Oh, for Pete's sake...

I have a PS2 controller that is USB connected to my computer.  It works great for a bunch of other games on Vizz, okay?

The Vizz button configuration for MAME "Pole Position" SUCKS, because it's stuffed with a bunch of "Z Axis +" bunch of baloney, instead of just having it as a button for accelerate, a button for brake, "Left" for turning left, and "Right" for turning right.


The offer still stands. ... 50,000 Viz to anyone who can go into the (Input this Game) section, after hitting ESC, (once the game is loaded,) and can tell me how to set the settings.

My controller works with smoothly with pretty much every Viz game, that doesn't include those "Z Axis +" or what have you racing game demands.

I don't know.

How do I determine if my controller is configured with drivers and all that to function as a PC controller? 

I have a PS2 controller.  I'm tired of trying to figure out what all that "Z Axis -" and "Analog Inc"  junk in the controller configuration screen should and shouldn't be.



I want the configuration for a PS2, PS3, or PS4 controller for the MAME version of "Pole Position."  Once I verify it works, you get 50,000 Viz.

Hi, David,

As somebody who enjoys racing games, I love MAME on Vizzed.  However, as one of many on this site that utilize a platform controller, (i.e. PlayStation, Xbox, etc.) inputting my controller functions for MAME racing games can become an arduous and fruitless task, time and time again.

All of this "Z Axis +" and "Pedal 1 Analog Inc" and "Dial Analog Dec" stuff is just too much.  Then, on top of that, trying to figure out how to tweak the sensitivity of the button speeds in the "Analog Controls" section of a game is just as frustrating.

Setting up the controls for a PlayStation or Xbox controller in that game isn't just confusing, it seems that it just doesn't work.  I've tried everything. 

Amazingly, it appears the most simple racing games of yester-decade are the most difficult to configure, thus never played, with all the "Inc + Z Dec Analog Twist Donk Positive Dev Polar Alignment Hesitate Sensitivity Reverb Muffin" baloney.

I'll pay you $20 per racing game I want to play, if you would get rid of all that junk, and implement a controller configuration that equals "Left" for turning left, "Right" for turning right, "Accelerate" for acceleration, "Brake" for brakes.

Davideo7 : First, Happy Easter, David!

Second, sorry about the Nintendo hairball mess.

Third, as maybe a solution, I noticed that a few versions of "Mario" Nintendo games that were removed from the Nintendo system are still available on other systems, like the Sega Genesis, Turbo Graphx, MAME, etc.

So, since those games are still allowed to be played on Vizzed, I guess because they're being played on another system's emulator, why can't we just find a way to shoehorn all the games that were eliminated onto another system emulator, like the Genesis?

In other words, can't a popular Pokemon homebrew/hack just somehow be coded to run on the Genesis emulator, on Vizzed?

Hmmm... If only there were a way to have a thread... a SUPER thread... where folks could upload game links to games that disappeared, so that other folks could still play those games.

Davideo7 :   I'm not knocking you.  This is a great deal, to garner Viz.  I was just confused by your wording.  I think it was my fault.

You emphasized 'no random songs,' so I started going through and voting on each and every "Ace Combat 4" song, (a game whose music I enjoyed,) so that my choices didn't seem "random."

Now, when I look at your criteria posting, I believe I've done the opposite of what you wanted.  If I did, it wasn't intentionally.  I listened to all of them.

Is it objectionable that I picked one game and started voting on each song of the game?  Should I be focusing more on widely known songs, like the theme to "Super Mario Bros." or "The Legend of Zelda" games?

I thought that by sticking to one game, I was avoiding the label of "random."  Now, I think I've done the opposite of your intent.

Could you clarify for me?

Davideo7 :   So, here's one of those "questions:" 

When I get to 25 songs, do I tell you, then I get 5000 Viz, and then once I get to 50 games, I tell you, and I get an additional 15000 Viz, and then when I get to 100 songs, I tell you, then I get an additional 50000 Viz?

Or, is this a one shot deal?  (If I want the 50000 Viz, I get nothing at 25 games, nothing at 50 games, and I must keep working at it until I've rated 100 games, then I tell you, then I get a one time payment of 50000 Viz?)

Love the deal.  Love the Viz Bump I get with each song rating.  Just need clarification on Viz distribution, with each milestone.
