toxic + protect, leech seed + protect, leftovers + protect, wish + protect... the list goes on and on, protect is awesome
leftovers + anything focus sash + speed boost + sword dance= A cheap and (if used correctly) effective strategy. (gen 4 or 5) Sturdy + shell bell + endeavor + sandstorm ... this is very gimmicky but with a lot of luck and good timing you can sweep an uber team with a level 5 Aron thanks to this combination. (gen 5) Serene grace + thunder wave + any move that flinches... Have you ever felt the pain of having your strongest pokemon beaten by this combination? prankster ability + roar + mimic + entry hazards... google search Riolu sweep. (gen 5) Toxic orb + toxic heal... this not only gives health regeneration that is better then leftovers but it makes the effected pokemon immune to any other status effects with the exception of attract and confusion. (gen 4 or 5) Drizzle + swift swim substitute + focus punch... this one is self explanatory. thunderbolt + flamethrower + ice beam... few pokemon can learn all three but those that can are boltbeamers and boltbeamers can put a hurt on nearly every pokemon in the game. Earthquake + stone edge... This is one of the best physical combination's you can have and luckily (or unluckily) there are plenty with this move combination. choice items + any sweeper (the type of choice item that you would use is of course dependent upon the pokemon your using) life orb + any sweeper That's all for now. leftovers + anything focus sash + speed boost + sword dance= A cheap and (if used correctly) effective strategy. Kanto- Bulbasuar, I always loved that guy...I mean, sure Blastoise has cannons and Charizard is a fire breathing "dragon" but Venesuar doesn't need any of that stuff to be completely awesome.
Johto- Totodile... Why would I choose Thyplosion or Meganium over a bipedal alligator? Hoenn- Swampert, I prefer the look of Sceptile but water/ground is just too good to pass up... unless dream world Blaziken is an option, if it is then I want that one. Sinnoh- I like all the sinnoh starters, but... I'm going to have to go with Infernape. Unova- Can I have a second Sinnoh starter instead? If so then I choose Torterra. Johto- Totodile... 1. Earthquake- great accuracy and 100 base damage... I carry around a ground type just for this move.
2. Spore- I may be copying what was already said but a sleep inflicting move with 100 base accuracy is overpowered even in competitive play which has a sleep clause. Few pokemon may learn it outside of breeding but it's always worth it... Yes, leveling up Shroomish to level 54 is worth it unless your going to drop the game soon after. 3.Sword Dance or Nasty Plot- Increasing either your attack or special attack by two stages is one of the fastest ways to sweep a team. Honorable mention- Baton Pass 2. Spore- I may be copying what was already said but a sleep inflicting move with 100 base accuracy is overpowered even in competitive play which has a sleep clause. Dragon is overall the best, then it's steel, ground, and water in no specific order. |

First of I refuse to use any of the legendary's in game, so anything higher then a psuedo-legendary won't be on my team. But anyway since it's gen 1 my team is
Starmie (fastest of all the water types in this game and the next few games I believe) hitmonlee (I can't trade for machamp so he's the next best thing in my opinion for a fighting type) Jolteon (best thunder type and since there isn't any water/ground types in gen 1 electric is the best water counter) Nidoking (because I won't play without a ground type and most of the kanto ground types are sup-par or rock/ground type) Dragonite (A perfect team is never truly complete till you have at least one dragon) Venusaur ( I like having a sleeper on my team and in that regard he has always been one of the best) Starmie (fastest of all the water types in this game and the next few games I believe) hitmonlee (I can't trade for machamp so he's the next best thing in my opinion for a fighting type) Jolteon (best thunder type and since there isn't any water/ground types in gen 1 electric is the best water counter) Nidoking (because I won't play without a ground type and most of the kanto ground types are sup-par or rock/ground type) Dragonite (A perfect team is never truly complete till you have at least one dragon) Venusaur ( I like having a sleeper on my team and in that regard he has always been one of the best) |

A move is only "not very effective" if a pokemon has a resistance to it. So why would hydro pump be not very effective to metapod a pure bug type? So gyarados would with out a doubt beat metapod long before stuggle would activate with either one of it's water moves. |

