“You lost Rachel?!” Trent shouted, worriedly at the girls. Ruth and Barbara both nodded sorrowfully, as Axl looked around for his missing owner. Trent sighed, as he looked at the kids. “Barbara, Ruth, check every possible area for where Rachel might be. Kyle, we’re going to go ask any employees if they’ve seen Rachel. Maybe someone saw her last.”

“And if we can’t find her?” Barbara asked, as she was internally panicking.

“Use that code word we use whenever we’re in trouble.”

“Got it!” Ruth said with a nod, as she and Barbara both ran off to some of the possible arcade machines Rachel might be at.

Rainbow. The code word for “I’m in trouble.” What started out as Rachel parroting an Undertale AU Multiverse comic (With the original quote being that Error Sans was calling Ink!Sans a ‘Rainbow a**h***’) became their code word for “help.”

###

If only someone could hear her pleas of help that swam in her mind, as she slowly woke up only to see darkness. Thankfully that darkness helped with her raging headache, if the headache was near her eyes and not the back of her head.

She was scared. Where was she?

’okay. One step at a time.’ She thought to herself.

’Step 1. Make sure hands aren’t tied.’ Rachel couldn’t feel anything restraining her hands or legs, which gave her freedom to do whatever she wanted to do with them.

’okay… step 2… feel my way around’ Rachel felt the area around her… starting to get an understanding where she was, when the room around her moved violently, and she went flying into something cold and metal… She realized she was in a car, more specifically the trunk of a car. The car started moving again and she knew exactly how to plan her escape.

She felt her way around the ceiling of the trunk, thinking to herself. ’escape lever… escape lever… es… nuthin’ sus. Escape le- ah-ha!’ Rachel grabbed onto the lever and pulled on it tight, causing the trunk to fly open. This was a bad move…

The car suddenly stopped and the sudden stop launched the young woman out of the car and rolling into a patch of grass not far from the car. Her head throbbed with pain. She felt like her favorite character from her equally favorite fanfic. Only there wasn’t a 25 foot monster trying to eat her. But now was not the time to be thinking about fanfics.

Rachel weakly got up, feeling pain in every inch of her body. She hissed in pain as she tried to force her body to move ’I just…. Have to find… help…’ She quietly encouraged herself. She looked around; trying to find the car she got out of, but couldn’t find it. She then started to limp away from the scene.

She noticed a building far off in the distance. Maybe she could reside there?

###back at the arcade###

“Did you find her?!” Barbara asked Trent and Kyle, as they regrouped. The men shook their heads in unison.

“The lady at the front counter said that Rachel had gone to the local gas station, but when we called, Rachel wasn’t there.” Kyle explained.

That’s when Axl started barking and darted out the door, dragging Barbara with him. When they got outside, Axl was sniffing at a spot on the ground, before sitting and whimpering. Trent, now concerned about Axl’s behavior, took a closer look at the ground… his eyes widened…

Blood… Probably Rachel’s blood.

“Everyone, get inside. Now.” Trent shouted. Obediently, the kids ran back inside the arcade, confused but knew something bad is going on. Trent pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed 911. “Hello? I found blood and… we have a missing person who might be in extreme danger…”

###Back with Rachel###

Heart, pounding. Adrenaline, racing. Rachel ran towards the building she’s been keeping her eyes on. She was always the fastest out of her friends. She was glad for her agility. Especially in this situation, as she never looked back at the scene. She never checked to see if she was followed. Didn’t need to now.

Pain slowly filled her mind as she reached a red truck near the building. She was starting to feel tired from the pain her body was in. Rachel sat next to the truck as she started to cry. Her sobs were loud enough for someone to hear them. She didn’t care. She was tired, lost, confused. She hated this sudden change.

She laid on the ground and curled up, trying to hum Expurgation. There was one part of the song that she tends to howl to. Which she did, letting out a loud and pained howl. She quickly covered her mouth with her hands. It felt like that howl took all that remaining energy she had as she started to close her eyes.

Voices quickly filled the quiet air, as Rachel fought against the heavy weight of her eyes. Fuzzy figures stood before her.

’oh… hello there…’ She thought to herself before losing against the battle between her heavy eyes. ’I guess I’ll just take a nap now… good night.’

Hey guys, what's up? OmegaReploid here! It's been a while since my last video game review. I decided to go down a different path and go over one of my latest obsessions: Guilty Gear. I don't think it makes much of a difference, but I played it on the Nintendo Switch and not the original PS1. The only minor differences I can say are controls, and I think the switch has some extra music. THERE WILL BE SPOILERS FOR CHARACTERS, THEIR STORY LINE, AND LATER GAMES!!! Let's begin!

Graphics

I'm going to admit; I'm a huge sucker for 2D sprites. The graphics are pretty amazing, I enjoy each character and their unique animations. What impressed me the most was the backgrounds for each stage. Each background had fun little details that gave the stage a little bit of personality. As for the character designs, I liked most of them. Dr. Baldhead is my favorite out of the bunch, but I'll explain later why I like him. May is also a pretty interesting character design-wise. Despite having lots of praise for the cast of characters, Potemkin and Zato=One are the few characters that terrified me when I first saw them. I also hate Potemkin a lot... again, I'll explain later. Wrapping up this Potemkin slander, that ring around his neck seems to be a great setup for a lot of manga jokes, such as in Guilty Gear X PLUS 4koma Kings (DNA Media Comics) and Guilty Gear X 4Koma Kings (DNA Media)

While not related to the game itself, I want to praise some of the artwork for the game. The promotional(?) art for Dr. Baldhead is one of my favorites, and if you read too deeply into it, it leads into a sad story.

So there's my praises. Now onto some complaints. Because this game is of the 2D sprite work, there are times were sprites get... weird. Sometimes you can't tell what is what. The timer is one of my complaints. At first, I didn't see the HUD's timer and thought that it was just part of the decorations, until during mid-match, where I saw it slowly moving. Another issue I had was with the character Baiken, as it was hard for me to tell if she had one arm. Which, yes, she does.

Graphics rating: 9/10
Sound
As much as I normally praise music, I'm not so positive on this game. There were a few tracks that I did enjoy, such as Suspicious Cook (Baldhead's theme), Holy Orders (Be just or be dead, Ky Kiske's theme), Unidentified Child (May's theme), and Writhe In Pain (Milia Rage's theme). Though, personally, I'm not a huge fan of the screaming, loud gutiars in a lot of games, and especially comparing to the other Guilty Gears games, such as XRD and Strive, which have a few more tracks that I enjoy more. (I don't know how many times I've listened to Marionette, Ups and Downs, Jack-A-Dandy, Alone Infection, etc.)

Straying away from the music, the voice acting is pretty decent if not compressed. The voice acting does give the characters a bit more personality and can be pretty amusing at time. But it can also get a bit redundant and old. (especially if you spam the same moves....

It was a busy night at an arcade. Five friends were celebrating their friend’s first step into adulthood. Their friend who they thought would never take this first step… Eighteen year old Rachel Meirs bought her own house to escape her abusive father. So, as a prize to her first step in buying a house was a fun trip to the arcade.

Rachel, being followed by her friends, excitedly and quietly darted to her favorite arcade machine in the whole arcade; a DDR game where you can import custom music with an USB drive. Her hands shook excitedly, like Hank’s after seeing a large blender in the Madness Combat series.

“Uh-oh. She found her favorite game.” One of her friends chuckled.

Rachel nodded excitedly as she put in arcade tokens and her USB into different slots of the machine, quietly, before choosing one of her favorite songs on her USB; Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There (Composed by Shoji Meguro, lyrics by Benjamin Franklin(?), from Persona 5)

“Who am I? Am I not unique? Maybe I’m not here at all-” were the words that came out of the machine's speakers

Those lyrics rang in Rachel’s mind. “Who am I… Who am I?” Rachel quietly reminded herself of who she was and who her friends were…

Rachel Meirs, an 18 year old female, was always nervous to do stuff on her own… that’s how she is. She’s always quiet and reserved… The simple things were often the biggest moments of her life. Especially when she got her pet dog, Axl, a certified service animal. However, her father was not proud of Rachel when she got Axl for emotional support. For many years, Rachel had dealt with her abusive father, who often physically abused her. The worst thing he would do to her is take her anxiety medications from her, and refuse to give the medications she needs. Ever since an incident, she started to carry around her medications in her favorite vest. All of her friends compare her to a rainbow turtle, hiding in a grey shell. She liked that analogy.

Trent Zanis, a 35 year old male, was the one who encouraged Rachel to start doing her now normal habits. To Rachel, Trent is a more of a father than her own father. Trent has done more good things in her life than her father, such as giving her money to buy her own house. He knew the torture she was going through. Trent wanted to protect her so bad… So he turned that wish into reality.

Barbara Seekuh, a 16 year old girl, was another one of Rachel’s friends who got Rachel out of her shell. Barbara, however, learned some tricks from Rachel herself. While Barbara is very boisterous, mainly with her voice, Rachel has taught Barbara that it’s okay to also be very quiet too. She, Ruth, and Trent have been the only people to see Rachel’s true colors, only for them to be hidden by that grey, emotional shell of hers.

Ruth Eule, a 17 year old girl, who was one of the first people to see Rachel’s true colors, during an unexpected sleep over at the younger one’s house. Ruth really cares about Rachel’s mental health and knows Rachel better than anyone else. With that said, Ruth knows Rachel’s tendencies… especially the bad ones.

Kyle Sudas, a 15 year old boy, has been a huge fan of Rachel’s skills in musical instruments, especially in piano. He once got Rachel playing various video game music and saw her give the biggest grin while playing piano. That was his proudest moment and the closest thing he’s seen to Rachel getting out of her shell. He tries too hard to get Rachel to show her true nature, but maybe… maybe tonight he gets to see that?

Rachel happily tapped her feet on the arrows of the large DDR game pad, looking very energetic and starting to giggle a bit. Her dog, Axl, stood by Barbara as the young woman played the rhythm game.

“Hey Trent, can we race against each other in Motor Racer III?” Kyle asked, bored of watching Rachel playing DDR. Trent looked at the young boy before looking back at Rachel. “Well…. One of us has to keep an eye on Rachel…” Trent replied.

“I CAN!” Barbara shouted excitedly, as she jumped up and down like an excited child, who couldn’t wait to open presents on Christmas.

Barbara’s shouting startled Rachel, who finished her song, as she gasped and covered her ears and ducked. She hated when Barbara shouted. Ruth replied in a tone that comforted Rachel. “Barbara and I can keep an eye on Rachel.” She reassured Trent.

Rachel glared at Barbara as she huffed, doing her impression of Sanford from Madness Project Nexus “I don’t need a baby sitter!”

Trent sighed, as he explained to Rachel “Rachel, I don’t want Daren to come find you and do you any harm. We’re not babysitting you, we’re protecting you… like…” Trent took a second to find a good analogy for Rachel, before smiling and looking at Axl “Like how Axl protects you.”

Her voice softened as she now sounded like herself, as she looked at Trent’s chest “Like how Lilly protects Nebby?”

Trent smiled and chuckled. “Yes, like how Lilly protects Nebby.”

