Basically mortal kombat deception for the psp   SuperCrash64
Graphics: 9/10
Pros:
The graphics for this title looks quite great compared to the ps2, every sprite looks crisp and great in 3D.  The animations for each of the fighters are very smooth, The bosses like Onaga look incredible. You also have unique graphical elements for the various weapon styles for each character, I remember sub zero's icy blade.. You have details on the stage which look great, dark, and all around creepy which is appropriate for a Mortal Kombat Type game.  There's a lot more gore to be found this time around, including multiple death traps with you just requiring to knock someone off the stage.
Cons: The graphics for Konquest mode is really about the only thing that suffered from this conversion as it doesn't look as good as the console versions, and it runs a little bit choppier but other than that, it's about as good looking as I can remember from the original ps2 game
Sound: 8/10
Pros:
Each of the characters have been redefined with more dynamic and edgy grunts, and now even have their own voice acting as well. I enjoy always hearing my opponent scream to death.
Cons: The only bad thing I can say about the sound is it does sound a little bit lowered than it's ps2 counterpart, even with Headphones plugged in. I noticed this specifically from the intro cut scene during the Konquest mode.
The music on the other hand isn't really anything memorable at least to me. The only song I can remember from this game is the noob/smoke theme.
Addictiveness: 6/10  As good as this game maybe, the death traps and everything else ruin it for me. Usually in a competitive two player mode, the fight always gets ruined for me because someone will always send me down into the spikes, or flames, or even the monsters on the beach area. Luckily this can be turned off, but I didn't know about it until now.  The fighting while great, I hate the fact that they changed some of the move sets from past Mortal Kombat games. Raiden's torpedo for example which used to be back twice and move forward,  that has been completely changed and requires a bit of adapt ion.  That and the combos require a lot of button mashing, which for someone like me who played a lot of Ultimate Mortal kombat 3. Was a bit of a let down.
Story: 7/10 The story of the game is explained in the introduction of the game, it basically foretells what happens after the events of Mortal kombat Deadly Alliance. The Deadly Alliance had won and beaten everyone from Shao Khan to finally Raiden. They then turned on each other, and Onaga returns(Former Emperor of Out world). It appears that an old man by the name of Shujinko was tricked into giving him the power to access the realms, so now you must pick a Kombatant and stop his wrath. How he was tricked into giving Onaga this power? You'll have to play Konquest mode to find that out.
Depth:10/10
Mortal Kombat Unchained/Deception for the PSP offers quite the bit. You have your traditional arcade mode, were you pick a Kombatant and beat up everyone to the final boss. You have Konquest mode, which explains how Shujinko got tricked into giving onaga the power, as well as access to cool stuff and hidden extra's you won't find elsewhere in the game. You have a ton of unlockables with koins, and keys. And on top of all that, you have a Chest mini game.
Difficulty: 7/10
Now the game it's self isn't hard, it's like the other Mortal Kombat games, in that retrospect you have increasing difficulty as you progress through out the game. My only complaint is the combos are ridiculous to pull off, some of them require massive inputs like, O 3 times, X 2 times, then L.  You need to master them in Konquest mode alot, otherwise you won't progress at all.
Overall: 8.8 out of 10 Mortal Kombat Unchained for the PSP isn't bad at all. It's not my preferred game, and if the combos were less demanding on input, I would rate it higher.
