Zodiac is a color matching game with astrological themes, where players have to connect three or more balls of the same color to make them disappear. Each level shows a geometric field with a unique shape, containing several balls of varying colors floating around its perimeter. The player controls a cannon loaded with a sphere outside the field, that must be aimed with the mouse and shot towards a group of balls to make a match. When hit, the balls bounce around before slowly coming to a stop. When the target sphere has the same color of the cannon ball, they get connected by a string of sparkling stars. New spheres enter the field through green teleporters located on the vertices, and the objective is to clear the field before the time meter (at the top left) is totally drained.

Special spheres appear on the cannon, acting as power-ups. The asteroid destroys any sphere on contact. The nova star explodes after some seconds of being fired, eliminating any balls that were touched while it was bouncing around the field. The meteor increases the value of the target sphere. Two-color balls match with spheres of either color. Some levels have multiple cannons, and the player selects which one to use by hovering the cursor over them.
