Men in Black - The Series Reviews

3.5
A disgrace to MIB fans, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.   RedHotToddy
Men in black, It  was one of the greatest action adventure films of 1997, It was hailed by critics beyond, And like every other movie or TV show, It had to get It's own line-up of merchandising, Heck, It even got It's own animated cartoon series, Men in black the series. The series did quite good as well, As for the Game boy advance game....You my friend are about to see yourself what lies beyond this filthy piece of T-Rex fices....
Story-5/10
The main plot behind this game is that You play as the two main characters from the Men in black TV series, J & K, as you set out to stop an evil alien invasion. At times, you will be aided by their boss to help with some missions. Anyways, That is the plot of this adventure, Now It is time to get to the actual game itself....
Gameplay-4/10
In this action adventure game, You take the role of these 2 agents named J & K, as you fight and shoot your way through more then 10 big action packed levels. This idea sounds really awesome on paper, But what did we get? We got a poorly done shooter platformer that has so many problems It's hard to go through all of them. The first problem, There is no jump button! That's right, If you're ever in a hassle and you need to get back up, Then too bad! You're stuck there! I swear to god, These 2 dudes need to seriously take lessons from Mario. Now the second problem is the hit detection, It is really off, meaning that you don't hit the enemy, or you don't hit anything at all! Ok I went through some of the game's problems, Now It's time to get to the controls, and oh boy are they a doozy, B and R don't do Jack, But A and L seem to do something, To shoot your gun, You need to Hold R then tap A in order to attack, It is indeed a pain in the butt. The enemies are really no thrills, There will be slugs, aliens, extra terrestrials, etc. It's your typical stuff, But who cares? Anyways that is all I can say for the Gameplay, Bye.
Graphics-5/10
This game was a really early Game boy advance title, And It seriously looks like it, The game uses some sort of weird looking cel shaded animation, And for what It is worth, It looks pretty terrible. In fact, It looks so terrible that When playing as J & K the developers use some sort of pallete swap to making one look African American, and the other look Caucasian. As for the Levels you will be exploring, They are really know thrills, They are boring, messy, and really no fun to play through. In other words, They have absolutely nothing to them, They are the same thing every level. Like I said in some of my other reviews, There is nothing wrong with repetition If It Is done right!
Sound-4/10
Probally the worst part of the whole game, This whole game sounds like A Game boy color game! I am not joking, Every single song in this game sounds so 8-Bit and cheesy, It is not even funny. The songs in each level get quite repetitive and annoying, Making you want to mute your Game boy advance.  As for the sound effects, They are really no thrills! They are just generic sounding explosions and booms, Which will make you want to mute your Game boy advance even more...Anyways, I don't have anything else to say about the soundtrack in this game.
Addictiveness-3/10
There is absolutely no redeeming values to this game at all, So is this a game I will ever play again? Of course not, After going through all of that tedium and frustration, You do not want to see me do it again. Once you beat this game, Just shelf It and never take It out again. It is not worth it.
Depth-2/10
Are you kidding me? No replay value? No I am not kidding, Right after you beat this frustrating game, You do not want to bother playing through all of It again. In fact, This game is so bad, I got stuck on the 4 level for about  2 weeks! As a matter fact, You could just save headaches and download passwords in order to  see where the Men in black end up next, Yes this game uses Password save, Which means you will have to enter in a specific code to get to your favorite parts of the game, All other licensed games on the Game boy advance used this feature, So why shouldn't this game use it? But you won't really need it, considering the game is only 11 levels long, Thus you can beat it in 1-2 hours.
Difficulty-8/10
This game is way too difficult to even be called a game, There are so many problems with this game You will want to pull your hair out of frustration. I remember dieing about 5 times on level 6! Yes the game is that hard, I am not kidding. I would love to see the Angry Nintendo nerd review this, Cause you know, He is awesome!
Overall-3.5/10
Do not buy this game! It is an absolute waste of money...I remember my Mom and dad getting me this on release day for about 20 dollars, With that money, I would've boughten myself something like Mario kart super circuit! A way better game then this. I gave this game a 3.5 because How atrociously tedious and broken It is. So overall, If you want a good licensed game on the Game boy advance, I suggest you look elsewhere. Just stay away from this game! So anyways, This is been your favorite game review RedHotToddy, And I am now signing out. I am almost close to 52 reviews! I can't wait....Anyways bye!