Rachel looked at Trent’s face as she gave a soft grin and said, quietly “pew pew!” (She was making the sound Cosmog makes in Pokemon SM/USUM)

Trent smiled as he looked at the girls. “We’re going to play Motor Racer III” He told the three.

The girls acknowledged it as Rachel went onto the next song, EXPURGATION. She looked at her friends and said with a wink “I hope my fat doesn’t fall off my head.”

Confused, Barbara and Ruth gave each confused looks, not sure what she meant by that…. Whatever. It was Rachel slowly coming out of her grey turtle shell.

After Expurgation was done, Rachel went to turn to her friends to offer them a turn on DDR, but noticed that the girls were talking to some people she didn’t know. She quickly returned to her quiet secluded self and chose her last song, Nerves (from Smoke ‘Em Out Struggle).

When her song ended, she had finished her three uses of her token, (if I recall correctly, on arcade versions of DDR, you have three uses per token) So she took out her flash drive, when the machine told her to, and looked at her friends, who were still chatting away with the strangers.

At this point, Rachel was thirsty. She didn’t want to sound rude and interrupt her friend’s chatter, but she couldn’t walk up to the area where they had drinks and such. The arcade had a huge sign on their door that said that their soda machine broke. The only thing Rachel could do now was go to the next door gas station and buy herself a drink. Without saying a word, Rachel wandered out of the arcade, telling the lady at the desk she would be back soon.

Outside the noisy arcade came the tranquility of the night. Rachel loved the quiet city noises, as she took a deep breath and sighed heavily. She started to walk to the gas station next door.

But as she got into the dark corners of the arcade, she felt something cold and hard hit her in the back of the head, rendering her unconscious…

###

“Alright! Talk to you later!” Barbara shouted excitedly, as Ruth and Barbara’s classmates left the two girls and the Pitbull alone. The girls turned to look at the DDR machine, Barbara apologizing first. “Sorry about, Ra--- wait… where’s Rachel???” Barbara soon realized that the quiet teen was no longer playing DDR, and that it was an adorable kid in a grey cat costume who was occupying the DDR game.

“Uh…. We should tell Trent that we lost her.” Ruth said, as she grabbed Barbara’s wrists and started to drag her to the bike arcade machines, where Trent and Kyle said they were going. Barbara quickly revolted against that idea.

“No! NO! NO!

“Barbara! It’s better if we tell the truth!” Ruth explained, continuing to literally drag the younger, but taller, girl across the arcade. Ruth had to tell Trent ASAP.

Chapter 2

A mother is looking for her missing child, for time is something they don’t have.

Pain danced in her head, as an electronic voice spoke in a whisper. She knew it wasn't Solace, but rather her old device partner, Techno…

Techno… why was he here?

Ah- that's right, she asked to borrow him for an important mission- but she didn't tell Tech what that mission was.

“Brown! Are you awake yet?” The voice finally cleared up.

“Yeah. I'm awake now…what happened?”

“some giant monster broke the elevator, i was able to scan it and you! You may have a mild concussion- and I advise you to-” Techno's droning was no worse than Solace, but like Solace, Rachel was able to silence Techno by calling out to him.

“Techno, i can't rest right now. My daughter is in grave danger and i can't let a concussion slow me down- just… continue to monitor me.”

Rachel got up and looked around her surroundings. The elevator laid on the floor, dented and very much unusable. There was also a dent on the floor where the monster once laid, but it seemed that it had fled.

Techno's voice piped out of the earpiece Solace gave Rachel before the mission. “We have more bad news! Communication to the hunter base has been lost!”

“That's fine.” She said, as she proceeded down the hall, and out to a big empty room. It had multiple doorways to different rooms across from the platform she stood on, as well as a reinforced metal that spanned around 15’ in length. Each door had a different symbol on a sign, that hung above the entrance, each with a different sector. There was one sector that caught Techno’s eyes.

“Brown! Overthere! A coms sector! We can use that to contact the hunter base!”

Rachel silently agreed, as she used the bridge controls to manuver it to the coms sector and proceeded to walk through the doors and was greeted with frantic writings on the walls.

For a mother is looking for her missing child, time is a delicate matter…

The sound of military boots tapped on the wooden floor, as a flash light illuminated the path of the abandoned kindergarten. Her eyes were hyper focused on the area around her, her mind clear and ready to take on the task to explore this small kindergarten.

“Brown!” A voice spoke up in her ear piece that rested behind her hair. “I found a map of the Kindergarten! I’m sending it to your main device!”

Rachel Brown, a darkness hunter* from another universe**, had enrolled her five year old daughter to the BanBan Kindergarten. After Rachel was involved in a serious work-related incident, husband and her husband, Sanford, had decided to enroll their child into the Colorful Kindergarten, as a way to protect her from the horrors of her parents' work. However, she didn’t realize that yet again, her daughter would be roped into her job once more. as none of the kindergarten staff hadn’t answered not only her calls, but the calls of Sanford, his friends as well as her commanders and friends.

(*The Darkness Hunter are a government organization created to protect the lives of Humans, Monsters and digital beings called Device Partners. ** Rachel Brown is from a dark universe where the Darkness Hunters were cruel and unjust.)

“Great.” Rachel Brown replied, as she grabbed a red device that had patched up cracks, and turned on the holo-screen of the device. The map of the very small kindergarten illuminated the room brighter than her flashlight. It left a pin-point as to where she was in the small building.

“Just one question…” Her “navigator”, Rachel Solace Medic, piped up, confusion and stupidity lined her voice. “why is it spelled with a T and not a D? Isn’t it a kinder-garDEN and not a kinder-garTEN?!”

“Solace… It's spelled correctly on the map. The way you know the word is a common misspelling of kindergarten.” Brown replied, with motherly annoyance in her tone. She began to walk through the lobby of the kindergarten, looking around the place cautiously.

“Oh… OH! I see! Sorry! I thought it was always spelled kinder-garDEN!” Solace announced.

Rachel Solace, a darkness hunter and the leader of the Zero Squad. She often goes by solace, to not get mixed by the other four Rachels. She usually gets into the heat of the fights, the type to act first and then think during battles, unlike Rachel Brown, who is strategic while fighting. She also tends to let her mouth run before speaking. Rachel Brown had contacted Solace to help her with the investigation. While Solace might look and act like an idiot, she is pretty smart and knows when to call shots.

“Just focus on the mission, Solace. We’re here for one reason and one reason only.” Brown announced, while checking a computer for any clues. However, she muttered a silent german profanity after the computer failed to boot up. However, the blue keycard caught her attention and she pocketed it.

“Okay, so left to you is an electrical room. Right is a lovely small cafeteria-”

“I can see the map, Solace” Brown interrupted Solace’s monologuing, as she walked towards the cafeteria. She suddenly stopped and noticed one of the murals. A green dinosaur was seen painted on the wall, with the name “Jumbo Josh” written underneath his tail. The most notable feature about Jumbo Josh was his large hands- which reminded Rachel of the “fists” of the Crushing Wyvern, brachydios. A speech bubble was coming out of his mouth, with the text stating “Eat vegetables and fruits to become strong, LIKE ME!”

Rachel Brown stared at the dinosaur for a moment before the voice of her friend filled her ears, as her face came on the holoscreen of the device, looking at the mascot on the wall. “That's… one of the mascots of the kindergarden… right?”

“Correct, his name is Jumbo Josh. He feels…”

“Uncanny? Weird… Almost like a monstie?” Rachel asked, interrupting the older one. Rachel Brown took a deep breath as she replied.

“Yeah… something like that…” She slowly replied, as she ran her hand over the painting of Jumbo Josh. She’d expected one of her powers to activate, however, her ability to see the past or future did not activate. She sighed, as she continued her way to the cafeteria. Like the lobby, it too was empty.

Sighing at the lack of people, she continued down the hallway. As she passed the Jumbo Josh mural, another mural caught her attention, this time featuring a small handful of mascots. Rachel knew the names of most of them- from her daughter’s obsession over the characters. Jumbo Josh, the dinosaur, BanBan and Bambalina, the cat like creatures (though, to Brown, they looked more like demons) Opila Bird the Emu-looking bird, Captain fiddles, a small goblin-like creature with mermaid features, and finally Stinger Flynn, a pirated themed man-o-war jellyfish. She remembered hearing how her daughter hated going to the Stinger Flynn room, how the puppet always scared her. She preferred the Ophilia Bird puppet.

“Brown? Do you read me?” Rachel Solace barked, snapping Brown back to reality. “Brown? Are you sick? Poisoned? Pricked by a deadly plant that the only cure of the plant is the-”

“I’m fine, Solace.” Brown hissed,as she looked back over the wall of mascots. “I’m… I’m fine… I was just… reminiscing about… her… I’m fine.” She tried to reassure herself with a shake of her head.

“I’m just making sure you are alive and well. So that's the mascots of BanBans?” Solace asked, as she looked at the wall mural.

“Correct. They have mascots to make the place look friendly. It’s like Amandas and her “bubble dragons”” Brown explained, as she turned to continue to check the place out. As she approached the room that said “Creativity center.” Brown took the blue key card she pocketed earlier and used it on the door, making it open, and was greeted by a strange creature.

“... Hello?!” Brown called out, pointing her flashlight at the creature, literally cop-lighting the strange being. Obviously, no one- especially strange and unfamiliar creatures, hated to be cop-lighted, as it squawked loudly and retreated.

“What was it!?” Solace asked, as she looked down the hall via the holo-screen.

“I don’t know… but it looked like an Iodrome mixed with a Kulu Ya Ku…” She paused, as she shook her head, and reached out to grab her gun “I have a bad feeling about this.”

“Stay on your toes. I’m going to try and hack into any nearby cameras. BE CAREFUL!”

Brown nodded, as she continued down the hallway, heading to where the creature was seen, her gun at the ready. As she entered the room, a series of bright lights turned on, nearly blinding the hunter. Laying in the center of the room was a sleeping monster, protecting some eggs. It clicked with her, this giant bird monster was Opila Bird, her daughter’s favorite. Brown quietly sneaked past the room with Opila but… something was amiss. This “Ophilia Bird” looked similar to the monster she saw before entering… But there is no way a creature could run away that fast and fall asleep in the same amount of time it took for her to get there. Something else struck her as odd- the texture of the creature.

“Everything has a texture” The words of the Autistic Rescue Hero ran through her thoughts. She wasn’t wrong, as this “Ophilia Bird” had an…. interesting texture. If Meirs was around, she would say that the texture looked like “A wet newborn chicken that rolled in a feather-pillow.”

She continued to look around the room, remembering the first time she brought her daughter here. It was full of life, with the mixture of screaming and shouting- along with the occasional staff member trying to stop a fight between kids.

“Brown, I found a security room. I can't hack into the computers, but maybe you can!” Solace startled Rachel, but the older one didn’t say anything. She grabbed her device and checked the map, seeing the room highlighted on her device.

“Roger that, I’ll head up that way.” She said, looking at Ophilia Bird, before walking away from the playground.

Rachel entered the security room, and looked around to see the computers. Most of them didn’t power up- however, there was a lucky survivor. As she logged into the computer, she noticed a folder containing files about the children and staff at the daycare. She took out one of her devices and plugged it into the computer.

