thanks kanaokamori, it was very close,  i did quite alot of practice,  and had to pull off a good run or i would have wasted all that time, sorry to just pip u.  i also played this game on the old gameboy when i went round my friends house when i was about 9, i could never get past the 3rd lvl cuz i didnt realize u had to jump over the sphynx, i didnt understand how to beat it lol.  i have definatly improved 20 years on

k, thanks for the info fireproof and jerryberry.  good to know 'im not the only one and yep im def interested to see if i7 is any better.   Im annoyed tho cuz i installed that freemake converter and ended up getting my browser hijacked by this 'delta search' and also installing this thing called 'tune-up abilities which i have read is a virus which can effect my system 32 and may break my laptop. Im a pc noob and didnt realise this might happen, i should have manually unticked some boxes when installing.  now i gotta work out how to completly uninstall this stuff, i really hope this thing doesnt end up beaking my new laptop.   

i gotta say that mayb i was at an advantage playing in slow motion, i could be very precise in places but it was a daunting task, i would have actually smashed up my laptop if i messed up in last 30 seconds or something.  i think my run took about 15 minutes to complete and i very almost did lose it in the last 30 seconds on that tricky bit near the start where u bounce off the head of enemy onto that tree b4 getting 1st balloon, i really shouldnt have made it up there.   i was lucky i nailed it on my 2nd attempt, i was considering not to play

jerryaberry :   so do u reckon it is my laptop which is causing the slow down then, it has an i5 core processor, could this have anything to do with it.   did u experience this slow motion when u recorded your run? what are u playing it on.     Also i think it is now going bad in supermarioland .  i've been trying to record this perfect run but whenevr i get to world 3 it starts getting laggy and unplayable, its so annoying and unfair   

hi, i am having the same problem as the other poster where when i try to record a video then the game plays in slow motion, vizzed is the only page i have open, i would like to know if evry1 else is having this problem.  when i played last months NWC90 comp i was having a similar lag problem but it was nowhere near as bad as this, however when i record a vid of supermarioland for the speedrun contest there doesnt seem to be any problem with lag at all, it seems specific to certain games.  i'm playing the games on a laptop and im from the uk, maybe these might be the problems but it seems i wont be able compete in this donkey kong contest which is annoying cuz i got that strategy down and really want to compete and of course win lol

I have another queery, if i am recording a video and i make a mistake and want to restart my run, can i just keep pressing reset and it will reset my video or if i do this will it keep on recording these resets so my video will end up being say an hour long perhaps with all my mistakes making it unacceptable and also would mean taking forever to upload to vizzed youtube page?  thanks 

i just spedran this,  when i loaded the game it said i must use Mednafen to record my video, however when you start recording the screenshot (F6) option gets disabled, so i cant take a screenshot of 'The End' screen' and submit to the game page   the 2 people who have their scores submitted seemed to record their videos w/o mednafen as their graphics aren't unenhanced like mine seemd to be.  i really dunno what this mednafen thing means, but how were they able to record w/o it and how shall i go about competing in this speedrun,  shall i just send my mednafen video in as proof w/o the need for a screen shot?  thanx any1

Thanks for the praise for my run,  if ppl werent aware, i memorized that tetris pattern, i copied this guy on the internet who had 4.5 million, its annoying that we dont get the full time limit then it would have been alot more interesting and i probably wouldnt have won.

something that ppl may not have picked up on is that the Tetris pattern u get is determined by what score u get in Mario, so i got 10400 everytime on mario so i would get that same tetris pattern   also crashing at the end of Rad racer is definatly quicker, takes ages to cross the line normally.  i crashed a bit too late on my run cuz those cars were seriously boxing me in, but u wanna crash into the tree at exactly 6060 into the track at full speed and u will land just b4 finish line and it looks cool.

hey Davideo7 i sent u a private message saying i would like my prize in Viz form, not sure if or when u will get the message cuz u must get so many, so i am letting u know on this page as well,  i am a very new member and dont know well how to navigate the website so hopefully u will read this message, i prob should have replied to ur name on this thread, but i thought i'd write evrything in this one post, and hopefully jerryberry will be reading the bit i said about crashing at the end of rad racer, i should have put a reply to his name for that bit as well perhaps.

