one of my first favorite games on the xbox   killermegaman
Alright my first review of a game, great. I am choosing to review this game because this was one of my favorite games on my xbox. Its not anymore because someone modded me so I cant play online anymore there was no point in me playing it. But anyways, this game was released in November 5, 2007 on the xbox, windows and ps3. This was also released on the Mac on  September 26, 2008 close to a year, just so close. This was also on wii ( a little bit shocking because Nintendo said the wii was a family console) on November 10, 2009 two years after the first release (took them a while although I cant blame them.) it was developed by infinity ward, (for ps3, xbox and windows) aspyr (for Mac) and treyarch (for wii.) it is the forth of the cod Series. Alright, now lets get to the review.
graphics: 10. This game looks so much better then the other one. Cod 1, 2 and 3. Everything just looks great. The guns, the players when you look at them. Even the characters in the story mode. Also  just the things you look at on the map just look so amazing. I cant say it anyway else. They just look so darn good. This is one of its strongest points. But you cant judge a game by graphics can you? No you cant. Although looking at the game is what you need to do and if you have puck graphics, no one will do good because the player cant even look at the screen. This part gets the smile face .
sound: 10. This game also sounds better then cod 1, 2 and 3. But just by a little bit. But even if this was the only game of cod, it still sounds pretty good. When you fire your gun, it sounds like you really are and that's what you want because this is a first person shooter after all. Even when a character is talking, it sounds like a real life being. This is also one of its strongest parts. This part also gets a smile face .
addictiveness: 8. I really loved this game. A lot of other people did too. But then times change. You don't really find people to play with online anymore because of the newer cods out there like black ops or modern warefare. But there are still people at there who play it. Mostly modders though. God I hate those people. They just have to ruin the game don't they. Its not one of those games where you would want to play the story mode again (without cheats). So it gets a 8 because of back then and even though theirs not a lot of people who play it online, its still pretty fun to play with other people.  it gets a thumbs up .
story: 9. The story is pretty good. You take control of six characters (although one is just for a cut scene but you can still look around) one is on the team of sas. (I don't know what it stands for so don't ask) his name is soap ( I don't know why they chose to name him that) another one is one the team of the usmc 1st force recon. His name is Jackson. Another is price of sas as a flashback. There is another one in the sas who is nameless (who knows why he doesn't have a name. I don't.) and is playable after you beat the game. One is another one nameless who takes control of a gunship.  and the last is the president of an unknown middle eastern country who is Yasir Al-Fulani. Every character has there own goal in the story. Which is kind of hard to explain . A war breaks out and you have to pretty much stop them. Well, I guess that wasn't really hard to explain. Oh well, it gets a thumbs up because of all those shocking part of the story though. You have to play it to find out for yourself.
depth: 7. The weakest point of this game although it is a first person shooter so you wouldn't really expect to much. But there are some secrets and unlockables. One is the Intel. When you find a certion amount and you beat the game, you unlock cheats for story mode which are pretty cool. Of course am not going to tell you what or where the Intel is so you have to find out on your own. There are achievements to this game so there you go and when you play online, there are a bunch of stuff to unlock such as guns, perks and cameo for your guns, this gets a thumbs up just by a little bit .
difficulty 6: now I know what you are thinking. "isn't this the weakest part of the game?" well no really because the difficulty is really up to you. If you want a challenge, then put it on veteran. If you suck at first person shooters, then set it to recruit. So I cant really give this is real rating because it depends on you. So I will give it a smile face .
overall:9.7. This was one of my favorite games of all time. I cant blame myself for giving it such a high score but look at other peoples reviews. ign: 9.4/10. gamespot: 9/10 and official xbox magazine:10/10. You get my point? Its one of the best games out there and millions agree. So if your not sure to get this game, get it now. Just get it.

A shining treasure   Kyle!
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (A.K.A COD4) was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activison Games. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the first COD game to feature present day weapons and not be in the 60's and before.  For those who haven't heard of the world renowned Call of Duty franchise, COD is a FPS (First Person Shooter) and is a fast paced action game.
GRAPHICS (9): Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was one of the first Call of Duty games on PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360, the first ones being Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty: Classic. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare looks good still, even today, but doesn't have such high end looks compared to today's games. One thing I noticed is that in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare you don't see as much of your gun you are holding as you see in other games. The reason for the newer games having the guns more visible was because the developers wanted to show they are willing to put detail and use their talents to make the game look as detailed as possible. Similar to Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops the game's lighting is a bit darker, which I like. I know people say if a game looks gloomy they get sad, but I personally like it as I have sensitive eyes and if something has really vibrant colors my eyes hurt and I get headaches (A reason I cannot watch many present day movies like Avatar, the James Cameron one.), Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was perfect for my eyes and looked nice to me. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the game is colorful, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's art, but it wasn't my cup of tea.
SOUND (10):
This part of the review is based on my SPECIFIC opinions and preferences. I personally have sensitive ears, as I do with my eyes, so I cannot watch movies in a movie theater because it's so loud it hurts my ears. Well Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has just perfect sound. The guns don't sound as loud and the volume of the characters speaking is just perfect for my ears. And the music is good for my ears, however, at the ending credits there is a horrible "COD" rap. This is the term, "You can't spell crap without rap" comes to play.
ADDICTIVENESS (10): Personally, I am not a fan of Call of Duty campaigns (The single player mode). They are just too unrealistic for me (Which is ironic as this is COD, nothing is realistic.), I mean, in one level it is you and a small amount of British S.A.S (Secret Air Service) taking down a Russian nuclear missile silo. Aside from that, the multiplayer is very addictive and fun. In multiplayer you have certain gamemodes you may play that have certain objectives, for example, in TDM (Team Death Match) the first team to get 7500 points from kills wins. In Domination, there are three flags, the idea is to hold at least 2 flags and get to 200 points first. The multiplayer, however, is nowadays hacked and has lost it's quality, but before it got hacked it was amazing.
STORY (6): Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare's story is OK, but wasn't really satisfying to me. The events in the next two games, Modern Warfare two and three really only refer to COD4's story. However it is interesting to see maps from the story sorta be referred to in multiplayer. For example, in campaign early on you are trying to stop a Arabic group that formed a coup and has overthrown the leader. You have to find him. As you can expect the level is a sandy Arabic town. In multiplayer, there are many sand Arabic town's that are similar. Which I like to see.
DEPTH (3): Aside from campaign collectibles and prestiging (When you reach the level cap in multiplayer you may prestige, that means you restart at level 1 again and have to earn everything again, but you get cooler emblems.). In multiplayer you may prestige, and you may also try to get gold for every gun (Gold cameo.), but that's all-- which is really disappointing.
DIFFICULTY (1): Unless you are some hardcore player, you are probably not going to play the campaign on Veteran (COD's version of Legendary difficulty), and Hardened difficulty is OK, and the other two difficulties make you practically invincible. I personally enjoy a challenge, so in multiplayer I commonly chose the hardcore game types. Which still has the same gamemodes, only you start with no minimap and you die with less shots, which adds realism and difficulty. ~Kyle
