all day to win a one day fake tour de vizzed that was real????

I literally made 66 posts on Saturday and then two reviews yesterday only for this to happen. I should have waited.


But I've been saying this for days now. What year is it? First I revert to my old profile pic and layout on Saturday. Then thing1 comes back on Saturday. Then this happens.


Also if this does stay, I'll put down the Viz to do a team competition for the nostalgia.

If I knew this was happening, prank or not, I would’ve competed. Now I’m against the time to make posts before the one hour rule. Jeez warn someone earlier.

I honestly think the unexpected TdV that no one was planning for makes it more exciting though. Often times, people spend weeks or even months creating threads in advance before a TdV. This kind of evens the playing field a little, and opens opportunities for others to land some Jerseys.

Btw, that wasn't me confirming this as being not April Fools related *looks at the time* Oh...April 1st is over, according to the server. Yeah, this wasn't an April Fools prank

well it better be a prank because I'm not ready, I still have a couple of guides to fine tune and I do have a review ready to go but still fine tuning another

So this was- unexpected, but hey, this will my first time being around for a spring TdV, so I will not be competing. I might a grab blue jersey once. Just know that if I do compete, I'll go all out. (Oh yeah, I never make plans for TdV, other than going to sleep at 12:00 AM)

Fair enough about the pre planning. Don’t know why people can’t just do things on a whim. All the reviews I’ve made, on a whim once I beat the game. Posts and threads, on a whim cause I’m just that great. Winning TdV with just a phone for the second time? I’ll try on a whim

An April Tdv my first time trying to win a jersey was back in spring 2016 where I went to bed in the lead for blue several times but due to bedtime being several hours before the end of tdv I never won blue even once leading to the unfinished buisness feeling I had leading to my performance since the start of 2020, I would of loved tdv 4 times a year several years ago but now I don't believe I have another rainbow in me. I will be cheering for bec the phone overlord of tdv. In the meantime however I may be retired but I don't plan on going quietly.... hopefully so classgame, zanderlex, bec bring it on!

becerra95: I'm with ya. I never even considered pre-planning the TdV. That's wild to me.

Also I'm fairly certain that posting pre-written work was explicitly prohibited and would get you DQ'd back in the day.

Wow, this is truly a thing! Nostalgia hits hard with a spring competition once again.

It's a tough month at work, but since I've been using my free time for my own exploits, I guess I could come up with a secret weapon to keep traditions alive. And with a local holiday midway through the month I need to manage my time wisely (hint: I don't know how xD)

Does that mean I'm going to make more posts in order to get more points? Possibly....

geeogree: It was difficult for people to compete yesterday because the april fools prank got rid of pages like new posts and the ability to view peoples posts and threads. So the only way to post was to manually go into every forum and find threads that had new replies.

Well well well.. If you guys thought I wasn't competing (cause I said I wasn't) you were wrong, because I wasn't gonna not compete in a TdV; I have to take back what is mine, Blue Jersey, I didn't get it last time.

I posted too early to say it yesterday but It's nice to see my name back in the title It's been a strong start to surprise tdv for me we'll see how long I can keep it up. I thought bec was supposed to show us his godly phone skills yet here I am mostly using a phone out performing him sad times how the mighty have fallen... But we all knew Skynet was the true supreme overlord all along.

Alright, I've decided that I'm aiming for a solid 5th place finish this Tour de Vizzed. If I can finish in the top 5 then I'd be happy. Good luck everyone!
