geeogree : I see you don't deny the assessment. Well, props for self-awareness. It's only 'no good reason' because you're just going to ignore the whole point, really. The point is, if you act like you don't care, people are going to get the impression you really don't care even if you insist you do afterwards. Like how Nintendo claims they care about their customers, hmm? Oh, I'm wasting my time, I'll bugger off now. I see you don't deny the assessment. Well, props for self-awareness. geeogree : Geeogree used "Seniority"! It was not very effective... Yeah, I'm new here, sure, but I'm not dumb, and I've had a good look around the site. You know what I see just about every single time your username comes up? An eye-rolling "look at me I'm so bad because I'm rude and don't care about anyone lol" tryhard channer attitude, at one point even mocking a person who was asking for help because they felt like they were being harassed instead of talking them through it and deciding to join in on distressing them further by spamming their profile and inbox. Yeah, that's totally an attitude fitting of an admin who 'cares' about the site he 'works' on. I judge a person by what they do, not what they claim to do, and boy, you sure do put on a really nasty example. You must be a stellar expert in whatever coding or management work you do, or have personal ties, because you certainly didn't get your position for your customer support skills. geeogree : Tyrian Delirium : Or maybe they don't bother because they know very well you'd just shove your fingers in your ears and scream "you're butthurt!!!" at increasing volumes and Sheldon-levels immaturity if anyone dares. ![]() Allow me: You're a pair of spiteful pessimists who have forgotten yet again that acting like you're completely devoid of empathy, respect, or decency isn't cool anywhere outside of 4chan, or to be exact, /b/. Happy that you got attention for your grandstanding now? Now how about we put aside your insecurity about not looking edgy enough, and respect the fact that everyone else is concerned and upset about their favorite site, hmm? Well, I'll need to apologize to anyone who was hoping to see a review from me soon after my motivating and bombastic introduction, but looks like I won't be able to do any Vizzed gaming, and as such no reviews for now. :/ See, first my laptop's charger port got busted. It wouldn't charge anymore, and as switching to another cord wouldn't work and the battery is fine, it's the port that's busted, so I had to send it in for repairs. I managed to transfer my Vizzed save data over to the main PC so I could continue... ...and the router breaks too! ![]() Yep. So I'm without a laptop OR Internet. The library's within walking distance so I can still talk on here from there, but I can't use the save data here or the plugin, plus I can't review dosbox games because they wipe all data overnight unless I do the game in one go, and that's just not my style. So I'm stuck without Vizzed until either the router or the laptop is fixed. Joy. I'll still answer threads and such and pop on to say hello (Library's closed tomorrow though), but looks like my first review is going to take a lot longer than I thought. =_= Well, time to catch up with Urban Rivals, I guess. TotalSymphony : Wow, aren't you just the most loyal and faithful user? I mean, it's obvious that you clearly can't play any of the tens of thousands of other games still remaining on the site, right? Even if you don't want to do play anything, still no reason to be such a piss about it, you could have just left quietly instead of loudly declaring that you're abandoning the website when it needed support and help. Not cool, dude. Wow, aren't you just the most loyal and faithful user? I mean, it's obvious that you clearly can't play any of the tens of thousands of other games still remaining on the site, right? DerAxeEfekt : Hey, you seem lost, so I'll give you a little tip; you earn points for being an edgy antisocial misanthrope on /b/ and /pol/, not on Vizzed. On here, things like empathy, kindness, and decency still exist and you don't look cool, only like a fool, for acting like you don't have any of that. This site is thoroughly loved, and the removal of so many frequently played games is actually a pretty bad impact to the site. If you can't or won't understand... Well... This isn't the site for you. Refer back to the first sentence for directions. ![]() Hey, you seem lost, so I'll give you a little tip; you earn points for being an edgy antisocial misanthrope on /b/ and /pol/, not on Vizzed. Gamerman920 : Yeah, except those cash cows have died of old age. AKA everyone is getting bored of them because