Godzilla the fighter   Eekme
Godzilla the arcade fighter is very fun until you encounter a boss. The challenge seems fair until the enemy monster begins to hit you with all there specials and do double the damage. That aside the game is very fun and can be addictive.

Run!!! It's Godzilla, the ARCADE GAME!!!   Ultramanzenith
There are very few people who love the Big G as much as me(James Rolfe, of AVGN fame is one such person), and this game does do the franchise justice. Think of it as a better version...MUCH better version of the first NES Godzilla game. The graphics look good enough to be that of SNES caliber(possibly rivaling that of Kaiju Daikessen or Super Godzilla), the monster designs look great, and the sound is top-notch. The story is, as stated before, much like the NES game; just moving through levels, causing wanton destruction as you go, to the monster boss. However, it's the controls that the game suffers. Their precise and there's no lag, but sometimes you can't even tell if you hit or miss, and it's pretty hard to do complex moves like grappling or using super attacks like Godzilla's trademark Atomic Heat Breath. And it's especially frustrating when you're fighting against airborne enemies like Battra and Mothra, since they almost never touch the ground, and you need to be precise, like hitting a dime with a fricking pin at distance of fifty yards precise, to hit them, and there's also the counter that's going, just like every other fighting game that ever there was, constantly reminding you that you're on the clock and time is ticking away! But other than that, it's a good game, worthy of a few or more plays when you just want to cause some destruction and beat up monsters for the heck of it. Certainly more enjoyable than Super Godzilla in that regard.

The barrier type move(quarter circle tail) only seems to come out half the time for me.

It loads, but mapping the buttons is more of a pain than most MAMEs I've played. Also, this game is pretty hard.
