The Silent Scope sniper hits the terrorists for good!!! Jamal999
First of all, I'm Italian, so if my language is incorrect, I'm really sorry.

-In a fistful of words: A masterpiece of shoot'em'up genre, mixed with adrenalynic fight versus time and good graphics, sounds and gameplay. A good but not really complex plot, but a great variety of possibilities. Recommended to everyone (but especially for the lovers of shoot'em'ups)
Introduction:
If You ever played this game in arcade, with the giant gun in your hands, with a palpitant heart, looking through the (silent) magnifying scope, inserting an ocean of coins to reach the end of the story, save the president and kill the big bosses, You know what I'm talking about. If not, read my review! You have to kill terrorists, save your president, and be a professional sniper. A normal day for a Vizzed member ;) I must say that when I review a game, I always refer to its times standards, So, when I say "It is a masterpiece!" I mean: for its times, in its contexts! This is the only way to objectively judge an old game, I think.
Plot:
You are the best sniper of the United States and there's your mission: save the president and his family from the menace of a well structured terrorist organization. You start the game after the return of the first family from a function in Chicago (Illinois). The terrorists kidnap the president, his wife and daughter and demand the liberation of their leader, the dictator. It's up to You to successfully help the first family and end the terrorists menace once and for all. So, in the first level you will help the police, killing every single terrorist in the city area. A good start to polish your skills (but there is also a good shooting range training minigame available in the home menu). But things get serious when you have to decide where to fight the first bosses (Scorpion, Hornet or Cobra): On the top of a skyscraper, in a battle versus a military jet or in the city stadium. By the way, whatever is Your choice, You'll seek Your enemy from a chopper: the movements are harder! But wait, there's more: Your choice decides your next level, so, if You want to enjoy every single possible path, You'll have to play again the game. Going on with your difficult mission, You will save the first family in very different places, get to the terrorists base and, with an epic ending (With a great soundtrack! Oh, I love the final mission theme!), try to save the president and kill the big boss...In a REALLY HARD challenge. The hardest challenge in the game, that will make you fail or win just in a fistful of seconds! Thrilling adrenaline for every shot, every second, every headshot! A must play for all the kinds of gamers, escpecially the lovers of the arcade games like Time Crisis, The Evil Dead, and, of course, Silent Scope! The story isn't really complex, but it works.
Aesthetics:
Great game, the graphics, the music, the sound are really good, realistic. The sound of th sniper rifle, the rendering of the places, the reaction of your enemies that will be alerted whit a wrong shot...A dream come true (at least for its times)!
Graphics:
The environment is very realistic, from the city to the terrorists base. Even the characters are good enough, even if the bosses aren't really nice...Not a perfect work for them, if we except the final bosses like Tom and Jerry, but first of all, the great Monica (wonderful character!) and the big boss, the dictator (in his white suit he looks like a parody of South American mobsters, or perhaps the singer Pitbull in his video "Blanco" XD). Tthe overall score is a good and deserved 8.
Sound:
Realistic too. The environment reacts with different sounds to your shots. The music is great (even if in the arcade version it is better...) and follows You in the entire games, pumping emotions and blood through your veins, creating a perfect atmosphere for this adrenalinyc game. The backup voice in your earphone is nice: for example, when You miss a shot, the backup operator says:"Calm down!" or "You have lost your touch!".
Gameplay:
This beautiful game is a hard challenge from the start to the end: Your worst enemy is the time (not a boss or a terrorist), in facts, if you end your time the game is over, but you can gain more seconds by killing your enemies. But if you hit innocents or policemen, you lose time and life: so pay attention! You can adjust some difficulty settings (time, life, hard/easy mode), but time and terrorists are not really easy to beat. Even with the easy in-game options, Only after a good practice You will see the end of the game and its hardest challenges. You don't have to reload: every 5 bullets, the rifle will be authomatically reloaded. If You need a life, You can see the nice ladies in bikini through your scope, and You'll get one life (and hear a "sexy" music, another interesting thing about the sound). The other part of the coin is that, if in the arcade version You have a plastic rifle with a small LCD placed in the scope, the movements with the computer keyboard or with a joystic are terrible. You have to try it often, but after a little bit of perseverance and patience, You'll get it and become an unstoppable sniper. When You get a headshot, or a heartshot, you got more points, but if you miss, the terrorists will spot you in a hurry, so You've got to be "silent", precise and fast. like a real sniper. The boss battles are difficult and really enjoyable, You can kill them with a headshot or with 5-10 o rmore shots in the body (pay attention for other terrorists and don't shoot the hostages!) The mission objectives are always the same:to kill the terrorists, save the hostages, don't hurt the innocents or the policemen and to fight against the terrorists bosses. But the quite good variety between the bosses scenarios and the full sniping action missions and the frenetic rythms of the games, connected with the possibility to choose between different scenarios and paths, is a perfect mix for your gaming experience!