“Solace, I got some files for you to sort through.” Rachel Brown unplugged the device from the computer and sighed, as the computer blue screened and crashed. “And read me the staff files. Mostly on Uthman Adam.”

“Utha-mon?” Solace asked. “Well okay… It says here that Uthaman is a principle, that he plans on bringing a smile to “every child’s face.” Brown, there's not much info on Utha-mon- Man, why does he sound like a-”

“Focus, Solace. There's nothing in the records that can give us more information?” Brown had once again interrupted the younger one.

“Nein. there is nothing. Not even a cookie crumb of help.”

Brown sighed heavily. This whole case was getting to her. She couldn’t find her daughter, there were monsters of unknown hostility, and she assumed that her best friend and partner wasn’t taking this too seriously. But she had to stay calm. She knew going into a blind rage wouldn’t help the situation any.

“Hold on- Brown! Eleven o’clock sharp!” Before Solace could finish her warning, Brown looked up to see the Ophilia Bird, its pose hinted to Brown that the large bird was hunting- and she was the prey.

Brown carefully waited for the bird to slowly approach her left, anticipating its every move. She gripped the table the computers sat at, waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Ophilia turned the corner and began to rush the mother, but wasn't expecting her to quickly slide under the table and rush out the door swiftly. Rachel ran down the hall as fast as her human form could go- so it was time to surprise the bird.

With a graceful diving jump, Rachel glowed and her human flesh was soon replaced with fur- her hands and feet had morphed into paws, and her face became dog-like, with rabbit looking ears emerging from the back of her head. The final piece of the transformation was a long, slender tail, that curved to look like a slice of a mushroom.

Rachel landed on all four paws and continued to out run the bird. Something within her told her to go to the ball pit, so she did so. As she reached the ball pit, she had jumped onto a wall and latched herself onto the wall with her claws digging into the drywall of the ball pit.

She slowly blinked back to reality, as she looked over to see the Ophilia Bird falling into the hole of the ball pit, squawking as her bright pink feathers were swallowed by the darkness.

“Brown! Brown! Are you okay?!” She heard her friend's words, this time, she had genuine concern in her voice.

“Y-yeah. I'm… alive.” Was all she could whisper out. She slowly climbed off the wall and looked at the ball pit carefully, noticing the broken floors. Jack and Rip would both have a field day with the structure of this floor. She thought, as she noticed the broken trap door. She stood up and returned to her human form.

“Brown, there's a worker's elevator! I’ll place it on your map!” Solace said, calmly.

Brown nodded, as she took her device, looked at it and headed to where the elevator was.

“Brown…?” Solace asked, like a scared daughter worried for her mother. Brown replied with a hum, which was her subtle way to tell solace to continue with her question “what… what did you see?”

Brown sighed deeply. Whenever she blacked out like that, she usually saw something. However,She didn't remember what she saw. “... I'm not sure…. It's fuzzy…”

Solace wanted to press on, but knew not to. The mission is important, and they need to focus on finding the missing children. Brown eventually reached The office, and with one swift kick, she broke down the door. Her eyes widened as she realized that the office belonged to Uthman.

She began to rummage through his office, checking not only his computer, but files. She wanted to know who Uthman really was. But not much came from it. All she could find was a plane ticket, and some PhDs, which didn't strike her as odd and rather put more ease knowing a doctor was probably with the kids.

The click of a locked door surprised her as she looked up and to the now opened door. “That's your golden ticket to the elevator!”

Brown nodded, as she walked into the room which was unusually large. She glanced around “Solace…where's the ele-” but she was cut off by part of the floor receding, and a worker's elevator slowly rising up. “Oh how cliché…” She grumbled, as she got into the elevator, and had it sent down.

As she waited for the elevator to go down, her device beep. she looked at it to see another map. “I found this in Uthamon's computer! And more cameras!”

“Great job.” Brown complimented her with a smile. She could feel the beams of happiness radiating from her ear piece as she heard Solace humming. but all joy was short lived, as a large, green brachydios fist grabbed the elevator. The creature was about to reveal itself when the elevator began to creak and moan. And with a loud snap, the elevator began to fall a lot faster than expected, which caught both Rachel Brown and the creature off guard, and caused the both of them to fall towards the blackened abyss. The last words she heard were “Brown?! BROWN! WHAT’S-”

###

“GOING ON?! BROWN! BROWN!” Rachel Solace frantically shouted at her microphone that sat on her desk. She was spotting for Rachel Brown in the comfort of her room in the darkness hunter base. She looked at her computer monitor, the last thing Brown saw was a lime green fist reaching out for her before coms were lost. She pounded her fist on the desk before jumping up and running out of the room.

She ran into a semi busy hunter base, shoving past a humanoid cat hunter. She weaved past both Humans and monsters before reaching the commander's quarters and flinging the door open.

“Commanders! We have a situation!”

For a mother is looking for her missing child, time is a delicate matter…

The soft sound of hooves echoed through the valley as Matt Medic and his daughter, Rachel Solace, rode horseback through the unfamiliar land of TalVarloren. The sun was dimming the path, making it hard for the doctor to see; however, his daughter was able to see well in the dark thanks to her moonlain “curse.”

“We should stop and stay the night at the next village,” Matt suggested, as he guided his horse next to Rachel’s horse.

“‘Kay,” Rachel replied with just one word, a sign that she was getting tired. The next village wasn’t far from where they were, as it was just a few miles away.

The second sign of Rachel’s exhaustion was her body language- her ears and tail drooped down, her posture was stooped, and she was extremely quiet. Matt chuckled to himself as he commanded his horse, Clopper, to go up a gait. Rachel soon followed suit, grunting softly and giving her horse, Scout, a gentle poke with her foot.

Soon, the two got to the little mountain village with little to no electricity. It felt like a new world to the two, as they had came from the big city. The only thing that seems like home is the fact that the villagers use monsters and creatures to help with their daily tasks.

Rachel and Matt got off their horses and sent them back to the land of Hyrule, with Rachel’s portal to the royal land, and proceeded to walk through the busy yet quiet village, with the daylight soon fleeting them.

Like clockwork, Rachel’s energy was renewed as she looked around the village with excitement. “Rachel,” Matt said softly to her. “If you want, you can talk to the villagers. I’ll go on ahead to the inn and get us a room.”

“Yes, sir!” Rachel shouted excitedly as she saluted him. With a nod of their heads, the father and daughter duo split up and took off in two different directions.

Rachel approached a middle-aged woman, who was wearing a blue dress, white apron and a cute blue bonnet. She looked at the woman with curiosity before waving. “Good evening!”

The woman looked up at the young beast woman and smiled. “Oh, good evening, dear. Are you a traveler?” The woman asked Rachel as she put her broom to the side.

“Yup.” Solace nodded, as she wagged her tail.” My father, Matt Medic, and I, Rachel Medic, are… well… traveling medics. We-”

The woman’s face suddenly lit up, as if her prayers were answered. “Medics?! Oh, thank goodness! Are you here in regards to the mysterious illness that has plaguing our country of TalVarloren?”

“Yes, ma’am.” Solace nodded. “We were on our way to the capital when… well…” Solace paused, the words were hard for her to say. “The sun… the light. The sun was setting and making it hard for my father and I to see.” She lied. She knew she could see well in the dark. Her father, however, not so much.

“Oh, I see. Well, if you do find out what is causing our illness, will you please let us know… and give us a cure?” The woman asked, worry slowly appearing on her face.

“Will do. We don’t plan to tell any other doctors until this country has the cure.” Rachel reasured. “I know how scummy other doctors are.” Though it was hard to tell, her face went pale. “Scummy bunch.”

The woman laughed. “Well it seems like you have some experiences, Ms. Medic. I hope you enjoy our little town of Wildnisstadt! If you ever need anything, you are free to come to my little bakery. My name is Yalecia.”

“I’m Rachel Medic” Rachel said, forgetting that she already introduced herself. “It’s uh pleasure to meet you.” She paused before waving “Well, I uh.. Better go. Have uh… nice day!” She shouted, with a wave. The woman giggled, as she saw the young beast take off.

Rachel ran into the inn her father was staying at, as her father was paying the clerk up front with some information about various medicianal herbs. “Father!” Rachel shouted excitedly.

Matt turned and looked at his daughter. “Oh, Rachel, you’re back.” he said, glad to see her. Rachel ran and hugged her father, her tail wagging. He continued. “I got us a room,” Matt began to say, which room they were in, but she paid no attention to what he said, and instead looked around the little quaint inn. Matt placed a hand on Rachel’s shoulder, smiled and lead her to the room they were sleeping in.

The next morning, Rachel woke up and ran out of the inn, excitement building within her. As she ran towards a popular lookout point in the city, she happily greeted Yalecia, who was at her store sweeping. “Good morning Ms. Yalecia!” Rachel cried out.

“Morning, Ms. Medic!” Yalecia replied. As the moonlain girl fled her sights, something within Yalecia changed. She suddenly dropped the broom, and started to follow after her, slowly.

Rachel reached the lookout point, her eyes glimmering. What she heard about the village’s forest lookout point wasn’t wrong. The colorful forest that edged the city glistened in the morning sun’s light. Its beauty had stolen the moonlain girl’s attention. That was until she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around to see the city folk, slowly staggering towards her, their eyes vacant of any light.

Fear quickly set in her chest, as she thought she had nowhere to go. That was when she looked down the cliff that the Forest Lookout stood upon- a fountain laid at the bottom. With no other choice, she jumped over the railing and landed in the fountain with a harsh thud. Her ankle screamed in pain, but she ignored it, as she rushed through the village streets. As she rushed through the streets, she glanced around to see other villagers wearing the same vacant expression… and then… she saw her father, with the same expression as the rest of the townsfolk. Her eyes widen, as she kept running, looking for a safe place.

She took a sharp left into a little alleyway, before skidding to a stop and quickly hiding behind some boxes, her heart was pounding in her ears. She peeked over the boxes, seeing if anyone was coming after her, unaware of the individual behind her.

Rachel was surprised by the sudden attack, as a giant blade attacked her from behind, causing her to collapse. Dazed and slightly stunned from the opening attack, Rachel turned around to see a woman, about her size, hovering above her. Rachel gasped as she backflipped, dodging another one of the woman’s attacks. Rachel retaliated with an attack of her own, as a blast of hot fire from her mouth. The woman blocked the attack and launched her sword. The moonlain backflipped to dodge the attack but slip and fell at the landing, due to her injured ankle.

Rachel looked up at her attacker, eyes voided of much empathy. With one final breath, Rachel closed her eyes and awaited the killing blow… and like always, she felt no pain from that final attack…

Her body collapsed but made no sound, as she landed in the arms of a person standing behind her. A tall man, that was leaning to match her hight, with a syringe in his other hand. His face was hard to read, due to the brown paper bag over his head.

“Doctor?” The woman asked, though her voice was soft, it carried little emotion, though not totally robotic.