they're stagnating from unoriginality and abandoning them. Most people are now favoring Indies or moving on to other franchises, leaving Nintendo to gradually become obsolete. Which is why Nintendo is panicking and throwing their weight around threatening anyone they think is a competitor, like a mindless, insecure jock. Funny thing is that Square Enix is facing a similar stagnation problem, but instead of acting like a complete screaming imbecile towards their fans, they tried to catch up by expanding to PC gaming, which is actually a smart move... Even if they're currently bad at porting. ![]() Yeah, except those cash cows have died of old age. Who else is boycotting Nintendo for the rest of their hopefully short lifespan? ![]() For years of milking only their most popular franchises and refusing to take any creative chances, they're basically stagnating, and now they're panicking, trying to throw their weight and take control. ...Yeah, smart idea, angering and chasing off your fans. ![]() Who wants to bet Viz on how long before Nintendo finally keels over dead and collapses under their engorged ego? Shame, I was curious about the new Pokémon games, but I guess they don't want anyone to play them~ ![]() For years of milking only their most popular franchises and refusing to take any creative chances, they're basically stagnating, and now they're panicking, trying to throw their weight and take control. ...Yeah, smart idea, angering and chasing off your fans. ![]() Who wants to bet Viz on how long before Nintendo finally keels over dead and collapses under their engorged ego? I would have to say Starbound! Though I'm currently not playing it since I'm sick of the It's pretty excellent already even in beta and as vanilla, pretty fun and addicting, but the modding system is a whole thing altogether, so much to add! Especially the Frackin Flora mod, which pretty much TRIPLES the total content of the game by itself alone with the amount of quests, equipment, plants, planets, biomes, and more. Then there's the ever-popular Avali mod, which adds the adorable Avali species. I'm a sucker for tactical RPGs (Except Fire Emblem, I hate Fire Emblem.) and two of my all-time favorite T-RPGs are generally obscure and unknown; the Shining Force series, and Utawarerumono. I loved Shining Force 1 and 2 mostly because of its huge and interesting variety of playable characters. I mean, come on, you can recruit an armadillo piloting a steampunk powersuit and a flying magic-casting jellyfish among others! Utawarerumono was actually originally an eroge (If you don't know what this is, you're not old enough.) and T-RPG hybrid, though it did eventually have a non-eroge PS2 port. The eroge features were unimpressive and easily ignored, but the gameplay and story, on the other hand... The story was fun, and the gameplay was excellent and quite addicting (even if you had to deliberately lose if you wanted to grind), and I loved playing it! Shame it's borderline impossible to find the PS2 rom and the English patch for it now... Also, is anyone familiar with Stone Soup Dungeon Crawl? ![]() I loved Shining Force 1 and 2 mostly because of its huge and interesting variety of playable characters. Fill_In_The_Dank : I don't think there's currently a function like that, but then I'm new myself, and I could be wrong. However, I recall that you could convert the save data to code, then manually input the code in the sequel when prompted, though that takes time. You should check, there should be an option in-game to export save data as a password code. I've played the games myself, and I remember using those codes! Definitely respect the pronouns. As long as it's not those ridiculous trans"trender" neo-pronouns like nyanself. As someone who has mild gender dysphoria, I want to break it down to make it understandable and easier to explain. Think of it this way; your brain is 'programmed' with the opposite gender at birth. Like, your instincts. You know how most men tend to just naturally be all BE STRONG, DEFEND FAMILY, FIGHT ENEMY even without being socialized to be like that, right? And then women have maternal instincts. Okay, imagine you're born a man, but instead your brain comes with the package of women's and mother's instincts instead, meant to manage a female body. That's gender dysphoria- your brain is acting as an incompatible gender. This doesn't seem all that special, but well... You know how the human body tends to react to having a component it doesn't know about. If you have gender dysphoria, there's a high chance your brain might react badly to the fact that you have the wrong hormones and genitals. On the milder side, it's just constant discomfort