Atelier Rorona Plus is a unique entity among the other "Plus" series entries. The game system now implements the options found in Atelier Meruru, along with brand-new 3D models, field map graphics, synthesis and battle systems! Additional elements that proved to be popular from other "Plus" titles have also been added to Atelier Rorona Plus. This means that long-time fans will be able to enjoy Atelier Rorona Plus as if playing Rorona's story for the very first time! Needless to say, newcomers will also find plenty to enjoy in this "Plus" entry!

The objective of this title is to complete the Arland kingdom's assignments within the allotted deadline by utilizing synthesis, exploring new areas, and battling foes. Players will receive an evaluation for completed assignments—these are given four times a year, and total to be fourteen. In order to clear the game, players have to complete each assignment and receive a passing grade. Rorona's popularity amongst the townspeople is also a crucial element for which ending players will receive.

Additional dungeons appear thanks to an increased number of maps! New maps have been added to Orthogalaxen, as well! Areas from Atelier Meruru, such as Machina Domain, and Atelier Totori's area, Abyssal Tower, have returned with powered-up foes! Unknown ingredients and restless monsters await Rorona and her friends!