“Hmmm.” The Doctor pondered, as he carefully placed the beast on her back and carefully examed her. “She doesn’t seem to be effected by the strange phenomenon that plagued this city…” He paused before picking her up again and cradling her in one arm. “Let us take her back and await for her awakening”

“Am I still alive?” was the only question that lingered in her mind, as the sound of voices pulled her out of what could only be described as an endless darkness. As she wandered aimlessly through the darkness, a bright light came from behind her and filled her comforting shadows with the overstimulating white. Rachel covered her eyes as she winced from the harsh light. While her eyes adjusted to the bright light, the shadow of a young teen boy stood in front of her.

“Oh I’m sorry, is the light too much for you? Though I suppose a creature with fur that is dark as night can’t handle the bright lights- though I suppose thats just your species. Strange that you are neither human nor gear, though I could categorize you as an animal yet you don’t seem to be like an animal because you have a mind of your own and you do not lack the stupidity of most if not all animals. Well I have an animosity towards long and boring conversations. The spotlight is on you, so entertain me, what exactly are you?!”

Rachel sighed, “For someone who hates long and boring conversations…” Her defeated look turned into a scowl “You sure love to monologue… I’m a moonlain! And next time, don’t ramble so much! I have the attention span and memory of a goldfish, maybe shorter. And who-”

Before she could continue the boy laughed “Oh you’re so funny. Well your little harmless theory about goldfish is false because they do not have a nine-second attention span, like most human suggests, and they also have a memory that lasts up to five months. Though with the rise of what people call “brainrot”, humans are starting to have short attention spans. Tell me, Ms. Moonlain, you implied that you have a short attention span, but is it because you watch too much TV? Or maybe because you seek something more… exciting?” The boy paused, almost as if he was waiting for Rachel’s response.

Frustrated, Rachel sighed out loud. “Do you like hearing your own voice?! Did your parents not give you enough attention so now you wander the Soul Realm, looking for people to harass with your vernacular?” Rachel walked up to the boy, shoved him aside, and continued walking before stopping and glaring at him. “Look, none of that matters! I just want to know who you are! Oh and the name is Rachel! Not moonlain!”

The boy laughed once more, still amused by Rachel. “Well, since you're desperate to get answers, I will simply say no. This is not your so-called “Soul Realm.” Unless that is what you call your dreams. As for your state of being, you are very much alive, as well as being asleep. The little scrap you had with Ms. Ramathal Valantine was not as painful as you had perceived. Perhaps the anxiety of losing someone you love made you.. Well… weak. Plus, the final blow you were expecting was just a simple anesthetic. As for my name, you may refer to me as Bedman. A-” Bedman suddenly stopped as Rachel laughed at his name. He turned to Rachel and glared at her. “What is so funny?!”

“Bed-man?!” Rachel said mid-laugh. “I’m sorry, out of all of the people and big baddies I’ve faced, Bedman just takes the cake! What are you?! Some sleeping robot master?!”

Bedman glared at Rachel as he shrugged, “I’m sure you’ve fought plenty of adversaries with ridiculous names, I should assure you that I am not here to have a little fight, but rather I was asked to watch over you.”

Rachel’s eyes narrowed as she glared at Bedman. “Who? Who sent you to watch over me?!”

Before Rachel’s question was answered, Bedman vanished and the white room suddenly went pitch black again.

Rachel opened her eyes slowly, greeted by a man wearing a paper bag over his head. Rachel gasped as she scrambled to sit up, statled by the man.

“Woah, woah! It’s okay, Ms. Rachel Solace!” The man calmly spoke up. Rachel froze at the sound of her own name. She recognized that voice before.

“Doctor… Doctor Faust?” She softly asked, looking up and down at the man. It clicked with her that she was in his clinic… but she didn’t know where his clinic was. The soft click of the door alerted both the Doctor and Rachel, as she looked to the door, but the doctor didn’t even bat an eye at the door- or so it seemed. The person at the door was none other than- “B-brown?!” Rachel cried out in shock.

“Hey, Kiddo.” Brown said, softly. “How are you feeling?”

Rachel thought about it, she wanted to tell them about “Bedman”, the boy in her dream. But she figured it was just a weird dream and had no meaning. “Fine.”

Faust stood up and clapped his hands. “We shall see how fine you are. Ready for some tests?” He asked, the eye-hole he had on his bag glistened with a shine of excitement.

Rachel pinned her ears back, as she looked at brown. Rachel Brown walked up to faust and tried to placed her hand on his shoulder, but could only reach his lower back. “Faust, don’t overwhelm her with tests, especailly mental ones… those stress her out.”

Faust shook his head “I wasn’t planning on giving her a mental evaluation. I was going to give her one more of her style… A fighting evaluation.”

Rachel’s ears perked up, as she jumped out of the bed and harshly landed on her ankle. But she couldn’t feel any pain from her ankle. Either way, she couldn’t ignore a fight- especially one to test her fighting skills. Brown looked at Rachel with worry and ran to her. “Rachel Ella Solace Medic! Slow down, your ankle-!”

“No need to worry about that!” Faust reassured Brown. “I treated that while you were away” Faust then turned to Solace, ignoring the look of concern on Brown’s face. “So, Ms. Solace, are you ready?” He asked, as his trusty scalpel appeared out of nowhere and into his hand. He then knelt down, making sure it was a fair fight for the 5’3 beast, while Rachel brown backed away, as to not get in the middle of their training.

Rachel smirked as she summoned her sword and ran toward faust. The sound of their weapons clanged against each other, Rachel smirked as she used her tail to grab hold of faust’s knee. In a flash she dropped her sword and grabbed onto the blade of his scalpel, causing faust to try and stand up, and fling her off. Her tail slipped off of his knee, but she knew what to do next- swing off of his scapel and kick him in the chest.

“Wuff!” Faust grunted, as he had two paws slam into his chest. “Alright, thats enough!” He said. Rachel Brown looked at faust, with a smug “I told you so” look, but knew he wasn’t looking. “It seems that you’re still capable of fighting.”

Rachel smirked as she let go of faust’s weapon and did a backflip before standing straight up. “So what’s the meaning of all this? Why did you want to test my fighting skills?”

“We need you, Sols.” Brown said, as she walked up to the younger one. “Your world is in danger… Theres some kind of… virus… going on.” She explained

“Or so we theorize that its a virus. We do know a common symptom though; slow and exaderated movements, almost similar to a zombie.” Faust added on

“However, when they find their target, they seem to get extremly fast. But what their target is… that’s just a mystery.” Rachel brown paused before sighing, and looking back up at Rachel Solace. “You and Dr. Matt… you were in the land of TalVarloren, researching a mysterious illness, right?” Solace silently nodded, as Brown continued. “Did either one of you treat anyone yet?”

“No… We had just settled in the little village of Wildnisstadt when, in the morning, they had started acting strange… including…” Solace paused, as she looked down at the ground, an image flashed in her mind of her father wearing the vacant expression that the others had. Voice shaking, she uttered the words. “Including father… and then… I was attacked….”

Rachel Brown softened her expression, as she saw the joyful spark in her eyes slowly went away. “It’s alright, Rachel… That woman that attacked you… She’s with us. Her name is Ramlathal Valintine”

Rachel looked up, a bit confused. “Ramlathal?”

Rachel Brown nodded “Yeah, we had to send her after you… To make sure you weren’t infected yet… And you passed that… though I do apologize”

Rachel smiled and shook her head “No, no, its fine. I understand. If my ankle wasn’t hurting earlier, I would of enjoyed it.” She laughed

Brown straightened up her back and smiled “Well, thats good. Well then, one last thing. Darkness Hunter Squad Commander Rachel Ella “Zero” Solace Medic, would you assist us in finding a cure for this mysterious illness. Will you accept this Mission?”

Solace looked up, the spark in her eyes returning, as she stood up straight and went straight into a salute. “As the Squad Commander of the Zero Company, I, Darkness Hunter Rachel “Zero” Solace Medic accept the mission!”

Rachel Brown nodded, as she turned to Faust. “Doctor Faust, as an eyewitness to this, you are obligated to alert any offical darkness hunters and/or their affiliates if questions arise about this mission and the members are involved.”

Faust, who was watching the whole mission statement, nodded. “Alright, Ms. Brown.”

Rachel Solace laughed as she deflated her serious stance. “Are you seriously trying to be this offical?”

“Hey, its standard protocol. Besides, you’re in my world.” Rachel Brown said plainly. “I’m the Commander of the Rising D-Hunters.” She smiled. “When Sanford and I aren’t working for your Darkness Hunters, we’re rebuilding the Darkness Hunters here. We had to change the name so the civilians aren’t scared of us.”

“I see.” Rachel Solace said with a nod. “So, what is my first mission?” Rachel asked, looking around the room.

Rachel Brown laughed. “Well, we don’t have a full mission yet, however I want you to explore Revival City.”

“Revival City?” Solace asked, as she turned to Brown and tilted her head. “So… your Neo Heart City is called Revival City?”

Brown laughed softly “Its… still growing.”

Solace nodded, as she walked up to the door, but was stopped by Faust. “Wait!” Faust darted to the door and opened it. Through the door was a glimpse of Revival City, which freaked Solace out.

“Wait?! We’re IN Revival city?!” Solace shouted

“No.” Brown sighed. “That’s just one of Faust’s special abilities. Its no diffrent than our portal abilites.” Brown explained. “He has a strange way of creating portals.”

Solace nodded as she walked through the door and into the city.

As she walked out of the floating magical door, large damaged buildings surrounded her. As she stared at the buildings, the door behind her closed and disappeared, which startled Rachel at first, but she got used to it rather quickly.

Rachel couldn’t help but stare at the various marks that the buildings had- from burn and magical damages to large slashes that nearly sliced buildings in two. She began to wander through the city, exiting the forest of wounded buildings and entered the new and unfamiliar district of Revival City.

The red riolu sprung off of the tower, Jack in her arms. Lightning bolts hit the tower at that exact moment. Various flying type pokemon were too scared to fetch Omega. However, a black streak swooped up the red riolu holding the sandslash.
“That was a close call, Rachel.” A familiar voice called out to Omega. Omega looked up to see William, as he gave the red riolu a gentle smile. Jack soon came to, as he looked around. “What happened?” He muttered.
Schatten flew to Commander Shadow as the team watched the tower as it lit up. Everyone was in awe as the lightning hit the ice and the ice quickly climbed up the tower, covering the tower in a thick layer of ice. But… what about the storms? Were they stopped? The team glanced up at the sky to see a sapphire blue peeking out of the red storms clouds. Soon, the clouds revealed the most beautiful night sky anyone has witnessed. A loud cheer came from everyone as they all cheered.
“YES!” Rocky shouted, jumping in excitement. Matt silently nodded as he had a smile on his face.
“Jack! You did it!” William shouted at the sandslash. Omega shook her head no. “No, William. It wasn’t Jack alone who saved the world. The whole world saved itself!” Omega said. Schatten cawed in agreement.