I also gotta say that it is an excellent idea to have some sort of Rythmn game contest, preferably one which is determined by points for accuracy, i am probably best at these games, there is this game on xbox360 called 'boom boom rocket' i am the best in the world at it i believe.  I made a few vids on youtube of me playing the game blindfolded and getting in the top 10, if any1 is reading this then u really gotta check em out, the best vid i did is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0QgCEipkG4&hd=1, check it out,    u explode fireworks to music in the game, the more accurate u are the higher ur score, and knowing when to use ur bonus multiplier gives u bigger score, being blindfolded meant i didnt know when i had my bonus multiplier, which is why i couldnt beat my normal score.  anyway if we could have boom boom rocket in the next contest then that would be great

Hi there.   yesterday i took 1st place in the Nintendo world championships 90 comp   i am new to this site and i don't think i uploaded my proof vid properly.  i took a screenshot of my final score and uploaded it to the game page ok but i followed  instructions to send my vid to vizzed youtube page, it said it may take a few hours for it to be viewable in youtube,  so i have checked back today.   when i type in my vid's url into youtube, the clip box comes up but it says 'sorry this video is not available.'   does anybody know why this is?

I felt i should also put my video on the NWC90 game page itself as further proof,  it tells me i must type in my youtube vids url so i did this.  it also says something about my youtube vid needing a link to the vizzed game page, i dont understand how i am meant to do this when i sent vizzed my video, its on their youtube profile, that means i cant change things doesnt it, but i cant even see the vid anyway.   so anyway i tried putting my vid on the game page by typing in my url,  well my vid is on the game page except  it says "currently no screenshot added" across it and when i try to click on the video and watch it it says "this video is a duplicate of a previously uploaded vid" what does this mean?  evry1 else seems to have their vids on the game page, what did i do wrong and am i meant to add my own screenshot to it cuz it says i have no screenshot.  

I would also like to try and improve on my current score for the game but i dot know how i go about sending in a new vid cuz i have already sent them one, if i send a new vid is it gonna replace the one i have sent,  i really need help on this whole thing cuz it would be a shame if i was disqualified cuz i didnt know how to upload my vid properly.   some1 please help me   

Thanks very much for replying to me, I shall give what you said a try, sounds like it could work, I hope it does or otherwise I wont be able to play, I'm so incredibly good on a control pad but useless on a keyboard.    am I correct that it is possible to play all these games with a control pad, if not an xbox controller then an actual pc controller that someone else spoke about.  I must try and take part in all these competitions u were talking about  

Hello everybody, I am not only new to this site but I'm a bit of a pc noob, this is my first laptop, i've always hated computers but i've decided I must try get good on them.   Anyway my friend on xbox live told me about this website and said I would enjoy it, so I checked it out.  I gotta say it is freaking amazing and I will be sure to be a consistent member.  i'm quite a competitive video game player, I like to compete on leaderboards on xbox specifically on the retro style of the xbla games.    what i'm most excited about on this website is these monthly competitions, im itching to compete in them, This months Nintendo world championships comp will be just like going back in time and competing the actual event, sort of, cant wait.  

now I cant play games on a keyboard, this is alien to me, but i'm sure I can plug in my xbox wired controller and play right, this qualifies as a pc controller doesn't it?  I just cant get the thing to work.   I decided I must practice tetris since this is the bulk of the competition so I have loaded up the nes version via the rgr plug-in.   it says I can play with a pc controller in the top right of the screen but I must adjust this via the menu.  I double clicked the left button on the screen and it bought up input configuration, is this the menu?  this screen means nothing to me lol, but it says that port 1 and port 2 are set to controller anyway, so I plug my pad into my usb ports but it doesn't work, it is only working with keyboard inputs.

I reckon I may have more questions in the future I if I cant figure something this simple out, I mean i'm also gonna have to try to record vids of my runs on these games and post them to vizzed youtube site or something as proof, sounds well complicated, however I may be able to figure that out though I haven't tried yet, I just gotta try to get good at Rad racer and tetris first.  any help on how I play with my box controller would be great.  thanks