No sure don't. When I was about 16 my aunt got me one for the local gym and of course being the big football player I loved it and went there the next day. So there I was lifting some weights when I hear this obnoxious fool who was most likely on steroids talking to some chicks who obviously didn't like him to much. So I just sit there pumping iron with my head tilted back watching them and when he reached for her arm and got aggressive I told the worker behind me to take the weights. And when I did he said something about me having 20 more to do and I can clearly remember me saying "dude I'm about to get a better work out then I could ever get with these weights" and I hoped up with the swiftness and made a beeline to the big jerk. But before I ever got there he said something about some young kid wanting to play with the big boys so I just told him this young kid is about to kick your a**. So in what I want to call roid rage he charged at me with some stupid look in his eyes. Then being the clever one I just side stepped the big idiot and from there on it got a little gruesome and bloody. So for the sake of any kid reading this let's just say I'm not so easily beaten. So within the first day I got banned from the gym for life and now I have my own weights at the house to avoid something else like that happening again. |

No pokemon in is current form is far from violent. But if they were to make a slightly more "realistic" game on a console system then yes it would be violent. But I've always thought that when my jolly ev trained heracross hit's someone with his megahorn after a sword dance their dead without a doubt. So maybe it wouldn't hurt to be more violent, kids might not like it but I sure would. But people my age aren't the target audience for a reason tho I guess. |

It's 8:57 here but if I were to drive to my brothers house 2 minutes away it would be 9:57. Isn't central Kentucky just great. |

Never, I mean I can tell if I spelled a word wrong by the little weird line and correct it myself. Besides If I'm talking about something from a game like the name of a pokemon then it's going to always say it's spelled wrong. Like it did with pokemon. |

Yes I have horrible eyesight. Though I personally don't mind it to much. Growing up we were poor and didn't have insurance so I had to make do with out being able to sit in any row at school but the first or second row. Hell even then I couldn't read the board. But because I didn't have glasses I learned to live with my own useless eyes, while many others never learned such a thing. I'm now confident I can live better then many with perfect vision due to those years of being stuck with out glasses. I even managed to become an all-state football player with these eyes of mine. I mean sure I was a strong safety and therefore didn't need good eyes unless I went for an interception but in that case I just let out a little prayer and went for it. |

I going to go out on a limb and say that time is what happened to the good cartoons. Because since you grew up with certain show's your always going to give them an unfair advantage and besides it sounds like your most likely not in there target audience anyway. Besides haven't you watched wolverine and the x-men, they may never have made a second season but it's awesome. |

I've played every final fantasy besides the one with the weird battle system, you know the one with lightning or whatever has the main character. That being said the graphics may not be has good has the later ones. But in regards to being the full package (story, gameplay, and characters) none will ever compare to ff6 in my opinion. Not to mention that kefka is one of those antagonists that you actually find yourself hating before he's finally dead and gone. He just makes ff6 great all by himself and then when you add in locke, terra, a evil yet good ninja, and a yeti I just don't see how the others can compare. |

A truly underrated pokemon would be dunsparce, because with glare and serene grace you got an amazing paraflincher. It's not has good has togekiss in that regard but one is in UU while the other is in OU so there not competing for a spot on the same team anyway. |

I'd like to see more ghost types and good bug types but besides that I'd just like to seem more dual types. Or better yet more unique dual types. I mean how about ghost/fighting, fighting/flying, fighting/ dragon , bug/dragon , grass/dragon, ghost/ psychic, ground/fighting, and etc. I really like fighting types by the way. But I'd also really like to see a bug/ground type that isn't in the little cup, maybe they can give nincada an evolution that doesn't change it's type. |

If you want to be technical starmie has always been the best. Unless you take in to account mewtwo who shouldn't even be a choice being an uber. But anyway starmie is the best because he is fast can hit decently hard, and he might just be the best use of boltbeamer in the game. Then add in rapid spin and you got a pokemon born to be in the OU. A place without that many gen 1 pokemon. I mean there is a reason why he is one of the few pokemon who has always been a part of the OU. |

I liked him has a kid and I still think he looks cool. But I now hate charizard more then any other pokemon. I mean honestly am I the only one who has looked at his stats? oh well, maybe someday I'll find a hack where there isn't some kid talking about how no other pokemon can compare to their charizard who is most likely jolly nature. |

How could anyone but arceus be the king/god of all pokemon. I mean honestly he's the best pokemon of at least 6 or 7 types and most likely more. What other pokemon can say that? I mean anyone who think's arceus isn't the god and king of pokemon should try playing ubers against real people. Because there's no telling what type he will be but you can be sure arceus will be beating you like the king he is. I mean if his stats weren't enough the surprise factor he gives puts him in a league of his own. |