At PKNN News, Kaycee was wrapping up her report. “And now that the world is at piece, everyone can relax and take a breather. That is all from PKNN News. Have a great night and stay safe!” Kaycee said.
“CUT!” An Electivire shouted. “Okay, Kaycee, you may head home now!” he said.
Kaycee sighed as she got off of her stool and went to leave to go home. Tony had already left the building to head home, or so Kaycee thought. Until she was stopped by someone who called out her name. “Kaycee?” Kaycee turned around to see Tony behind her holding a small white box. “Kaycee… Happy birthday.” Tony said, with a smile as he held out the small box to her. Kaycee took the box and opened it, revealing a pair of goggles. Tears filled her eyes as she started to cry “Tony… these goggles… I thought you broke them?!”
Tony shook his head yes. “I did but I got them repaired for you, Co-là breith sona, piuthar bheag.” He said with a smile, as he told Kaycee Happy Birthday in Scots Gaelic. Kaycee cried as she hugged her best friend. But the moment was short lived as a woman interrupted. “Ummm… Tony? May I tell you something?” the woman asked.
Tony and Kaycee turned towards the gothitell woman, her injuries were clear now that she wasn’t wearing make-up. “What is it, Sara?” Tony asked.
“Tony… Thank you… for what you said earlier. I told Airpona what was on my mind and he tried to beat me up again, but thankfully Kelli saw the abuse and stopped him… Thank you, Tony.”
Tony smiled as he nodded. “You’re welcome, Sara…”

Omega was in sick bay, her father doing a quick check-up on his daughter. Omega felt bad for not telling anyone how she was feeling. A pain lingered in her heart. She knew she hurt her friends, even if it wasn’t physically.
The door to the sick bay opened, as William walked in. “Omega, I already talked to Rocky about today’s mission…” William started. Omega pinned her ears downs, as she looked away from the infernape, knowing what she did was wrong “While I am proud of you for grounding him… I’m also disappointed in you for not tell anyone you’re sick… even though you told Chatot and Soul about your wound.”
“I know… What I did today was wrong… I guess I should go clean a jet.” Omega said with a sigh. “And give everyone an apology…”
William shook his head “No, Omega. However… I want you and Rocky in mission control soon, I think a good leader should talk to their team-mates about the mission.” William said with a smile as a he walked off. Omega and her father looked at each other as Matt nodded approvingly.

Minutes later, Rocky and Omega walked into Mission Control, confused at why William ordered each other in. William looked at Rocky then Omega, giving her a nod of approval. Omega took a deep breath as she started. “Rocky… Thank you… for saving my life… Soul told me everything, even how you were determined to save my life… and um… I know I was being rough on you… because you put others in grave danger because you wanted to be a leader… but ummm.” Omega rubbed the back of her head, as she let out another deep sigh. “I also put others at risk, mentally and physically.”
Rocky gave Omega a confused look. “What do you mean, Omega?”
“She put the others at risk because she didn’t tell anyone that she was getting weaker.” William explained.
“Rocky, I hope you accept my deepest apologies!” Omega said, doing a formal bow. “I’m so sorry, Rocky!”
“I forgive you, Omega.” Rocky said, with a gentle smile.”
William chuckled “Actually, you two are now Mission Select Leader Rocky Cannon and Mission Select Leader Omega Medic!” William said with a smile. The two eyes widened as they were surprised by what William said.
“Wait?! Do you mean it?!” Rocky asked. Omega was also surprised too. She was only filling in for William for the day. “I… I promise I won’t let any of you down again!” Rocky said. Omega nodded. “Me too!”
“I believe the both of you.” William said, as both Omega and Rocky heard a group of clapping behind them. Confused, they turned around to see the whole team applauding for Omega and Rocky. Omega and Rocky nodded as Omega gave William a big hug.
“ALRIGHT! Mission Select Team Leader Canyon, Ready for duty!” Rocky said as he kicked the soccer ball into the net. “Yeah!”
The End!

In Greenland, Jack was commanding the other pokemon, as they were building the largest lightning rod that was ever created. Various steel beams were carefully put up by different pokemon; the guild pokemon, the fire rangers, various pokemon teams, even the pokemon that were rescued in North Dakota were helping out. The Tetris-styled stack of steel beams looked like a tower, so the pokemon called it “The Tower”
Jack continued commanding the pokemon until he noticed someone behind him. He glanced behind himself to see a giant black Arceus standing, along with a large Zoroark with metal attachments, which they both looked extremely menacingly. “Welcome to Greenland, Commander Shadow, Dr. Epsilon!” Jack greeted the two pokemon.
“Thank you Jack. I see you require our assistance?” Commander Shadow, the black Arceus, asked.
Jack nodded. “Yes, we need to build the tallest lightning rod, will you two help us?”
Epsilon smiled, as he silently rushed towards the tower to help Grossi out with a very large, metal bar. Shadow smiled “Yes, Jack. We’ll help… but it’ll only be Epsilon and I…” Jack nodded in understanding “I understand… We’re… a bit short handed too.” Jack said. Jack hesitated on telling Commander Shadow the truth, but he eventually did.

Matt and Rocky stood next to Omega, as Rocky glanced at Omega then Matt “Do… do you think we’re too late?” Rocky asked, fearing the worse. Matt also feared the worse but he tried to forget about it. “I don’t think we’re too late… but… Only time will tell…”
Forty-five minutes left until the storms collide…

“Rip!” Epsilon called out to the hard working Machoke, as the Zoroark climbed up the steel beams “Do you need an extra claw?” Epsilon asked, as Grossi hovered over to Rip and Epsilon.
Rip nodded as he handed a very large steel beam to Grossi. “I would need an octilary hybrid by now.” Rip said. Epsilon chuckled as he helped Grossi carry up the steel beam.
Commander Shadow hovered towards Sam who accidently dropped a wrench. Shadow grabbed the wrench with his mouth* and flew back up to Sam. “Here, Sam.” Commander Shadow said.

As Jack watched the progress on the tower, he heard a calm voice call out in his headset “Jack, we’re coming in!” Wendy said. Jack looked up to see the jet flying into view. Jack chuckled “Glad to hear, Wendy, but… you’re not the air-craft I was hoping for.”
“Thanks… Jack… I’m glad to hear that I’m wanted for once…” Jake replied over the headset. Jack noticed Dark Lugi flying next to the jet, holding a metal tower with her feet. Jack chuckled as he replied back “No problem, buddy, I see you brought what I wanted. Alright then.”
“Yeah… although I doubt we’ll get our damage deposit back…” Jake chuckled, as he commanded Dark Lugi to land. With a loud thud, the jet landing next to her. Jack ran up to the jet and Dark Lugi as Jake got off of Dark Lugi, Rocky, and Wendy rushing out of the jet.

In the jet, Matt decided to stay with Omega. He silently pulled up a chair and sat next to her. He silently watched over his daughter, the dark thoughts filled his mind once again. He closed his eyes and silently put his face in his paws.
But then he felt something touch his paw. He gasped and opened his eyes. To his surprise, he saw a red paw touching his light blue paw. He looked down to see Omega’s eyes opened once more. Instead of the lifeless weakened expression she had before when she opened her eyes, her eyes were filled with energy and life. “Don’t cry, daddy.” She said.
However, it was hard for Matt to not cry. Tears filled his eyes, as he gave his daughter a big hug. As the two embraced each other in a hug, Matt whispered in Omega’s ear. “Welcome home, honey…”
(Writer’s note IF YOU DO NOT FEEL SAD OVER THAT SCENE, I AM DISOWNING YOU ALL! Just joking. I care for y’all.)

The team were talking about their next plan of action, Commander Shadow and Epsilon were in the conversation too. “We should get everyone evacuated before we get that large antenna installed.” Epsilon suggested. The team nodded, as Shadow pointed out “We should hurry. If we screw this up, then there will no longer be a peaceful world for us to live in…”
“Alright then, let’s get it done!” A voice spoke out behind the group. The team turned to look at the person who spoke out. It was Omega standing behind them, her father standing next to her. The team seemed happy to see the red riolu standing there, her eyes shimmered with determination once more.
“I haven’t been this happy to see anyone since we got Granny Hammer out of that well.” Jack replied. Omega chuckled as she walked up to the group. Jack told everyone the plan “I want everyone except Jake and I, on the jet, and all personnel off of the tower.” Epsilon smirked once more as he ran towards the tower and climbed up it. Shadow chuckled “That old Zoroark is determined… I like his spunk… for a dad.”
Five minutes and fourteen seconds before the storms collide.
Epsilon was on Commander Shadow’s back as he held onto the legendary Pokémon’s neck “Everyone has been evacuated!” Epsilon said, as Shadow hovered around the tower. “Perfect! Now it’s time to put the cherry on top!” Jack said, over the headset as Jake commanded Dark Lugi to carefully place the antenna on the top of the tower. After gently placing the Antenna down, Jack transformed into his Machoke form and jumped off of Dark Lugi. Soon Jake commanded the dark Lugia to fly, towards Commander Shadow.
Jack landed on the tower and pulled out his wielding gun. Jack quickly welded the antenna. Soon, Jack was finished and was about to call for Commander Shadow to pick him up when a stray lightning bolt hit the tower and shocked Jack, causing him to turn back into his Sandslash form and fall onto a lower level of the tower. The team all gasped as everyone shouted out loud. “JACK!”
“JACK! NO!” Rocky shouted as he was about to go get Jack, however, Omega stopped him “Wait, Rocky! Let me get Jack!” She said. Her father agreed with Omega’s plan. “Omega is well rested and is more suited for this mission then the rest of us.”
Rocky nodded as he let Omega out, handing her his grappling hook. Omega took it and pointed it at a beam over Jack. Omega then grabbed onto the rope and slid down it. Once she was over the beam were Jack was at. She quickly let go of the rope and ran towards Jack. “Jack, don’t worry! I’m coming!” Omega shouted as she raced towards Jack. Epsilon shouted at her in her headset “Omega! Hurry! You have five seconds left!”
Omega nodded as she picked up the Sandslash and quickly ran to the edge of the beam.
Five… four… three… two… one… Did she and Jack make it? Is the world saved? That is for you to decide…

One Hour and Forty-two minutes until the thunderstorms collide.
It was quite a hard time for the team, especially for Matt. He quietly watched over his daughter, as he stared at her motionless body. The worst kinds of thoughts a father could have filled his head. Thoughts of ‘What if I lose my daughter’ and ‘will she ever wake up?’
Just then, Rocky peaked into the sick bay, no words said during this moment, but they knew what they were saying. Rocky glanced at Omega then back at Matt. As a silent reply, Matt shook his head no.
Rocky silently walked back to his seat, as a bolt of lightning nearly hit the jet. “Woah! If there was a time for any air races, now wouldn’t be the best time!” Rocky exclaimed
“We’re lucky this plane is grounded or we’d be a flying lightning rod!” Wendy replied. That was when, Rocky got Omega’s riddle.
“Out of many one! That’s it! We need a lightning rod!” Rocky exclaimed out loud. He immediately spoke into his head set. “I understand what Omega meant! We need to put up a lightning rod!”