and confusion when you feel like you're in the wrong body and you have rather contradictory thoughts. On the severe side, however, you might get some fun stuff like constant stress, migraines, psychological break-downs, and suicidal urges. That's why hormone therapy is the cure- it puts the compatible hormones in your body and shifts your physical sex closer to what your brain was expecting, and helps it calm down and return to working normally. The genital surgery actually isn't necessary, it's just aesthetic, so most transpeople don't go for the surgery unless they have the money and want to be 'complete'. Most transphobes hung up over 'mutilating the body' keep arguing about curing the brain instead, but thing is, there's no medicine or psychological therapy for that way that we know of that actually works yet, or else most transpeople would be taking it instead. The religious "therapy" is just torturing the transperson until they shut up about it out of fear of being tortured further and just suffer in silence. Most people who have more severe gender dysphoria tend to be very sensitive about gender pronouns too, since insistently calling them the wrong gender will remind them about their situation and stress them out further. Kind of like spouting 'grape' jokes around a 'grape' victim, then continuing to do out of spite when they ask you to stop because it's stressing them out badly. maguc : SWTerra : That's not what otherkin is. XD It's more like a spirit animal thing, like "I believe I'm actually a cat on the inside." Nothing to do with gender, and most of them just do it for fun or fetish. It's usually the Tumblr bloggers and SJWs who take it too far and try to argue it's actually a religious (or for the attention-seekers, a mental disorder) thing, and the especially crazy ones actually do try to make it part of their gender when they're pretending to be trans too. They're an embarrassment to the LGBT community. As someone who has mild gender dysphoria, I want to break it down to make it understandable and easier to explain. Definitely Bernie. Not only he has been consistent with his policies and true to his word for literal decades (virtually unheard of from American politicians!), but he doesn't try to suck up to anyone and sticks to his goals. Even if you don't fully agree with him, you have got to admire that he's the most honest candidate we've had in probably centuries. Hillary, on the other hand, is an inconsistent liar who constantly changes her position to try and kiss up to the voter base for easy votes. She has had a lot of unpleasant opinions in her past, and was actually a lot more right-leaning before she thought she'd have a better chance running for democrat. Even feminist Tumblr makes fun of how much of a flip-flopper she is, and they were her biggest chance of getting in with the "Vote for me, I'm a woman!" shtick. janus: Dude, I've read the entire argument, and all the while you were hollering about Matt ignoring you, you've been the one consistently ignoring all of his counter-arguments and proof. Instead, you kept throwing more links for him to refute and kept projecting about how he's foolish and ignorant. Sticking your fingers in your ears doesn't make you the winner, it embarrasses you in front of the audience. Also, calm down with your knee-jerk red scare paranoia. Just because Bernie wants to introduce some policies resembling some of those in socialism doesn't automatically turn it into pure socialism, it's still capitalism, just with some improvement. Before you start hollering about liberals, I'm independent. Both sides are right and wrong about different things, but a lot of the louder members of both are also stubborn that they're 100% right and can't possibly be wrong. RDay13 : Not a good idea- Despite her claims, Hillary isn't very feminist and constantly changes her mind on such subjects. She'd make a bad representative. That would be a hilarious irony, our first woman president being a lousy feminist, but I'm more concerned for the state of the country. mike345 : You kidding me? Trump is awful. Even the republicans hate him, and that's saying something! I'm honestly wondering where he's getting any of this support from. What, were there an unseen army of skinheads who thought all the previous candidates weren't extreme and racist enough for them? I don't know much about Rand Paul, but considering he also gets plenty of hate from both wings... Honestly, most of the airtime those two get are either paid for by them (as they're both filthy rich 1%ers), or are about how much of a bad idea they are. It should be a final resort if the child is extremely uncooperative and continues to