I absolutely love X's. Turned based is probably the absolute best for me (one reasons I loved the original so much), and X took it and ran with it. Was never really a big fan of the ones where you had to wait for a bar to charge up to attack, and it was somewhat real time without being real time(XII) which I don't really like. Either pure real time or turned based is what makes me enjoy a RPG most. I was hoping for the same battle system in X2, but alas, they brought back jobs. I eventually came to enjoy it, but I'll always like X's better. On a side note, anyone nervous about XIII's? Looks a bit edgy to me...... I really wish they'd just go back to turn based. |

I feel so stupid when ever this topic comes up..... The first one I ever saw was a Hoothoot. I was training right at the very beginning, with my level 8 Totodile, and I came across it. I didn't even know what a "shiny" pokemon was at the time, so I just killed it. To ease the guilt though, it was before you even get the free 5 pokeballs from Elm's aid. I've never seen it since.... And of course there's the Red Gyarados that everyone loves. |

I found Tidus/Yuna to be the most heart-warming out of all of them. Really upsets me that Squenix seems to have lost their appetite for love stories in the Final Fantasy games. FFXII really lacked with it, and from what I've seen of XIII, there doesn't seem to be any sign of one at all. |

I prefer Ho-oh, mainly for his better attacking skills. I can think of better tanks than Lugia, and Lugia is more easily countered because electric attacks do super damage for his flying/water types. Ho-oh isn't so easily dealt with. Plus, Gold is my favorite version ever, so I'm a bit biased. |

I'm going to go with new on this one, bucking the trend. I really don't understand the hate the Wii gets. I mean, I'm like a lot of people: Grew up on the SNES and followed every Nintendo console since (N64, GameCube, all the handhelds even), and I still love the Wii. I think the first party games are amazing, and I DO think they even beat their amazing SNES counterparts. This applies for my three most favorite series of all time: Zelda, Metroid, and Mario. And the cool thing is, they're not done yet. We've got Galaxy 2, Other M, and that mysterious Zelda Wii coming up next year. So yeah, I really like the Wii so far. |

I'm not a huge fan of the NES era, more like the SNES, but NES did have some great games I still like to play. The original Final Fantasy being one of them( even though the remakes for GBA/PSP have been better), along with Adventure of Link and the good old original Super Merio Bros. I could mention Metroid, but I always found that first game to be a little too difficult for my tastes. Love Metroid II though, one of the best GB games for me. |

As far as replacing one of the characters with myself? Well, none probably. Just think about all of the stress and hardships that all of those characters go through. It was take an exception human being to be able to deal with all that. For instance, my favorite, FFX. I can't see myself taking the place of any of those characters, because I don't think I could stand the emotional trauma each one of them go through, plus you have to think about how hard it is to hold your breath under water for so long.... Not to mention that in every single game you have to fight monsters that look pretty mean and tough. Haha, not the life I would want to live for sure. |

Part of me thinks it's the culture just looking for something to blame today's bad kids on, when reality, it's just the parents not doing their job. People will always look for something else to put the blame on, instead of taking it themselves.
On the other side, I do think violent games could affect YOUNG children to a certain degree. I would hope that it you're 10+ years old, you would have enough sense to know that the things in GTA aren't exactly what you should be doing. However, for small children, such as the ages of 5-8 perhaps, I think games like GTA could have a negative effect in some tiny way. Not to the point where that child will go out and kill someone in the name of GTA, but it could lead to that if the child is never taught any better, and continues to play said game from a young age. The again, parenting comes in. That's why we have ratings. In my personal opinion, you have no business playing GTA if you're below the age of 13. I never found him especially hard, but Flux did give me some problems at first. I tried about 5 times to beat him, but I never really had much luck. Keep in mind I was pretty far along the grid at that point, with Lulu knowing all the -aga spells and such. I finally decided to just get all my aeons in drive form and spam him over and over with them until I could finish him off easily. Yeah, he has that move that kills them in one hit, but you can get an overdrive in before he does. Pretty cheap, I know, but you do what works right? |

Donkey Kong Country for the SNES all the way. Loved it, loved it, loved it. It's up there with Super Metroid in my favorite SNES games. Second one was Donkey Kong 64, and I really liked it too. Makes me kind of sad that Nintendo seems to have given up on him, save for those annoying Donkey Konga game and the horrendous Barrel Blast.... |

My very first was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the good old Genesis. It's still my favorite of the series to this day, and I love re-visiting it over and over. Sonic Adventure came pretty close to it though. Sonic in his 3D prime right there. |

It really hacks me how people thought this game looked awesome, then read it was for Wii only and decided to be horrible. I absolutely love Warren Spector, being a huge fan of his works. Being the genius he is, I'm sure he has a perfect reason for making this Wii exclusive, so I'm not going to complain because the graphics aren't going to be as good as they could be. It's very nice to see Mickey make a comeback as what he originally, was: A trouble-maker, and somewhat of a pervert. Watch those original Mickey cartoons and you'll know what I mean.
This is going to be a good game people. We've got Warren Spector, the TRUE Mickey Mouse, and some awesome looking gameplay concepts. Let's not dismiss this because it isn't for PS360. Yeah, Final Fantasy is definitely one of the best series in video games, even if it did lose a tiny bit of quality when VII rolled around. I'm eagerly anticipating XIII, and being one of the few fans of XI, I'm looking forward to XIV too. I just hope that it won't go downhill one of these days, like so many other long-time series do. |

Hmm, the series has had a lot of memorable characters over the years, but if I had to narrow it down to just two:
Balthier: The was the best part about XII. I loved his carefree attitude, and I really loved his character development as well. I didn't care for FFXII as a whole, but this guy was great. Auron: Number one ranked badass of the undead. This guy was one of the many great things about X. His backstory, mysterious vibe, and altogether badassiness made him one of the most memorable ever. Three games constantly fight for that title in my head.
Mario Galaxy is a masterpiece. So new, so creative, so original..... I see very few flaws with it. It was a breath of fresh air in every way imaginable, and it managed to pull of that good ol' Mario feel. I'm so looking forward to Galaxy 2 that it isn't even funny. Along with Other M, it's my most anticipated game of 2010. Twilight Princess is, what I consider, Zelda in its prime. After being greatly disappointed by Wind Waker, Twilight Princess gave me back what made Ocarina so special. If the next Zelda console title was announced at E3 next year, that would be awesome for me, and would rocket Zelda Wii to my most anticipated game of all time title. And then there's Final Fantasy X, the first game that ever made me cry. I'm kinda emotionally tied to this one. For the first time ever, I actually cared about the characters and their story, and I wanted the best for them. I loved the deep and emotional plot, which revolved around a touching love story and a broken Father/Son relationship. The turned based battle system made it even better. Three amazing titles..... can't seem to choose one.... Mario Galaxy is a masterpiece. So new, so creative, so original..... I see very few flaws with it. Like so many others, it would be OoT. It was still my absolute favorite for a while until TP came out. I'm still suffering from the first 3D game nostalgia bug with OoT, but it's still hard to argue that it doesn't deserve at least some of the high praise it gets. |

Uh... is it weird that I was crying at the end of X, and yet this scene didn't phase me at all? X's ending was just so damn depressing, even though the characters did win in the grander scheme of things, they really did lose all they had on the most personal of levels.... thank god for X2. I don't care how bad it was, it gave me peace of mind.
But like I said, it's just more VII hype. I already knew it would happen, and it wasn't pulled off in the saddest of ways either. I've experience more powerful emotions in a Kingdom Hearts game to tell the truth. But like I said, it's just more VII hype.