Jake, Milo, and Dat’s eyes all lit up in excitement, as Jake happily bounced his tail. “That’s it! Great work rocky!” but soon the excited face turned into a look of confusion “But… You don’t happen to know how she planned to do this plan… I mean, this is Omega… and her plans can be a bit… confusing…” Jake said, as he lightly tapped the top of his head with his tail.
“Maybe we should look for a big lightning rod, and when the storm hit it… KABOOM!” Wigglytuff exactly spoke over the monitors. However, chatot shook his head no. “Nope. Too vague…” Chatot said, making Wigglytuff upset.
Jack appeared on the monitor, Soul hovering behind him. “Maybe we’re supposed do some Southern engineering and use a TV antenna or an oil derrick as the lightning rod!”
Milo shook his head “While Southern engineering is helpful in most situation, it’s not helpful in our situation. Besides, an oil derrick nor a TV antenna doesn’t have enough structure where the lightning will clash… we need something big…”
Jake sighed “And we can’t bring a lightning rod to it…” Just then, the team heard Jack softly chuckling, as he said out loud “I have an idea. If we can’t bring a lightning rod to it, then we’re going to build it!”
“What’s your plan then, Jack?” Soul asked Jack as he hovered next to the smiling Sandslash. Jack told the team his plan and how it should work. After a few minutes of planning, Jack asked Jake “Do you think you can handle that?”
Jake thought about it for a moment, then he gave a nod of approval. “It’s not going to be easy… but I think we can get it done. I’m going to contact two more teams and see if they can give back up.”
Jack and Soul both nodded and their images disappeared on the screen. Jake glanced over at a button with a shady icon on it, he tap that and spoke into the mic. “Commander Shadow? Commander Epsilon? Are you two busy? We’ll need your guys help…”

At the volcano, Rocky and Wendy were quickly climbing up the volcano, as they reached to the Overhang, now covered in igneous. It looked like a black waterfall. Rocky lead Wendy to where Omega was injured, which was like a small cavern. “Here’s were Omega got injured.” Rocky said, as he glanced into the hole before trying to reach into the hole.
“Can you see the plant?” Wendy asked, as she watched Rocky struggling to reach the plant. “No… The plant broke off when Omega scraped her leg against it. However, the root might still be in the crack.”
Wendy climbed up a little more, getting up next to Rocky “Rocky, let me get it. I can fit my paw in there.” She said. Rocky shook his head no. “No! I have to get it! I was the one who injured Omega! And I have to prove… I… I have to prove.” Rocky suddenly stop and thought about his decisions for a bit, before smiling and nodding “I have to prove when I know when someone else to be the go-to-guy!” He moved over to let Wendy try to get the plant, as he offered Wendy his paw. “You try, Wendy!”
Wendy nodded as she took his paw and moved in front of the hole “Good call, Rocky. Good call.” Wendy stuck her paw into the hole as she tried to find the plant. Her eyes lit up when she felt something. She grabbed it and pulled out her paw, while holding the plant. “I got it!”
“Great! Let’s go!” Rocky said. The two repelled themselves off the volcano and back to the jet. “Let’s go to Greenland!” Wendy exclaimed.

Rocky was in monitor control, alone, as he reviewed the footage from the volcano rescue. The way he was reviewing the footage was like in the style of Minority Report.*

(*Writer’s notes, Minority Report is a 2002 Action/Sci-fi movie based off of famed science fiction writer Philip K. Dick (please don’t spam my messages on how that is an offensive term. Dick is a nickname for Rick… I think) with the same name. The movie features Tom Cruise as the main character John Anderton. In the first draft script, Brent Piaoski mentions Minority Report... can someone take away my keyboard rights?)
Rocky silently thumbed through each clip, until he noticed one that showed Omega falling. Rocky gasped as he saw Omega get scratched in the video. “Oh man… it was my fault!” Rocky muttered to himself. He then typed on the keyboard as he spoke out loud “Chatot, Alakazam, I’m sending the image to you guys.”

“We just got the image!” Chatot replied, as he and Alakazam looked at the plant. Just then, a sunflower-like pokemon walked past them and noticed the plant “OH MY GOSH!” She shouted “THAT PLANT IS POISONOUS!”
Alakazam and Chatot turned to the pokemon to see Sunflora freaking out, other pokemon quickly turned to Sunflora, startled by the weird commotion she was causing. “Then what’s the cure for the poison then?” Alakazam asked, as if he was testing Sunflora.
“What?! Why?! What’s wrong?!” Sunflora asked in a panic. Another pokemon came up to Sunflora. It was a small pokemon that was shaped like a wind-chime, an fūrin wind-chime to be exact. “Sunflora, relax. I’m sure it’s nothing.” The sweet pokemon said.
Alakazam shook his head no. “Someone got poisoned by this plant… we need to find the cure, Chimeco.”
“Oh… well, Mr. Alakazam, the cure for the poison is the root of the plant.” Chimeco replied, sweetly.
Chatot and Alakazam both nodded “Thank you.” Alakazam replied.
“Is there an Antidote for the poison?!” Jake’s worried voice came from the monitors.
“Yes… Jake. There is an antidote.” Alakazam replied.

Back at the base, everyone, but Rocky and Soul, were in Sick Bay, worried about Omega. Milo and Dats were in a corner thinking really hard about what Omega said. Maybe a little too hard. Wendy and Ariel ran in, concerned. “How’s Omega?” Wendy asked.
“She’s fading.” Matt replied.
“And what about her message, ‘out of many one’? Have we figured it out?” Ariel asked.
Dats and Milo shook their heads at the same time. “Unfortunately not. We thought of almost every possible reason and came to the temporary conclusion of ‘That’s just Omega’s new favorite phrase’. Unless one of you have a theory to throw in.” Dats said. Milo sighed. “There’s more to that than what Dats said. I thought that she was referring to the Great Seal, where it is used at the motto… I’ve even telepathically asked Deoxys if he knew what it meant… He and Rayquaza didn’t know.” Milo said.
“Something will come… I’m sure of it.” Wendy said, as she looked at Omega. Omega looked helpless as she shivered with chills. She looked so lifeless and dull laying on that cot, unconscious. The team was used to seeing Omega full of energy… But seeing their friend like this was very painful…
Jake slammed his paws on a desk as he shouted “I need an answer, what is the cure for the poison?”
“The cure for the poison is found in the root of the plant…” Alakazam said over the monitor.
Jake nodded. “Alright, then, Wendy, Ariel, can you to get that plant?”
“Wait… Let me go too?” A voice quickly interrupted Jake.
Wendy, Ariel and Jake turned to see Rocky standing behind them, Soul hovering next to him.
“I know I’m grounded and you can ground me until I’m old and grey, but… I have to help Omega… or else I won’t be able to live with myself.” Rocky said, his ears pinned down and his tail in between his legs.
Jake nodded as he looked at Rocky. “Rocky, I want you to go with Wendy. Matt, you’re going to take Omega… We can’t waste any time with brining the antidote to Omega.”
Wendy and Rocky both quickly rushed down to the docking bay. Omega’s cot turned into a gurney and Matt quickly followed Rocky and Wendy.
“Ariel, I want you and Soul to head to Greenland… I’m not sure what to do yet… but I’m sure it’s going to require a lot of man-power.” Jake commanded. Ariel and Soul both nodded, as a light blue bracelet appeared on Ariel’s ankle, with Soul disappearing into the bracelet. Ariel ran to the docking bay. Jake ran to mission control and sat down in the chair, as he made a worldwide announcement. “This is Pokemon Hero Jake Justice. I want every team, Rescue teams, Explorer’s, even the Justice teams, to head to Greenland. That’s where all the storms are headed. If we find a solution, we need to be prepared.”
After his announcement, he got quiet. The whole base got quiet, except for the ambient noises of various computers, the timer, and the thunderstorms. Jake sighed as he looked up at the timer. Two hours and forty-three minutes remained.
Tick… Tick… Tick…

Back at the pokemon heroes’ base, Soul was watching the monitors with Rocky, as he muttered something very quiet, quiet enough that Rocky couldn’t hear Soul. Just then, their attentions were grabbed by a plea of help from Wendy. “Rocky, this is Wendy! We lost contact with Chris Partn and we can’t find the boys anywhere. Can you send help our way?” Wendy asked. But a voice quickly replied back “Cancel that request! I found the boys!”

Above the raging heat, Tony was circling over two Espurr boys, one boy waving at him while the other was using Protect.
“Alright Tony, we’re on our way, but please do not assist!” Wendy commanded Tony over his head set that he uses normally for the news group. Tony felt hopeless as he watched the two boys, a conflict burned, like the Canadian fire, with in his heart. Does he continue hovering over the boys or does he help the boys. He felt a slight tug on his ear when he heard Kaycee whispering. “Tony… please help those boys.” She told him.
Tony nodded as he started to dive down, getting into the thick of the smoke. He knew his bad ability might act up soon, as the smoke went through his nostrils and into his lungs. He started having a coughing fit before he turned into a noibat. He and Kaycee plummeted towards the hot scalding flames.

At the Guild, Chatot and Alakazam stared at the monitors, their eyes lit up in joy as they figured out one mystery “we got it!” Chatot said, happily, but then his happy face turned to a look of confusion “But… What is this metal? Is it related to Aggron? As someone who knows all 893 pokemon, not including mega pokemon, I should know this.” Chatot prattled on. Alakazam looked at the monitor and nodded “I know of it, Dr. Epsilon told me about this metal. It’s similar to the armor he uses, as it type of metal that is highly conductive.” Alakazam explained. Chatot gave Alakazam a very confused look, getting Chatot’s hint, he continued. “The dust is generating a high amount of voltage, which is creating these lighting storms.”
Chatot gasped “If those lightning storms are metallic… that means!”
Alakazam nodded as he pressed a button to communicate the pokemon heroes. “This is a Pokemon Heroes Bulletin!”

At the pokemon heroes’ base, Chatot and Alakazam were explaining to Rocky, Milo, Soul and Dats, as well as others who were out on the field. Milo nodded “I am familiar with this metal. It’s the same metal that Epsilon uses as well as the metal for the antenna for the Command Center.” Milo explained.
“It’s one of the most powerful metal to date” A female voice spoke behind the group. Everyone looked towards the voice to see Omega, Jake, and Jack behind them, before looking back at the monitors.
“Powerful is a good word to use, Omega.” Alakazam said over the monitors. “Once the storms reach to Greenland… They’ll feed off of each other’s powers then explode into a force like no one has ever seen before.”
“How much time do we have?” Omega asked.
“Five hours and forty-five minutes.” Soul replied. A timer appeared on some of the monitors with the time quickly counting down. Omega nodded, as she was about to give her next command. “Then we… we better…”
Omega felt the world spin around her, as she couldn’t tell what was going on. Questions raced through her head as her friend’s voices were distorted and muffled. She felt like she was in a dryer, being tumbled around.
Come on, Omega! Pull through! She thought. But then her world soon darkened as the last thing she remembered was collapsing on the ground.
“OMEGA?!” Rocky shouted, as the team surrounded Omega, franticly. They went to turn to Soul but he was gone. As if he left the team behind…

Back in Canada, The teams that consisted of the Fire Rangers and Pokemon Heroes raced through the hot inferno, taking out the flames that stood in their way, while racing towards the boys. Soon the team reached the boys and were surprised at what was in their paws. Even the boys looked terrified, as if Espurrs didn’t have a terrified expression in the first place. The two boys carefully held the familiar Pachirisu and Noibat duo, Kaycee and Tony.
“I guess they didn’t want to listen?” Tills asked, confused.
“Sounds almost like this old man over here!” Shou joked, pointing towards Reed.
“Put a lid on it!” Reed replied, lightly punching the Buizel/Shinx hybrid in the head. Wendy shook her head as she and Sam walked up to the boys and took Kaycee and Tony, which they were unconscious. Wendy then looked at the boys “You’re going to be okay, there’s a lake not far from here.” She said.
Kaycee and Tony soon regained consciousness as they perked up “what happened?” Kaycee asked.
“We’ll explain on the way to the lake.” Big said, as he let the boys climb onto his back.
As the teams started to head towards the lake, a large explosion was heard, startling the group and soon fire quickly surrounded them, like an ambush on the allied soldiers.
“We’re… we’re dead!” Kaycee panicked, as it was obvious that she was getting very stressed out over the fire. Wendy shook her head.
“We’re not dead, but we need a plan b!” The Ninetails said. “Our water cannons alone can’t take this much fire. And water attacks won’t work either!”
“What about Rain Dance?” Tony asked, glancing at Big Landman, the Blastoise.
“Those electrical storms cancel out Rain Dance.” Big said, shaking his no while having a look of sadness.
The teams all huddled up close to each other, when Wendy gave out a command. “Quick! The fire blankets!”
The team got under some fire blankets, as they could feel the fire slowly climb above them.

