I wasn't sure if this should be in the video games or music forum sections, but I'd like to ask if there are any pieces of music in little-known video games that deserve more attention. I've just been clicking through video game music soundtracks on the internet for the past week, and here are a few I'd like to share.

Waterworld (SNES) - Diving A fantastic ambient track, with a percussion track coming in early on to spice things up. My description definitely isn't doing it justice. I'd also recommend checking out the rest of Waterworld's music and Dean Evans' compositions.

Xeno Crisis (GEN) - Area 1 Amazingly high quality rock chiptune music for a homebrew Sega Genesis game. It really puts you in the mood for blasting aliens. I'd recommend listening to the rest of this game's music too.

Rikki & Vikki (7800) - Metal Cavern This is from another homebrew game, this time for the Atari 7800. The game comes with an extra chip on its cartridge to produce much better-sounding music than the 7800's simpler TIA chip audio.

Tobu Tobu Girl Deluxe (GBC) - Electromagnetic Waves (Dream Level) Fun hyperactive Gameboy chiptune filled with arpeggios galore. It's like a little party going on inside your Gameboy! This is another homebrew game. I'm sensing a pattern...

The Smurfs' Nightmare (GBC) - The Mysterious Planet Hey, another Gameboy chiptune with arpeggios! I don't really know what to say, but I think this captures the feeling of a mysterious, otherworldy planet quite well.

F-Zero GX (GC) - Black Shadow's Theme
This is probably the least obscure game on this list, but it rarely got a chance to play in F-Zero GX. I believe this is considered dark gabber/rave/dark hardcore music? I'd love to find more stuff that sounds like this.

Sleepwalker (AMIGA) - Funk Lullaby A really cool, funky, and somewhat melancholic(?) piece of music. I just like how this sounds, and maybe you will too.

Poison Needle (PC-98) - PN_10 Would you call this a sort of downtempo house music? I don't know, but whatever you call it, it's great!

Time Trax (GEN) - Title Screen Tim Follin is probably one of the more well-known-little-known video game composers, if that makes sense. One of my favorite soundtracks of his is in a game that didn't even get released! This one will send you flying through space while listening.

I probably should have thought of a better theme to tie these tracks together than just "little-known games", but oh well lol. Anyone else have great pieces of music that ended up in games that aren't well-known?

Congo! : I've actually heard a lot of these before and agree, especially with the music Time Trax. I'm in love with Tim Follin ever since I found out he did the music for many other games. His work is just so breathtaking honestly, he really did get screwed over by other companies since a lot of the titles were underwhelming at best.

The game itself isn't exactly unknown, but I love some of the tunes from Horizon Zero Dawn, and I feel like lots of people skip over the music.

I use the games theme as my as my PS4 theme..

Mine would probably be the songs from the Rozen maiden: gebetgarden, I really enjoy them and I would love it if more people would get into it although it is only in japanese.

The train station music from Kero Blaster is basically perfect. I haven't even played it, but I'd like to someday, since I liked Cave Story and it was made by the same dude.

Great music from little-known video games, huh? I have many examples, being someone who has played many video games that aren't well known.

Exploring the Forest, from Super Neptunia RPG (or Brave Neptunia in Japan): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQh-mun-yJQ
The Naked Truth, from Dark Rose Valkyire: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBBp2pgYRGc
A Cocoon throbbing in a Dead Man's Mouth, from Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass (I haven't played this game yet): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8E4nLZ0_Xk
Malicious Roses, from Nights of Azure: https://youtu.be/pZ1q6uFS1KQ
Or not to break.., from The Legend of Dark Witch: https://youtu.be/KTpgjTuNnn4
Momoka's Last Battle, from Omega Quintet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-IrrcI5Xy8
And many, many more songs...
