MaMaMedia.com, circa 2001. It was a edutainment site for kids that I had seen on TV so I asked my grandmother to let me use the new computer she just bought. The site still exists, but it redirects to the parent company now. I think the site was online until 2012 or 2013 and it still looked just like it did in the IE4.0 era.

I haven't been on Vizzed in a month or two, so the recent development is pretty disappointing to find out about.

I'm trying to use the self-loading feature but it doesn't seem to work. I tried a rom that works fine on my offline emulator (filepath H:EmulationNESRomsSuper_Mario_Bros_(U).nes) but on Vizzed it won't work. In Chrome it stays at "Starting Rom Download: 0%" and in Firefox the Vizzed plugin crashes which in turn causes Firefox itself to crash. I am using Vizzed plugin v2.41 which I believe is the latest version.

Any help with this?

Edit: I also tried one from the Vizzed folder, in this case "C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginRomsF-ZERO (U) [!].smc" but still no dice.

I'm able to get all of those games to load as of 6pm US Pacific Time 11/3/15. I'm using Mednafen emulator with the chatbox disabled.

Are you using the Vizzed plugin, or one of the Java emulators?

I'd been paying for 50mbps as well (and averaging 53-61mbps download speed), but our bill went up from $67 to $87 recently. However, it looks like my speed went way up as well, so I guess I won't complain about the extra charge. Thanks for the heads up on this! If only my upload speed were better, I could move my anime seedbox to a local server and save some money, but oh well.

Which games in particular are you trying to play? I had this issue with some Atari 2600 games last night. Some of the servers are under maintenance right now, which could likely be part of the problem.

linklink : Yep, I'm with you on this one. Children are expensive. If I took all the money I would spend on a kid, but put it in a savings account instead over the next 18 years, I could own a Lamborghini when I'm 40. (Well, it would be a used Lambo that's 5 or 6 years old, but hey, it's still a Lambo!)

I'm absolutely never having children, and I post frequently in /r/childfree on reddit with other likeminded people.

I also just got into bitcoins and so far I've made a little bit of money off of the half-coin I bought 1 month ago. I don't know if that's a safe currency to use for Vizzed, though, it's not all that predictable.

Wow, really?

I mean, I live in a pretty bad neighborhood right now and there's a lot of drug users and a few people with weapons who shouldn't have them, but I've never lived next to terrorists, and you've been near terrorists twice? What country do you live in, man?!

I was wondering if we're going to be playing against each other in real time, or if it will be a time-trial where each participant has to post a screenshot of the best time they can get.

I'm interested. I grew up playing CTR almost every day so I know every track better than the back of my own hand.

I typically play as either Crash or Dingodile, depending on the track.

Is this going to be a live play tournament? What time do I need to be online for matches? I work full-time so I'm only available after 6pm US Pacific Time unless it's Saturday or Sunday.

My information must be a little out of date, then. The last I heard, Vizzed no longer worked in Chrome. But I keep this old version of Firefox around for other things, too.

Is it normal? No, probably not. You're right, most people, gay or straight, have dated by the age of 21.
But whether it's normal or not is irrelevant. Are you happy? That's the question that matters.

There are many aspects to life and some people don't date much in their young adult years because they're focusing on school, their career, or other important matters. Do you absolutely want a partner right now? Or is there something else you want more? You should focus on whatever aspects of life make you the happiest.

The best suggestion I can give you is not to worry so much about it. Typically, when you are an active person, going out and doing things that you love and working hard in life, you eventually stumble across someone you want to be with. I've found that this makes for a more genuine relationship versus actively pursuing a partner.

In older versions of Windows (7 and earlier), you can. I can't speak for Windows 8 and Windows 10 users, though.

Vanelan : I was only messing with resolution settings, but you're right that it would make sense that at least some of the configurations are able to be modified by users, else why would they be stored client-side to begin with? lol

Essentially yes: if the game did not have a built-in save feature when it was originally released, either on the cartridge or by use of a memory card, then it will not have one on Vizzed. Pressing F2 creates what is called a "save state" which is an emulation feature (and I'm sure someone can explain this part better than I can) that creates a point in memory where the game was running. Loading your save state goes back to that exact point when you had that exact score, number of lives, and so on. The save state, just like a memory card file, is saved in your Vizzed folder so that you can come back later and continue from that exact point.

But anyway, if the game does not have a built-in save feature, then nothing can be done. A lot of older games are like this. If you were playing Super Mario Bros back in 1985, you couldn't save! Once you turned off the NES, you had to start over at World 1-1! Vizzed emulates the games (or tries to) exactly as they were on the day they were released.

Hope that answers your question!

Try unplugging your controller, and setting the controls from there?

I doubt uninstalling the Vizzed plugin and re-installing will help, but if you end up doing that, you can back up your saves by navigating to " C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-234248 " and copying the files to another place on your hard drive, or to a USB flash drive.

Vanelan : I've tried to do this before with no success. The config file is written dynamically each time a game is loaded and the values, including the one for system resolution, are written by the server, so even if you change them, the server will change them back the moment that you run a game.

I have a similar issue on my Windows 7 computer. I'm hooked up to a somewhat dated (2009 model) 1080p HDTV that does not support resolutions below 1024x768 over HDMI, whereas Mednafen runs retro games at 640x480. Luckily, my TV also has classic VGA support, so I bought a VGA cable ($5 on newegg) and ran that second cable from my tower to my TV. VGA colors look much more washed out compared to HDMI, so I keep the HDMI plugged in when I'm not playing on Vizzed. Windows now thinks I have two monitors plugged in at all times, but at least I can play fullscreen games.

tl;dr: for me it had nothing to do with my computer but with my monitor. I don't know if this will help you but you're welcome to give it a try if you're seeing similar symptoms to mine. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.