In the sick bay, Omega was semi-unconscious on a cot. Jake, Jack, Chatot* and Omega’s father, Matt Medic, who was in his Audino form, were next to Omega. Jake and Chatot were sitting on a platform next to Omega.
(*Writer’s notes Chatot flew over to the base. The guild isn’t that far from the Command Center)
Omega’s pant leg was rolled up and her wound was visible. Matt was examining her wound before looking up at Jake. “Her wound is badly infected… but I’m not sure if it’s a viral infection or something else.” He said. Jake nodded as he rubbed the back of his head, asking a question that everyone had on their mind. “Why didn’t she tell any one of us that she was sick?”
Soul appeared behind the team and said, in a saddened voice “I think I know when she got the wound.” He said, lying. He knew when she got hurt, he even knew about the poison. But he was a man of his word. He didn’t want to betray Omega. He didn’t want Omega to feel betrayed, not like how he was betrayed countless times by people he trusted. Jake, Jack and Chatot all looked at Soul, wanting to hear what he had to say. Soul continued “I think she got her wound after the Volcano Rescue.”
Matt nodded as he spoke into a microphone “Rocky, can you review the rescue footage of the volcano… We’re looking for something that scratched Omega.”
“I’m on it!” Rocky said over the microphone.
Chatot looked at Jake as he gave a saddening sigh “Jake, with Omega ailing, you’re the one in charge now…”
Jake nodded as his body language showed sadness. “Right… But I don’t have a clue how to stop these storms.” Suddenly, Jake felt a weak grip on his tail, in surprise he looked behind him to see Omega weakly holding onto his tail. “Omega? What is it?!” Jake asked, as Matt and Chatot were both shocked that Omega had a little bit of strength left to hold onto Jake’s tail. Omega weakly spoke out, leaving a cryptic message for the team. “Out… of many…. One.”
Omega soon released Jake’s tail and slipped into a coma. Matt tried to bring Omega back, while the others all looked at each other, confused and worried. “Out of many one? Do you know that means?” Jake asked.
Jack and Chatot both shook their heads no. “Great! The world is in danger and Omega is speaking in riddles! Really helpful, Rachel*, really helpful.” Jack said, in a disappointed voice.
(*Writer’s notes. Omega’s real name is Rachel. This is a slight joke/refrence to Rescue heroes the movie where in a similar scene, Jake tells Billy “Now’s not the time to be speaking in riddles, William.”)
“This is Wendy! We’re trapped in this fire! We tried radioing in for some help but all we got as a reply is static.” Wendy’s plea of help came from a speaker in the sick bay. Chatot replied back “Don’t quit on us, Wendy. Omega is fighting for her life and isn’t giving up. And you shouldn’t give up either! THAT IS AN ORDER!” Chatot shouted. Jake nodded in agreement with chatot. He then looked over towards Omega and Matt. Matt wasn’t giving up either, as he worked franticly on trying to save his daughter. The ECG, however, was hardly registering a blip.

Back in the scalding heat of Candida, Wendy lowered her head as she replied clearly “Trust me, Chatot. That is one order I want to follow.”
Tills looked at Wendy as she said in a stern voice “Even when you’re lost in darkness, you must believe in tomorrow, it will come!”
Big looked at Ariel as he asked, sotto. “How much longer will these last?”
“About a minute, or a minute and a half at best.” Ariel replied. Then a miracle happened, the team heard the sound of water spraying above them. One of the boys look at Wendy “What’s that sound?”
Reed smirked as he chuckled “We just got saved by the Angels with Burning Hearts.”
The aerial team from above shot water from their water cannons and onto the scorching fire. Soon the team peaked underneath the fire blankets to see if the fire was extinguished. Indeed, it was gone and the team celebrated. Tills gave Big a huge hug as Reed grabbed Shou and aggressively rubbed his head with his knuckles. “Hey! Let go of me, old man!” Shou shouted as he tried to escape the head-lock.
“You deserve this, kid!” Reed said.
Sam let go of Tony as the small bat-like creature turned back into a large wyvern. Wendy also let go of Kaycee, as the small squirrel ran up to Tony and climbed on his back “TONY! I WAS SO SCARED!” she cried hugging the fluffy mane of the large beast.
Soon the celebration died down as Ariel looked at Wendy. “What do we do now?” She asked
“We return home.” Wendy replied.

At Wigglytuff’s guild, Omega stood above a wooden grate, her tail slowly moving up and down. A squeaky voice spoke out “POKEMON DECTECTED! POKEMON DECTECTED! WHO’S FOOT PRINT? WHO’S FOOT PRINT? THE FOOT PRINT IS… the foot print is… Omega’s?!” The squeaky voice asked, confused. Omega looked down into the grate and shouted “IT’S OMEGA! I NEED TO TALK TO CHATOT, PRIVATLY!”
“Oh! You may past!” The squeaky voice called out. Omega nodded as she went into the guild. Once she was inside, she was greeted by Chatot. “Oh! Omega! What are you doing here?”
“Chatot…” Omega started. She looked at him straight in the eyes. “I want to talk to you privately.”
Chatot nodded as he led Omega into another room of the guild. They were in the mess hall, sitting at the long table, at least they were near each other. Chatot handed Omega a cup of Hot Chocolate, while Chatot was drinking tea. “Well, Omega, what do you want to tell me?”
“Chatot, will you keep a secret?” Omega asked, as she looked at her grey pants, which were torn up from the falls she had. Chatot nervously nodded, as he was concerned for Omega. Omega lifted up her pant leg revealing her wound from the morning, the bandages removed. Chatot squawked loudly “O-OMEGA! WHAT DID YOU DO?!”
“I… I injured my leg on the volcano…” Omega said, with a sigh. “During this morning’s volcano eruption, I slipped and caught my leg on a rock… and I think I lost a lot of blood.” Omega said, as she felt a dizzy spell. She got up but immediately fell, Chatot caught her. “O-omega?!” He shouted.
Omega soon regained her sense of balance as she sat back down, but she felt like the whole entire room was spinning. Chatot quickly grabbed a Persim berry, from an ever growing pile of random berries, and placed it in Omega’s mouth, which was slightly open. She slowly chewed on it and swallowed the berry, the dizzy spell slowly disappearing. “Thank you.” She said, as she recollected her thoughts. “I wanted to ask you something though, Chatot.” She said, as she remembered her question.
“What is it?” Chatot asked. Omega sighed, as she asked him her question.
“If my dizziness isn’t caused by any loss of blood, what do you think is causing my dizziness?” She asked
“Hm… Maybe some sort of infection. Omega, I’m not a doctor, I don’t know what could have caused your dizziness.” Chatot said. Omega nodded, as she got up and got ready to leave. “Thank you, Chatot.” Omega said, with a polite bow.
And off the red riolu went, leaving the guild and heading back to the pokemon heroes base.

SPECIAL THANKS TO MY FRIEND AIBO FOR LETTING ME BORROW HIS CHARATER IN THIS CHAPTER OF POKEMON HEROES!

Omega watched the action, as she roared in anger, her fist flying to the side. “ARGH!” She said, as her punch went through Soul. The ghostly Lucario looked at Omega and said, with a slight tone of humor in his voice “Omega, if you’re trying to punch me, ask a Zigzagoon to use Odor Sleuth on me first.” He said, humored by his own joke.
“It’s not that, Soul!” The red riolu barked. “Rocky disobeyed an order again!” She shouted. She quickly shifted her attention to a monitor that was from the PKNN News. Soul looked at the monitor that Omega was watching, knowing that it might calm her down. “We’re live above the Canadian flames.” Kaycee said.

In Canada, Tony flew above the hot fires that consumed Northern Canada. While those two were safe, there were those who were in a war against the flames. Pokemon Heroes and Fire Rangers were risking their lives in what felt like a war against fire, their water was killing off the inferno quickly. Behind the two teams was a family of three, all part of the Meowstic line, huddled together, scared as they watched the teams work together to quickly put out the flames. Soon the fire died down and the teams looked at the family. “Well then” Reed Phoenix, the leader of the Fire Rangers, said as he looked at Wendy, Ariel, and Sam.
“Miss, are you alright?” Shou Amabane asked the mother of the family. The female Meowstic nodded “Yes, but our two sons… They went out for a walk.”
“And we haven’t seen them for two hours!” The father continued.
“Don’t worry.” Wendy said. “No one gets left behind. But first, we need to get you out of here.” She said.
Tills quietly pulled Wendy aside as she asked the older woman “How are we going to get them out of here? Are we going to do an aerial rescue or something?”
Ariel nodded as she turned into her pure staraptor form “You got it, Tellis.”
Wendy nodded, as Sam spoke in his head set “Hal, we need a pick-up.”
“Rodger that!” A voice came from Sam’s headset.
Wendy turned to the family and said “This Ariel, she’ll give you an Air-lift to safety.”
The meowsic family carefully climbed onto Ariel’s back and held on tight as the grey bird took off, flying towards the red angry sky, that was filled with smoke and lightning storms. A helicopter flew above her, as a bottom hatch opens, Ariel flew into the hatch and let the family off. Controling the helicopter was an anthropomorphic Bagon named Hal E. Copter. “Welcome to Air Hal, Enjoy the free flight.” He said, as he looked back, giving a smile.

A loud screech filled the ears of everyone at Wigglytuff’s guild, as Chatot was getting frustrated at the storms. What chatot didn’t know is that someone upset. he heard someone sniffling behind him. Cautiously, he looked to see Guild Master Wigglytuff starting to cry.
“AH! G-guildmast-” Chatot said, surprised.
“Y-you’re mad at me.” Wigglytuff sniffled.
“N-no! I’m not mad you! N-not at all!” Chatot said. “I’m not mad at anyone… just these storms!” Chatot said before looking at the monitors and sneering at the storms. “I’ll figure you out! Mark my words!”
“Oh la la! La Tour Eiffel été frappé par la foudre!” Alakazam spoke in fluent French.
“What was that?” Chatot asked, confused.
“‘Mark my words.’ Lightning just hit the Eiffel tower in Paris… in French of course.” Alakazam translated. Chatot was surprised “Wow! You know French?”
“French, German, Spanish, any language, I know it.” Alakazam spoke, as he looked at the monitor. “Hmm… The Eiffel Tower, The Space Needle and the Calgary tower… even Metal Face the large Aggron and Epsilon the Zoroark with… metallic… attachments… that it!” He said, solving the puzzle in his head. “It must be something with the static electricity and metal!”
Chatot looked at the psi pokemon as an alarm went off, a flood icon appeared on the screen. In anger, Alakazam accidently flung a spoon at Bidoof!

