Rogue Trip or Twisted Metal?   SacraRain
Hey there, if you're one of those people that enjoyed playing the "Twisted Metal" series... then maybe you should give it a try to play "Rogue Trip"...
Rogue Trip, much like Twisted Metal... is known for it's style of vehicle vs vehicle deathmatch battle system... and with each car comes different ultimate attacks, while each world themselves comes with different world attacks as well. But that's not all, Rogue Trip goes above and beyond NORMAL civilized areas to destroy... oh no, they go to "The Moon", "The Grand Canyon", and many other amazing places.
Graphics- 6/10
Much like the original "Twisted Metal" games, "Rogue Trip" is designed around CUSTOM made vehicles... many of which are designed around a story behind each character. Some characters seem more like the number one criminal known as "Sweet Tooth" (from Twisted Metal) and others seem like your every day family gone completely psychotic. Each area has a unique style revolved around it, allowing the world to be interact-able and not just a playground to blow stuff up on... you can activate switches and traps, activate warp holes and falling buildings. Now, I'm not saying "Twisted Metal" is a bad game... it's another one of my favorite games, but after playing this... I became as hooked on it as I did on Twisted Metal. The choppy artwork may be a minor flaw throughout this game, but it is made up with its extremely violent gameplay.
Sound- 7/10
The sound for this game actually seems a little better than most games like this one (except for Twisted Metal), but outside of that fact... this game has gone far and beyond the standard level of "norm" for most games like this. This game has enhanced it's audio with custom and unheard soundtracks as well as some well known favorites from various artists we may or may not have heard of. Most of the music for this game is from "underground" artists, so they haven't debuted yet during that time... but I'm sure later on, some of them have.
Addictiveness- 7/10
Unlike "Twisted Metal", this game is actually not as addictive. Twisted Metal comes up with new ideas each game and comes up with a wide arrange of weapons, but as for Rogue Trip... it has only been created one time and has stopped since then. The game itself was a bit too "unsteady" for some people playing it, often hinting at "Area 51", and other areas of mystery. This game also proved to have a bit of a "racist" side to it, as well as a "sexist" side as well... but when that is all looked past, this game does have so much to offer throughout the game itself. You can destroy pretty much EVERYTHING you see, and even some things begin attacking you the moment you attack them.
Story- 5/10
Much like "Twisted Metal", the story revolves around each driver themselves... some there for the glory, some there for the money... others there to prove a point, and some even there just because they enjoy killing. But even so, because the stories are so basic and so simple... the all seem to collide in a very complex way, many of them proving that when it comes to life "money is everything".
Depth- 5/10
Even though this game has so much to offer, to be honest... it seems more like a "rebuilt" version of "Twisted Metal" or in other words... a "knock-off" or "re-hash" of their current idea. To be honest, I don't know which one came first... it's not my job to know these kind of things, but it is my job to tell you would this game be worth playing or even buying (if you can manage to actually find it). Well, with what NEW ideas this game has and with what OLD ideas they have rebuilt, I suppose this game is great for anyone who loves the "Twisted Metal" type of games... or even loves "Death Race".
Difficulty- 5/10
To be honest, this tends to vary based on what you put the difficulty at. In most cases, it's around "normal" difficulty for most... but at times it does become "hard" and "expert", and on a RARE occasion... it becomes "easy".
All and all, it's a pretty good game to play... but Twisted Metal is way better.

Thanks Dahaka! The shield works great when you want to confront another vehicle head on or when you're being ambushed.

For the shield is holding triangle and pressing up, right, down and left.

Lastly the computer can use some kind of shield, if anyone knows if this is possible for the player to use please let us know!

Unfortunately not much info about this game online. You can use that green meter on the bottom right of the screen. Double tap gas = turbo and press L1 + R1 to jump!
