The Jungle Book 2 Review by: Totts - 9.2/10
"Ohhhhh how cute...", I thought when I was reminded of my first experiences with the Disney version of the jungle book during ones childhood and ported to the game boy advance handheld system reviewed here.
The first impression after turning encouraged my memories, and I think only "Ohhhhh how cute...". But back to the reality and the actual reason of this test, so away with the sentimental memories. As mentioned, the presentation of the game is really cutely arranged, very child friendly and clearly held amidst everything Disney film snippets from the old film and garnished with nice details.
In the role of the little boy Mogli searching through his forests and caves looking after small statues to bring you experience points, as well as rafting parts, to cross a river for example and fighting evil butterflies. These "battles" need to be completed but are completely without violence. They are played out in a puzzle kind of way and yet entertaining at the beginning. In the course of the game, these puzzles develop only slightly and are stimulating. Also non-violently "Boss fights are fought in the tradition of dance games like "Dance Dance Revolution.
Each level is filled with more "Ohhhhh how cute..." moments and intermediately through out the game are images and "Ohhhhh how cute..." video snippets from the film.
Graphically it all looks mostly good, with beautiful colors. The sound is also okay too, it stresses the atmosphere and enhances the game.
Disney lovers will no doubt love this game and it is really recommended for children who will also appreciate "Ohhhhh how cute it is.
