MechaMento : That would be a lot easier, if I had a computer and time to do that. :/ |

Hey all, Alex is back and bugging everyone again! So, I've been nostalgic for a little while and want to play the original Spyro games again. However, there is one eetsy-bitsy-major problem. I no longer own any of the Spyro games due to my mother kicking me out and refusing to give them to me. So, I'm hoping I'm in the correct forum since its about video games... I have no money to buy them at the moment, but I'm hoping for some help. I tried Amazon, and the prices for the games are through the roof. I want to play the games again quite badly, but cannot find a good site to buy from. So, my question is, does anyone know of a good/reliable site where I can buy the old Spyro series for a decent price? (and by decent I mean their real price, not inflated due to the rarity) If not, does anyone have spare copies they are holding on to and would be willing to part with when I have the money to buy? Thank you everybody for the feedback! I apologize for coming back so late (and if this is a necroed thread, I super-apologize), some personal stuff came into the scene... But, I'm going to take all this into mind and try to make a great MMO! Thank you everybody for the feedback! Okay, so my boyfriend and I are planning out an MMORPG. Now, keep in mind, we aren't very far into it and won't be looking for a team until we start the design and coding stages. - I know this is a VERY long process, and might cost quite a bit of money. But I've wanted to create an MMO for a while now, because there are some things that have been left untouched, that I believe can be doable. Now, explanation behind the question aside, I want to know, what is it that you look for in an MMORPG? What "sells" it to you the most? - I know this is a VERY long process, and might cost quite a bit of money. Light Knight : Okay, since the power supply is hardware, I should be able to And luckily, I don't have any files on there that cannot easily be But I do plan on explaining the problem, and might even need to have them turn the computer on there and hear the noise for themselves, because I really can't describe it very well, and its one of those things where you have to hear in order to know. Light Knight : Well, that would be great and everything... And I can give you the specs I know, but at this point that would be useless. . _ . I'm now afraid to turn it on, because the newest problem is that there's a weird electric-scratchy noise (that's the only way I can describe it) that starts up a few minutes after I turn it on now... The system pretty much crashed on me after the first time the noise started, and I can't even back up my computer now because of that noise. I'm worried that something important fried itself or is frying itself and I don't even know if I should take it in to the local repair people, because it might be something that can't be fixed... So, I got my whole internet problem fixed with this computer, but now I'm facing another, even bigger problem! I've been trying to install WoW from a cd, so that me and my boyfriend can play it together. Everything goes fine up until installation, where it takes an hour to get to 0.1% on the installation. When it finally reaches 0.4%, my computer just shuts off. There's no error, no freezing, glitches, nothing. It just shuts off. This has happened four times now, and I'm a little bit more than frustrated at this point, because I can not find the problem. My anti-virus software hasn't detected anything, I only ran the WoW installation and no other program. My boyfriend says that it could be that my Nvidia driver is not in the hard drive. I don't even know what that means or how to find out if it is or isn't... I just need some help guys, please... I'm so done with all these freaking complications... Light Knight : My apologies, I seem to have skipped the bit where its a slightly older modem (about a year old), separate from the main modem, that I had tried to connect with. I have a tablet that receives my home's wireless just fine. My main modem is a Motorola from Wal-Mart, and connected to that we have a Cisco Wireless Router. Our old internet company, Frontier, had let us keep the old modem, and my mother allowed me to give it a try. That one receives the wireless connection, but no internet connection. When I diagnosed the problem, the troubleshooter said that the connection between the internet and the computer is broken. However, the Frontier modem is giving that computer a network connection - just no internet access. Edit: And yea, I connected directly to the Frontier modem with the ethernet cord and everything. Hey guys, I'm having some major problems here. So, I have a friend who built me a desktop, which I now have in my room. I don't want to have to connect it to the main modem, because then I will never get it back from my family. So, my boyfriend is taking me to Wal-Mart today to look at wireless adapters, because I already tried a slightly older modem that our old internet company allowed us to keep. I'm worried that the adapter/router will not work, though. When I tried to connect with the modem, it received wireless and made the network available to my new desktop, however, it refuses to connect to the internet. When I diagnosed the problem, the troubleshooter said that the connection between the pc and the internet is broken. Which, I do not understand how it could be if I can receive the wireless in my room, and on top of that, cable to my tv. I need to know if the wireless adapter/router will work, and if not, what do I have to do to get internet to the computer? So, I have a friend who built me a desktop, which I now have in my room. I have no clue what the subforum should be... But, whatever.. So, I'm just a little nervous about putting this out in any major pokemon forum sites, because idk how many fans would take badly to the idea, or if it would be bashed completely.. Ok, so, to the idea! I've been talking with my boyfriend (who got me back into pokemon), and we kind of came up with this idea together. We think it would be freaking awesome if Nintendo created a game where, once your beat the elite four, you get to travel to the previous regions. But, wait, what if they just jumble it up and don't go in order or anything?? Well, here, let me lay out the whole idea, and you guys can let me know if its good or if its bad. So, you play through whatever new region there would be, either seeing or catching all or a certain amount of pokemon for the first dex. In order to unlock the National Dex, you need to gather all eight gym badges and then beat the elite four + champion. However, you only unlock part of the national dex. In order to unlock the each part, you must travel to each region that each part is in. So, I.E.: You unlock the Sinnoh part of the national dex and must travel to the Sinnoh Region and beat the eight gyms and elite four. To keep it fun and all, there could also be different requirements to unlocking the next part. And, finally, there should be a starting level cap for each region. So, say you unlock the dex and travel to the first region, but your team is between levels 60 and 70. You would have to choose a team of pokemon under or at, say level 20 just to be fair, and obtain a certain gym badge in order to be able to use pokemon around levels such as those of your original team. In this way, you aren't tanking through every single battle with all level 100 pokemon. I don't know about anyone else, but that would be rather boring. Alright, now I've gotten through the idea, so please tell me what you think! But, now that we live in the mountains, there's no need for that. . - . supercool22 : Snow is frozen rain. Lol. Honestly, I don't remember enough of my school years to be able to say I have a favorite. But if I had to pick, I guess I would say 5th? I had this friend who would walk around the playground area with me before school and during recess, and we'd just go around stealing "valuable" and "rare" marbles from unsuspecting kids. |

Barathemos : I don't think they would make a sequel either way, since the sales were so low. I think its a mix of people not having a very high regard for wolf-based gameplay, and, like you said, there are people who think it wasn't all that great of a game in the first place. Personally, I've played it through at least 15 times and I'm still not tired of it. ^ ^" I love the artwork, and the overall storyline isn't so bad. But I do believe there is more dialogue than gameplay, and without real voices that squeak can really get on your nerves. Hoping this is the right forum for this. I don't know how many users are Okami fans, but for those who are, would you want to see a sequel (I don't count Okamiden as one, and no I haven't played it) for the console? If so, what are some things you'd like to see in a new game? New bosses, storyline, levels, powers, characters, etc.? I don't think the Okami world is small enough for a handheld. I've seen screenies of Okamiden gameplay, and the world looks cramped. It is like the absolute most amazing thing in the world!! Barathemos : I prefer wet, muggy weather to all other types of weather. You should see me when I notice thunderheads are forming in the sky! A drink ban? Hold the phone, why in the world would ANY business, anywhere in the world, ban bringing your own drinks? I mean, yea, movie theatre's do it, but its way too easy to sneak in your own drinks. Everyone knows that you aren't supposed to go a day without a drink of water, especially if it is hot. I don't understand the concept of "higher prices bring more profit." I think people are just money-hungry buttmunches these days. I don't understand the concept of "higher prices bring more profit."