At the base, Rocky came in, his tail between his legs in his dusk form, he opened his mouth to spoke. “Omega… I’m sorry about what happened at-”
“Save your breath, Rocky.” Omega said, as she spun her chair to face Rocky. “It doesn’t matter now, I’ve made my decision and you’re….grounded. You’ll be on monitor duty until further notice” The red riolu said, shaking her head no. The ghostly Lucario’s eyes widened as he was surprised by her decision. He moved closer to Omega and whispered in her ear “Are you sure that’s what you want to do?” He asked. Omega nodded as she made a fist and shook it up in down, as if she was knocking an invisible door. That was the American Sign for ‘Yes.’
Soul released a deep sigh as he hover next to Omega. Rocky was astonished by Omega’s decision. “But… Ome-”
“CAN IT!” Omega barked, her anger getting the best of her. She shook her head as she spun to look at the monitors. Jake and Jack walked into Monitor control, just as Chatot came on the monitor “AIEE! WATCH IT!” He squawked.
“I can’t watch it, I’m over here… and you’re over there!” Omega joked, the others all laughed at her joke, including Rocky. However, Chatot wasn’t happy with her joke.
“You! Watch your tongue!” Chatot said.
“I can’t watch my tongue, it’s in my mouth.” She said, with another wave of giggles and chuckles following after the joke. “What’s wrong, Chatot?”
“Well, Omega, Lightning hit a dam in Thailand.” Chatot started, however, Alakazam continued. “The damage on the dam is minimal, and flooding is occurring, but if that dam is hit one more time…”
“And that flood is going to look like dew on a yellow rose of Texas.” Jack said. Omega nodded as she nodded. “Alright, then… Jack, Jake, you’re coming with me. Don’t forget some rain boots as we’re going to do Mission flood.” She said, as she walked towards the group, but she stumbled on her own feet and fell with a loud thud.
“Omega?!” Jake and Jack both asked as they ran to her. Omega looked up with an ashamed look on her face. “I tripped on my two left feet.” She said, as she got up, her cheeks were a rosy pink.
Jake and Jack helped Omega up, then the three of them ran out of the base. Rocky sighed as Soul looked up at one of the monitors with Kaycee on it, as she gave a report. “We’re currently flying over the flames… and I…” Kaycee started to shake, but then Tony then took over her news. “I can feel the fire almost giving my wings a scalding kiss. Ouch.”
Rocky shook his head no as he sighed, walking up to the chair Omega was sitting in and he sat down in the chair sighing. “Great… Kaycee and Tony are out there while I’m stuck in here.”
Soul smiled as he placed his ghostly paw over Rocky and nodded. “You and me both, buddy… You and me both.”

In the blazing Canadian fire, Wendy, Ariel, Sam, Tills, Reed, Big and Shou had already killed half the fire, as Reed spoke into his headset. “Chris, can you hear me? We’re looking for two boys, can you find them?” All Reed got was static. Getting frustrated, Reed called out to Fire Ranger #1. “Chris Partn, can you read me?”
Shou giggled as he gave the older Floatzel a hard time “Maybe she doesn’t want to talk to you, old man.”
“Zip it, little boy!” Reed snapped. The team still took down the fire, as they waited anxiously for a reply from Chris Partn. They eventually got a reply, but not from Chris, rather from Tony. “This is Tony from PKNN News, I can help find the boys.” The team heard from the calm noivern.
Big looked at his team and shook his head with disbelief. “We lost Chris but got some news reporter named Tony?”
Wendy looked at Big as she explained “Tony isn’t a news reporter. He is one of the carrier pokemon for the news group PKNN News. I actually trust Tony with finding the boys.” She said. She then replied in the radio “Alright, Tony. But if you see the boys, do not assist.”

Tony agreed with Wendy, as Kaycee held onto Tony’s back. “Please don’t go into the fire.”
“Kaycee…” Tony sighed, his eyes shimmered with sadness “I don’t want any more people to die. I have the chance to at least save someone.” He then flew closer into the flames, as he tried to calm Kaycee down. “Don’t worry, I won’t let you fall.” He said, calmly.

In another part of the world, A Shadow Lugia carrying a Metagross with its feet was seen by the pokemon of Thailand. It was the Pokemon Heroes with Omega’s Shadow Lugia, Dark Lugi, and William’s Metagross friend, Grossi. “Dark Lugi, land!” Omega said, commanding the majestic beast. And so Dark Lugi did with a loud thud, then released Grossi from her feet. The team quickly made their plan.
“That dam is holding on tight, but… if it bursts, the whole town will be wiped out!” Omega exclaims. Jack and Jake nodded. “But we don’t have time to get the people out… what will we do?” Jake asked.
“It’s simple! If we can’t move the people away from the flood, then we’re going to have to move the flood away from the people!” Omega said, as she jumped onto Dark Lugi. Jack gave Omega a confused look, as he didn’t understand Omega’s statement. “You… You lost me at ‘It’s simple.’”
Omega chuckled. “Alright then, watch and learn. Dark Lugi! Dragon Tail!” Omega commanded the Lugia. The giant beast started to fly, then it slammed its tail into the ground, creating a path for the flood water. The men understood Omega as Jack nodded. “You’re clever, Omega!”
Omega blushed as she chuckled “Well… don’t ask me to do any kind of Algebra.” She said, rubbing the back of her head.

At the Guild, Chatot and Alakazam were trying to figure out the prediction of the weather, however, they weren’t having any luck. Chatot sighed, as he flapped his wings to relax himself. “I don’t understand what the weather pattern will be!” He said.
Croagunk silently walked up behind Chatot and whispered in his ear “Maybe instead of looking towards the future, like Xatu, why not look to the past like a normal pokemon.”
Chatot swat the frog away, angrily “THAT’S NOT FUNNY, CROGUNK!” But Croagunk’s words made Chatot realize something, as he had an idea. “Maybe to find where the storms are headed, I should see where the storms were from!”
“Cotton-eye joe” Croagunk whispered quietly, however Chatot didn’t hear it. Chatot continued
“Yes! That’s it! I should have been tracking where the storms were from! Chatot you’re a genius! If I do say so myself!” The proud parrot squawked, before looking at Croagunk, who was croaking while expanding his cheek pouches, with a disappointed look on his face. Chatot looked around before whispering to Croagunk “Alright, Croagunk, you’re a genius… But please don’t tell anyone else what happened.”
Croagunk’s unamused look quickly changed to a grin, as he kept croaking, expanding his cheek pouches.
“So… these storms came from…” Chatot said, as he looked at the monitor. His eyes widened with surprise. Croagunk spoke for Chatot “So these storms came from that Volcano? Spicy.”
There wasn’t a response from Chatot, as he ignored the joke. He did, however, contact the pokemon Heroes base.

“The cause of these storms came from this morning; the volcano!” Chatot said, over the monitor. Rocky, Milo, Dats, and Soul were in the room discussing the matter with Chatot.
“Alright… We should get a sample of those particles…” Milo said, quietly. Soul looked over at Rocky and asked “Rocky, do you have a sample of that dust?”
Rocky nodded, as he glanced at his paw then showed Milo his dusty grey paw. Milo smiled as he took a small vial and a small wooden scraper and scraped some of the dust off of Rocky’s paw, as it dropped into the vial. “This will be perfect!” Milo said, his usually monotone voice had a hint of happiness. Milo placed the small vial into a scanner and spoke into a mic, to Omega. “Omega! I think we found the source of the storms!”

Back in Thailand, Dark Lugi and Grossi and other large pokemon were carrying trees, which were uprooted, to a dam that was being built. Various pokemon were chopping the trees up, which the larger pokemon brought over, to be built as a suitable dam. While the other pokemon did this, Omega was trying not to show anyone her pain, she replied to milo in the headset “That’s great, Milo… I hope this information is good enough.” She said, as wiped perspiration off of her fur. Just then, Jack, who was riding on Grossi, who was carrying about seven trees, went past Omega as he smiled to her “You know this one more tree than I can carry!” He said, with a smile. Omega rolled her eyes as she shrugged “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go put them over there, wise guy.” She said, pointing to a growing pile of trees.
“Alright, Omega.” Grossi said, as he smiled at Omega’s snarky comment.
The team knew about the small leak in the dam, so they asked a friend of the team, a Dusk Lycanroc named Aibo, to keep an eye on the dam. Suddenly a bolt of lightning struck the dam, with the dam shattering to a million pieces. Aibo ran like hell, as he jumped over Dark Lugi’s head and onto her back. Jack, Jake, and Omega noticed Aibo giant leap and noticed the flood. “Who said lighting never strikes twice?” Jake asked, as Omega shouted at everyone “Everyone! Evacuate!” She shouted, as everyone scampered onto various flying pokemon. Some got onto a Braviary, some onto a Salamence, while others escaped quickly. Omega and Jake climbed onto Dark Lugi, and Grossi quickly hovered above the water.
Omega climbed on top of Dark Lugi’s head and commanded her friend to fly. “Quick! Up!” She shouted at Dark Lugi. The dark legendary pokemon flew up above the water.
Omega stood up as she felt her world spinning around her. Voices were distorted around her. “O…ga? Ome….ga?” Was the words she was heard. She tried to get off of Dark Lugi’s head but she tripped on her feet again and fell into the water.
Jack saw a red blur drop into a torrent of blue. He looked at Grossi as he got ready to jump “No offence, Grossi, but I don’t think you know how to swim.” Jack said.
“Tch… Wise guy” Grossi said, as he rolled his eyes. The Sandslash leapt into the water and turned into an Alohan Sandslash. As soon as Jack landed into the water, he saw Omega struggling to swim. She wasn’t a great swimmer, but even now, with these weird dizzy spells she was having, she looked like a Magikarp trying to swim in quicksand.
Jack quickly swam behind her and caught her with one of his long claws and he hooked onto a rock with another claw. Dark Lugi and Grossi hovered down close to them as Jake and Aibo sighed in relief.
“Omega, are you okay?” Jack asked, as Omega’s eyes slowly fluttered open
“Huh? Yeah… May I have my Lugia alone?” She asked, as Dark Lugi lowered her tail to lift Omega up onto her back.
“Why?” Aibo asked, confused.
“I need to talk to someone. Besides, she’s my Lugia.” She said, as she climbed onto Dark Lugi. Jake nodded as he jumped onto Grossi, Aibo carefully jumped off of Dark Lugi’s back and onto Grossi. Jake helped Jack up onto Grossi. Soon, the two pokemon took off, as Dark Lugi flew off somewhere else.
