WWF WrestleMania 2000 Review by: pacman1755 - 9.3/10
WWF Wrestlemania 2000 - A Pacman ReviewHello fellow gamers, it is time for another Pacman Review! This time we will go to the Wrestling area of the RGR with WWF(WWE) Wrestlemania 2000! This is one of those early games that the WWE made back then, and its quite interesting if you break it down. So here is my review of the game.
DIFFICULTY 6
The difficulty in this game isn't really that bad, it is rated T for Teen, but its not as bad as it sounds. I played it when I was 9 or 8 and it was pretty easy. The CPU characters get more tough as your "season mode" goes on. It shouldn't be that bad though, I believe if I could beat it when I was a mere child, you should beat it in your sleep.
DEPTH 5
This game isn't very long at all, when you play the story mode, you go through the full WWF Schedule with Raw is War, Sunday Night Heat, and the great PPVs to go with it. You can probably beat it in 1 day if you tried. Nothing that will take too long.
STORY
In Story mode, you can play as any character in the WWF as you want. Including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Undertaker, and more. When you do, you start out as a rookie, and work your way up the WWF ranks. You start out as a jobber so to speak, fighting the people that are on the bottom of the WWF List, then you go ahead and fight your way through some challenges along the way, then eventually you find yourself in a Title match, and you can fight for the WWF Tag Team Titles, WWF European Title, WWF Intercontinental Title, or even the WWF Title! You can compete in all the titles you want since this is realistic to the real thing, if you try enough, you can grab every title in the WWF and become an Ultimate Champion! Not really, but I like to see it like that :P
When and if you get that, you will defend the titles in all matches in a PPV.
ADDICTIVENESS 10
This game is pretty addicting, since there isn't really an end to the game, you can play this for a very VERY long time, and create your favorite wrestlers with Create a Wrestler mode. You can consume hours making your favorite wrestlers into the game in both Today's WWE, and even WCW wrestlers as well. That, and you can even make your own Title as well! You can make a title and once you submit it, you can defend it in Story Mode as well, which is pretty cool. Point is, you will find yourself playing this for a long time, it doesn't get old easily.
SOUNDS 3
The sounds are a bit disappointing, there isn't much to it, the Referee actually says the commands like 123 count, and rope break. The music isn't much at all, or even there at all, its your basic N64 music if you ask me. Nothing amazing, its kind of dull compared to the rest of the game.
GRAPHICS 7
Graphics aren't much either, they have a default face on the superstars, a shape to each superstar that isn't really defined, but it is only 64 bit, everything else is pretty good, the arena stages are pretty good, they seem believable to be exactly the same. That is some impressive design. Everything else is pretty good, its what you expect from the N64 game.
OVERALL 9.3
To sum this game up, its something that you would expect from both an N64 game, and a WWE game as well. I really like the game, I can play this game for hours and not get bored of it to be honest. So you can safely say that I recommend you to go to the RGR and go play it now! Its something you will definitely love to play for a very very long time.
Hope you enjoyed the review. And I hope you enjoy the game as well! Have fun!