misbehave or even get violent, and even then, the physical punishment should be minor, not severe enough to visibly injure. Otherwise, you should reason with the child and use restrictions like taking away their games/tv privilege for a while, take away their favorite entertainment until they behave. Psychological abuse (refusing to let them socialize at all, killing/giving away their pets, outright destroying their property, trying to get them fired/dumped/alienated when older, etc) is just about as bad as physical abuse and WILL make them thoroughly hate and mistrust you for a large part of their life. Trust me. It only "works" because they want to stop you from doing this horrible stuff to them. If they're smart, once they're old enough to leave, that will be the last you'll ever hear from them, unless it's about how much they hate you. If you've managed to brainwash them into thinking this is okay to do to them, you don't deserve children or respect in any form. Speaking from personal experience, unfortunately. My parents have... gained more sense since then, but I still find it hard to trust them. Before you assume I was a horrible child, the majority of my 'misbehavior' revolved around repeatedly forgetting chores. Even though I have memory problems to begin with due to chronic acute migraines that I had to suffer for a good 12 years before I finally could get it diagnosed. ![]() I've moved out, I'm on medicine for that, I got help, and my health has improved, so I'm much happier and better now though. EX Palen : I actually enjoy having the BGM on. At least if it's somewhat good, sometimes the music is grating, like FF5's battle music... It sounds like static to me, but then that could be my damaged hearing, lol. My plan is to stick to the user average, but rate slightly above if I end up really enjoy it, or slightly below if it's annoying enough to make me ditch the headphones. Hoo boy, do I plan to cover those areas! Already got some notes on addictiveness for this game. I have no worries about quota since I'm unemployed (disability), and the only thing I really do those days is hit the gym and go shopping. supernerd117 : I looked, but all of the patches are to add new and fancy OP chips, not to fix that problem. Though there's one person who's notorious for his chip hacking skills, so perhaps if the net play is still out (I'll try to ask a staff about this if I can find one?), I can reach out to him and see if I can get him to make a simple romhack for both versions so that the needed chips are available in the opposite versions. I'd enjoy it too if not for the turn restriction, which gets ridiculously limiting at times, and makes it more frustrating than fun. I know of Chrono X, yes! Taking such a long time to make it though. But once they finish it, definitely going to see about having it added onto here as the unofficial 7th game. Speaking of finished roms, one of my goals is to possibly moderate the hacks- especially the Pokémon ones- so that they keep 0ddie : Wow, why is my passionate arrival impressing everyone? XD Well, I certainly seek to help this site be worth visiting and get the attention it deserves! Well, I considered the chat room, but decided to put it off when I saw it charges Viz. I need to save up so I can get that PSX item as quickly as I can. Can't review PlayStation games without it, you know! I might take a look see around the forum boards meanwhile though. Vanelan : I'm currently playing Final Fantasy V Advance. The Custom Classes mod in particular. Loving it so far, definitely going to be reviewing it rather positively! Though at the moment I'm just grinding my jobs ha ha. After that, Riviera then the Battle Network series unless a different mood strikes me. Why, were you hoping to see more reviews for a game in particular? ![]() I'm currently playing Final Fantasy V Advance. The Custom Classes mod in particular. TheTrueUlti : Are you sure? That sounds a lot like an excuse to me~ ![]() Well, I don't like Dragon Ball Z outside of Gohan's arc (as it was the only time it wasn't mostly about men screaming and punching each others XD), but I think I've actually played Legacy of Goku once out of boredom and curiosity. Didn't one of those games involve Mr. Satan with a hilariously OP special? The photo flash that stunned and damaged every single enemy on the screen. Made his story (with the exception of certain puzzle events) ridiculously easy. If that's the series you're speaking of, then yes, I actually did enjoy those games! They were pretty fun, what with all the side-quests and finding all the items and power-ups. I didn't know there was a third game, I should check it out sometimes! Are you sure?
